“I contacted Deep Run with a last minute request to cater for 130 people. They surpassed my expectations. I cannot thank you all enough. The food was amazing. Potato salad, mac/chz, BBQ, wings… all of it was delicious. And whoever answered the phone was helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I highly recommend. If you need catering or are just looking for some really good food… go! Thanks again Deep Run. Y’all delivered.“
“Friendly, welcoming atmosphere with great food. The North American Philly Sandwich, and the Tots with cheese blend. Wonderful mix of flavors! The health options of beverages and love the Stubborn fountain drink. We will definitely be visiting here again and will recommend it to our friends! 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“We came here for happy hour and I could taste that they used a good tequila in the margarita it was so good. I was going to get the firecracker shrimp but they had some Reuben sandwiches left from Saint Patties Day so we both had them and we weren’t disappointed! It came on marbled bread and the corned beef was sweet and tender with no gristle. Shout out to Brendan and DeAndre for excellent service! It was my BFF’s birthday dinner and they sent over a yummy chocolate cake for her. Thank you. Also, shout out to the chef as she really knows how to cook corned beef — it really was delectable.Edited to add that the beet tower with goat cheese was awesome!“
“I took some friends out for their engagement celebration to The Roosevelt and couldn't have made a better choice. The waitress was great. The food was excellent! My girlfriend said it was some of the best scallops she's ever had. Shout out to Will who graciously treated the table to a nice wine for the happy couple!“
“SO many great flavors to choose from; roasted strawberry will spoil you on regular strawberry ice cream forever! The cannoli ice cream(with mini cannoli shell) was excellent. My daughter always gets a sweet little macaron on top of whatever she chooses. It’s such a great spot to grab a great scoop (or two!) of ice cream.“
“Soul N' Vinegar catered an event on our college campus and they were fantastic! The food was delicious, well presented, and dietary information was well displayed. Michelle (and Mary!) were pleasures to work with and their arrival was very prompt and professional. I would recommend Soul N' Vinegar for your catering needs!“
“I've been eating and enjoying a favorite beverage with friends (some of the same friends I might add!) for over 40 years. Yikes. Sure, it was "Phil's" then, but through the changes, it remains and retains a greatness that brings me back. Love the "Three Chopt Salad" (fav) and many of the other menu choices. I believe you will love The Continental Westhampton too!“
“My waitress/bartender was exceptionally kind and caring. She checked on me every time she would walk by. Not once did she walk pass without acknowledging my presence or asking if I was ok or needed anything. The male greeter was also extremely kind and caring and even came to back near the bar to inquire about any needs i may have l, even engaged in some meaningful small talk. Another male waiter was very pleasant and answered questions that i had regarding the drink menu. Over all a great experience, great food and awesome hospitality. I highly recommend this establishment to others and will be returning. I came in stressed and left feeling seen, cared for and quite full ?“
“We ordered a catered lunch for work which included chicken and lamb kabobs, yellow and white rice, hummus and pita, tabouli, grape leaves, Greek salad and baklava. EVERYTHING was delicious. So flavorful and freshly made! And the presentation was beautiful! The kabobs and rice were piping hot and the salads and hummus were cool and fresh. Everything had just the right amount of spices. And the baklava was the best I’ve ever had and my colleagues were in agreement. The owner went out of his way to prepare an amazing catered lunch. It was beyond 5 stars. We will definitely be ordering again from 2MPS.“
“We ate at La Grotta for the first time last night. It will be the first of many! The service, food, and ambiance were spectacular. We were a party of 3 and each of us cleaned our plates. Our friend with Celiac could choose from almost the entire menu which is unheard of, especially at an Italian restaurant. If you're looking for a truly delicious meal, you'll find it at La Grotta! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“First off.....this place is tiny so no parties over 4.....but there's also a nearby park if your group wants to order and eat there. I've done this on a nice day before. The variety of options here is outstanding. I've tried several sandwiches here and have never left unhappy. Most recently I had the Manny, the Teacher, the Scribe and chicken Salad. I would get them all again but the menu is so vast I'm always compelled to try something new. Most recently Kiki took care of us and was great suggesting something new. Keeping this one in the rotation!“
“I consider myself a croissant snob. I love to try new bakeries all the time so I can try their croissants. The croissants from this place were some of the best I’ve ever had. There was quite a line to wait in but I’d say it was worth it. They also have coffee which I think is another big draw to this place.“
“Lovely little bakery on a cute street. Stopped by on a Saturday morning to get the best selection and they had so many tasty-looking items. It was hard to choose! I selected the chocolate-almond croissant, the canele, and the supreme of the day (coffee-chocolate). We moved to Richmond from Charlottesville and I am a big fan of Marie Bette and the late, great Bowerbird Bakeshop. Idle Hands is definitely on the level with these. The supreme is a unique offering, and I'm so glad I was able to try it in one of my favorite flavors - coffee. It was huge and had tons of coffee pastry creme - so good. The canele was good, although I prefer the mini ones from Marie Bette - the smaller size makes a better ratio between the caramely outside and the soft inside. The chocolate-almond croissant was the star of the show. So generously filled with almond cream that it weighed nearly 12 ounces! Light and delicious pastry. A perfect treat!“
“Stopped by today to get cupcakes for a friend’s birthday—what a fun little cafe with fabulous atmosphere and friendly service. We got several cupcakes. They were all frosted beautifully with a great presentation. The cake and the frosting on each that I tried were AMAZING. Great texture, crumb and flavor. One of them was GF—best GF cupcake we’ve ever, ever had!We will definitely be back!“
“Our go-to for desserts, and they just happen to be vegan! Flavorful, beautifully prepared, unique items you can't find elsewhere. The savory options are amazing too, they are magicians with seitan. Don't miss their seasonal offerings for holidays! Most recently we had a delicious box of items for high tea from their Mothers' Day menu and everything was perfect and fresh. We are really lucky to have Sunflower Gardenz in our city, a hidden gem for sure“
“Les Crepes is wonderful. Another lovely dining experience in Carey town, it's a must do if you're looking for both great desserts and some savory meals. I particularly love the Cinnabona crepe, which is a sweet, fruity cinnamon bun themed dessert crepe. The outdoor porch is spacious and gives amazing views, especially at night. The serving staff has always been prompt, offers solid advice, and have good vibes. They also have a parking lot, which is a huge bonus for the area!“
“This is the best hot & sour soup I've had - it's the closest to that of a Chinese restaurant from my childhood. I immediately ordered another container of it to-go! The bbq pork fried rice has a wonderful smokey flavor. Fantastic service, my waiter was so kind!“
“Dinner with a friend at The Savory Grain. Early reservations for two and were seated immediately. It had been a long time since I had been out so we really wanted to talk over drinks before ordering so I checked with our waitress that this was ok. We did not want to tie up her table if a turnover was needed. She encouraged us to relax and go at our own pace and asked us to let her know when we were ready to order since she did not want to keep interrupting us. A couple of happy hour beers in we ordered the fried green tomatoes appetizer, shrimp and grits entree, and the meatloaf entree. The beer was nice and cold, the food was absolutely amazing. The appetizer arrived long enough before the entree for us to enjoy it. The entrees were generous enough that we both brought home leftovers and mine became my husband’s dinner. I could not have asked for a nicer evening out.“
“Tony, our server did a great job. The food was very good, especially compared to other Italian restaurants in the arena. Prices were very far for the quality of food. The atmosphere is traditionally Italian restaurant and cozy. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience. Would come back again and recommend to friends.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pizza⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Calzone“
“Usually I have to drive out another 30 minutes from where I already am in Richmond to get good Vietnamese food. Pho 1 Grill is not only accessible, but also delicious. I am Southeast Asian and very picky when it comes to pho, but I loved it here. I also had the banh xeo and salted creme coffee which were delicious. The staff are all very considerate, and the owner was great as well. There is something on the menu for everyone, but in my opinion the traditional Vietnamese dishes like the pho, banh mi, and broken rice/vermicelli dishes are where this restaurant really shines.“
“WPA knocked our birthday cake out of the park. We had to accommodate dairy-free, egg-free, soy-free and gluten-free dietary restrictions and not only was the cake INCREDIBLE, but the service was so good. I emailed my inquiry and got a response quickly. I had a change the week of my order and it was accommodated with a smile. Our birthday girl, who had the dietary restrictions, could not believe that she could really eat the cake. We had one guest day he thought the WPA cake was better than the other one we had that was the same flavor but had gluten, dairy, egg and soy.WPA will now be our go-to bakery. Thank you!I can’t thank WPA Bakery enough for making our birthday cake surprise a huge hit. Thank you!!!!“
“This place has been on my bucket list of places to try for what feels like forever. I'm happy to report it was worth the wait. Lamplighter is busy street corner with a tiny little parking lot in front. They have a separate entrance for you to place your order. When you place your order they ask for your name no additional order number is given. This proved to be a little confusing as there were two Jason's at the same time and they received the wrong drink. I ordered an iced lavender latte, breakfast burrito and a sweet potato muffin. Everything was really good. The breakfast burrito tasted homemade and was accompanied by a fresh salsa that was great. I will flag that this cafe is Vegan friendly as they have several vegan/ vegetarian options on the menu. Overall I really enjoyed my coffee and food and look forward to trying this place out in the future!“
“We ordered through Door Dash and the food was fantastic! I got the Platter with shrimp kebob, veggie kebob, rice, flat bread & cucumber/onion/tomato salad! The ingredients tasted fresh and were seasoned perfectly! It felt like healthy eating and was reasonably priced! We will definitely be ordering from this place again!“
“Picked up dinner from here for some company we had over from Rhode Island. So easy to order online, ready at the estimated time, and all the food was so delicious!! We got the spring rolls, noodles of the drunk w/ chicken, pad see ew w/ tofu, chicken pho, and chicken pad Thai. All dishes were excellent! ?? Our guests from RI loved it!! Would totally recommend if you’re craving Thai food!“
“This is our favorite sweet treat. (Lombardy location) I haven't found any other donut shop with a variety of vegan options. My child has food allergies to eggs and nuts. The employees even placed the vegan donuts in a separate bag/box to prevent cross-contamination. Kudos for the service and the best tasting treats.Vegetarian options: A row of different types of donuts labeled vegan“
“My company had a big job to do this holiday season and Sharon didn't even bat an eye. She was GREAT at communicating with us, and came up with the perfect choice for our clients. We've had some great feedback from our recipients of the wonderful truffles. I highly recommend reaching out if you have a special job that needs personal attention. Thanks again!“
“We retirees get together here once every other month for the flexible seating, the low-noise atmosphere, the soft-serve ice cream, the friendly, superior staff, and the many delicious menu items that truly merit our business, keep us returning!!“
“Terrific staff and beer as always. New set up is terrible. Nobody wants to have a full service brewery. Nobody wants to have to reserve a table. Please go back to original set up. let us sit where we want. order a beer when we want. If we want full service we will go to the restaurant side. This may work at the other locations, but Richmond isn't Charlottesville. This was our goto brewery, today's has us thinking differently now“
“Where do I start. Ok, I love this place it feels like home. It is every letter of AMAZING. The taste is unlike any other restaurant here in the city. You can feel the love in each bite you consume. The service is always nice and the food never lets me down. If you haven’t been PLEASE GO it’s one of the best restaurant in Richmond. The yams will make you say “I YAMMMMMMM” lol“
“Check the hours before heading over. The shop has free 3 hr street parking outside if you get lucky. The side has a ramp into the shop. We didn't see much of the bakery today, but the ice cream satisfied two kiddies and a grown up(espresso Oreo). There is a restroom for customers only. Quite a few shops on this street didn't have restrooms. The waffle cones are the familiar brand of "Joy". The shop has many seats and tables inside. The view is Byrd Theatre and the cool shop Bygones. I could imagine myself spending a couple of hours enjoying desserts, coffee, bakery,... here.Parking: Free 3 hr street parking if you are luckyKid-friendliness: Kid's size ice creamMy kids love themWheelchair accessibility: The side of the shop has an outdoor ramp up into its side door.“
“There is no place better than Sally Bell’s. From the award winning potato salad, to the little cheese crackers, upside down iced cupcakes, and deviled eggs, you can’t buy a better prepared lunch. My favorite sandwich is the cream cheese/olive. My kids love the country ham and most go for the chicken salad. Every couple months we make a food run from the Washington area to Richmond and we buy boxed lunches to last for two days, plus an extra pound of potato salad. My grandchildren will now be the 4th generation in my family to love Sally Bell’s. Get in your car and go. Thank me later.Parking: Parking on the side of the building and if needed, in the lot behind.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Kids with their parents for take out or eat in. I have been going there since I was four.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible.“
“We had the entire restaurant to ourselves for a little and the customer service was great!!! Even after some customers came in, our customer service was still good. The margarita was delicious and we loved the giant single ice cube in it. The sushi rolls were on the small side, but happy hour price Maki rolls are not bad. The restaurant is well decorated and has cute vibe inside. It was an easy stroll from the canal walk to the restaurant. Food was good. Not the best best taste and quality of Thai food that we have had. 5 for service and atmosphere“
“Yes, it was busy, and I almost told another customer off because he was getting irate about waiting, but let me tell you it was 100% worth the wait! The Double Trouble Chocolate Waffle was just DELICIOUS! I don’t think I’ve ever had something so delicious for breakfast in my life! If I ever find myself in Richmond again, I will be coming back here!!!“
“Eating pizza, listening to the good ole Grateful Dead, couldnt be better IMO. It had been a really long time since Ive been to Bottoms Up and I was not disappointed in the least. Pizza was soooo dang good, I ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner the next day!“
“Was craving a chocolate cupcake and I'm glad Pearl's Bake Shoppe came up as a recommendation. Maddie and her staff were very friendly and helpful. My brother got the gluten free cupcake which was, to our surprise- really moist and delicious!! Maddie's suggestion of the double trouble cupcake REALLY satisfied my chocolate cupcake craving. The chocolate sponge cake was moist, the chocolate buttercream frosting was tasty. Highly recommend coming to Pearl's and grabbing yourself a sweet treat. Thank you to Maddie and the entire Pearl's Bake Shoppe team.“
“We visited the Staples Mill location for the first time yesterday. The staff was friendly and helpful, telling us about their business and offering free samples. We got a variety of bread, baked goods and sweet treats and so far everything is top notch. The baguettes are amazing - we just had some in France and these are just as good! Amazingly, we found the prices to be very reasonable. We will definitely return.“
“Nice atmosphere and friendly service…Ordered Baked spaghetti and meatballs…. Delicious and piping hot….My wife had Southwest chicken soup….Generous serving…My server Nas is the best… had three other members help us also… team effort…from our water to our table being cleared everything was timely and-not a rush….“
“So I think I found my NEW favorite cookies spot. Cookies were still warm to the touch on delivery. Cookies were huge and the oatmeal raisin cookie is to die for! We also tried the chocolate chip, red eye cookie and the cookies and cream. All flavors were spectacular!! I used to love insomnia cookie but lately they’ve been lacking in quality but as long as these red eye cookies stay the same. I will be a customer FOREVER!! Do yourself a favor and go get a cookie!!“
“P.F. Chang’s is one of our favorite places to eat out as a family. My children and I love the food and the staff are always so kind and patient. The portions have always been more than enough for leftovers to take home to enjoy again the next day!“
“10/10 experience!! we had the nachos, the tacos locos, and the churros which were all incredible. it’s so hard finding delicious, safe food as a person with celiac—so happy to have found this place! the service was excellent too: attentive, kind, and helpful. highly recommend whether you’re local or visiting! :)“
“The server was slower than normal. The gaucho's serving the meat was on point, providing special requests in a timely manner. The salad bar was fresh and well stocked. The server providing drinks had to be reminded of drinks needed refilled. Overall, using the discount card every one ate for around $40 each including non-alcoholic drink and tip.“
“I had the privilege of being there for dinnertime, so glad to say I was engaged in conversation with the grandchild. He was a good boy and knew quite a bit about the process of running a restaurant. He definitely did not want to leave, neither did I. I will be back soon.“
“Best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had!We went in with our 6 month old looking to grab lunch and the kitchen was backed up. One of the servers, I wish I’d gotten her name, was so sweet and accommodating and got us a table, letting us know that service could be a bit slow. She really took care of us and was so attentive, despite how short staffed they were. The food was delicious and they have a wonderful draft beer selection!“
“Sunday happy hours 5-6pm for selected desserts at the counter! The waiter was sweet to recommend us to switch from the original to the chocolate croissant. We also bought an almond blueberry scone with a slice of sugar powdered brownie. They're delicious, it's just that the scone didn't fit my taste as much.Highly recommend some of the pins there with funny taglines (Eat the Rich, anybody?) and nice old time cartoon stickers for $3. It's a nice little shop at Carytown, don't miss it for afternoon tea.“
