“On Tuesday, August 26, we were three persons at an early dinner on a Tuesday night. The service was superb and the food was absolutely delicious. I wish we had taken photos of the huge spring rolls with shrimp. My friends had Green curry, and Pad See Euw (sp) and I had Pad Thai, my test for first time at a Thai place. All the dishes were lovely with generous portions and the atmosphere in a little private alcove was great. I plan to return next week after visiting Glenstone.“

“This restaurant is close to the INOVA medical complexMosaic, across from BMW Fairfax. The lunch special was amazing for $12.95. I chose chicken pad Thai and spring roll. Both came out piping hot and delicious. The portion was large and I brought half home with me. They have approx. 10 tables, pleasant music and fresh flowers on each table. My server (Kate) was attentive and very sweet. I highly recommend trying this restaurant, it’s always nice to support a local business.“

“Nalak Thai is a gorgeous restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, great looking food, and attentive staff. We enjoyed our time here and will be coming back.

We ordered the Moo Ping which was very tasty. It had a great grilled flavor and the sweet and sour sauce was a nice touch. We also got a side of peanut sauce, and I highly recommend getting that too for the Moo Ping.

For our entree we got the Laad Na with a side of white rice. It was cooked well, fresh ingredients, but lacked flavor. It felt like something was missing, maybe a little salt? Not sure, but we mixed it with the sauces from the Moo Ping and it helped.

The matcha flight was very lovely and it was nice to try the different flavors. The Thai matcha was my favorite, followed by the mango, coconut and strawberry.

I will say, this Thai place is a little more expensive than others in the area so keep that in mind if you want to visit. Great for a date night, though.“

“This is seriously some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. We tried the green curry, papaya salad, pad Thai, and Tom Yum soup and every dish was tastier than the last. Everything was incredibly flavorful, even the dishes that weren’t very spicy. Oh and the service! The waiters were so nice and the food arrived very quickly and pipping hot. Seriously a great spot for delicious Thai food.“

“Had read some mixed reviews but we gave it a shot and we were greatly impressed! We called ahead for our party of 10 and they had our reservations ready and accommodated us nicely. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Our party ranged from age 14 to 55, some loved Thai and some had never tried it. There was something for everyone to enjoy on the menu. Plus, it was very reasonably priced. We had a large party and it didn't break the bank, as they say. Great food and comradery was had by all! I don't normally write reviews, but again, I was impressed. Definitely recommend!“

“The crab fried rice is literally the reason my husband and I travel over an hour away for! We live in Maryland and make the drive each time because it’s so flavorful and a great portion size.

Their drunken noodles are also delicious with your choice of protein. The decor is very pretty, and it feels like a fine dining experience. Highly recommend!“

Recommendation to the owner…offer wonton noodles in a wet and dry form. Wet is what you do now. Dry you cook the noodles and add the noodles, wonton, and buk choy to a platter, and pour the soup in a smaller bowl on the side. The noodles and wonton stop cooking this way and don’t turn into mush. Also, invest in a jar of sambal!“

Just as good as the food was the service. There was this older lady there that I absolutely loved. In fact, even if the food was mediocre, which it definitely is not, I would still go back there for the service in particularly for this lady.

I didn’t comment on the atmosphere because I had my dog and sat outside to eat at a table that was not dedicated to the restaurant. But that was a nice atmosphere. It was very nice weather and surprisingly quiet given that the table was right next to the parking lot.“

The presentation is Michelin Star worthy, it is a must to photograph and appreciate the beauty of the dishes presented. The food is deliciously seasoned, not too salty or not too spicy, the seasoning is carefully and eloquently calculated. The sauces have the perfect texture, flavor, and tanginess. The proteins are of good quality that make for soft, tender, and juicy bites. The veggies are fresh and prepared to perfection with the right amount, not too much that I'm paying for a salad, but enough to provide some freshness and crispiness to the dishes. There is a great variety of dishes so there is something for anyone. Food checks are also provided to assure that the quality of the meals are always consistent. Drinks: The Thai tea is stellar, perfect. A little too sweet for my usual preferences, but combined with their water it creates for a perfect hydration combo to cleanse the pallate and fully savor the delicious Thai cuisine flavors. Their bar contains a great variety of drinks and spirits which I look forward to trying out soon. Service: They have some of the friendliest, most efficient, and knowledgeable servers. Always smiling, refilling water cups, answering all sorts of questions, and paying attention that the guests are taken care of properly. Even if the food wasn't as good as it is, I would definitely come back for consistent and respectful service.
