“Outstanding great place to dine. We referred by a friend. In town to visit from NYC. The service was professional polite and friendly. Ambiance is powerful it's a great flow from the bar to the eating sitting. Definitely will be back. Portsmouth is on the move.“
“This is two restaurants in one with a bar on the lower level and a formal dining room on the top... We opted for the formal dining room. We ordered a cocktail, and our waiter promptly pushed us for our entrée order... we placed an appetizer order, and before the drinks were even to the table, we were asked for entrée order a second time... The drinks took forever, but when they arrived, we were asked a third time for our entrée order, even though we had not received our appetizer - The restaurant had several empty tables, yet we were feeling very rushed. I had the jambalaya, which was delicious with just the right amount of spice. Five Stars overall, and we would definitely come back, but probably try the downstairs tavern area and stay away from the more formal and rushed dining room. “
“Super slow!! I even had my lil sis go order the food pay for it and I picked it up when I got off which was like 30 minutes after she ordered everything and they told me I still had 10 minutes before food was ready. Wow really. So I don’t come here often and it’s expensive. Food is ok on a good day.“
“everything about the experience was great! our waiter gave us an outstanding performance on which item to chose from the menu, we loved it! I think the name was Danisha her name, im not sure i spelled it right but YALL TREAT HER WELL because she treated us with the utmost care.p.s… you guys have the best corn out there, just saying!“
“The food was really good... didn't think that management made the right decision to give a newbie a party of 11 on her 3rd day ... ? so you can imagine the frustration of getting the orders to the right person and payments done properly. .. was my first time there! Loved the music selections ... nice “
“The fried chicken here is amazing. For me the best fried chicken I've had in the area. If you're not doing in I recommend you order ahead as they cook your chicken when you order it, so you can end up waiting 20-25 minutes if you don't. But it IS worth the wait! I don't know how they are able to get the chicken so flavorful, crunchy, and moist. We had the 12 piece dark, family meal with mashed potatoes and gravy, which are really good also. The meal was so good, we went back the next day! This location is connected to another spot, and though there's seating I think it's mainly set up to be a takeout spot. I highly recommend.“
