“This place is truly authentic Mexican food. I felt like I stepped into a little restaurant in a Mexican town and made an order of food there. Wonderful food. Will go there many more times! The food is made in a food truck/trailer next to the building. The cashiers bring it in to you. Not much space to eat. Maybe 6 or so tables. Lots of people get it to go.The attached grocery store is like stepping into another culture as well. Awesome place.“
“Food was very good and prices were reasonable. Service was a bit slow because they stay busy, but food was fresh and well worth the wait. The pozole was some of the best I have had, the tacos are delicious and who can argue with dollar tacos on Tuesday?!! This is a must try!!“
“Nice find in Roanoke. Visiting a relative and looking to sample local eatery. Village grill didn't disappoint! Very friendly staff and we happened to be there on thursday, half priced burgers! Sooo Hokie burger it was. Everything was fresh and delicious and served quickly. Highly recommend. Thanks guys.“
“Delightfully surprised by this place. It was clearly a convenience store at one time, now a hole in the wall style Mexican joint with amazingly good food. They are still doing various renovations, so a bit cluttered inside but honestly that doesn’t matter - this place is all about the food. I had the Carnitas Tortas, basically a pork sandwich. It was so big I only ate half. Very tasty. The red hot sauce has a nice kick to it. They have authentic Mexican drinks available in the old cooler, including authentic Coca Cola in a glass bottle. I will definitely be coming back here to try the many different items on their menu.“
“If there is one thing I would like to see more of in Roanoke, VA, it's more food trucks. Slowly, but surely, more are cropping up, and I am grateful when real gems like La Cocina de Goyita arrive on the scene. La Cocina de Goyita is a Honduran food truck with more than just your standard fare. Of course the steak and chicken tacos with homemade hot sauce are a must, but the savory Carne Asada (steak) and flakey deep-fried Pescado Frito (fish) are out of this world delicious. I am making it a goal to try everything on the menu as nothing has disappointed yet. Additionally, the family that runs this business is extremely nice, which only adds to a great experience. If you would like to try some delicious Honduran food, give La Cocina de Goyita a try.“
“I had delivery so not sure of atmosphere or service. I know I had to wait 30 min because they were so busy. The queso is amazing. Salsa had big chunky tomatos and no heat so not a big fan. The guacamole was nothing special little to much onion taste. Chicken taco was really good had great flavor. The Arroz con Pollo has very good flavor, It's different has mushrooms in it and black beans, but good flavor. Overall good meal, but queso is by far the best thing I ate.“
“The food here was excellent and we had a great experience, but after we paid for our food we realized they added an automatic gratuity of 15% to the check. We were only a group of 2 and I didn’t see anything posted about an automatic gratuity. So we ended up tipping 35% unintentionally. I don’t know why they added the automatic tip, and I’m disappointed because we had such a good experience otherwise. It left a sour taste in my mouth ):“
“Passing through town me and my wife were looking for a place to take our kids that we could also enjoy seeing that we are Foodies always in search of that next great culinary memory. We tried several things but the Baja shrimp and the mahi tacos are definitely something that we are going to remember for a long time. Big thanks to the staff of Cabo fish taco.“
“Every Tuesday $1 street tacos! Pork carnitas or chicken. These are the smaller tacos but very filling. A child would be happy eating one. An adult would be happy eating four. Authentic and delicious food. Staff is super friendly! Love this place. Limited seating. Maybe six booths but I like how cozy it is. Great for take out. They are super fast. Make sure and tip them well especially on Taco Tuesday and definitely try the Mexican chili oil on your tacos if you like spice.Parking: If parking lot is full there is tons of street parking.“
“If you are craving tacos, I would highly recommend this place. Huge taco selection which is ala cart. They do have other traditional items as well but the tacos are killer.I sampled the fish, shrimp, and steak which were all amazing. They do have a small bar with margaritas as well.Go check the out, you will be happy you did“
“Wow… so I took everyones advise and hype on social media and tried their tacos! My boyfriend tried their torta Cubana. My 4 year old had their half order of beef and cheese nachos! The food portion is huge! We also ordered chips and salsa! We made it out of there with $38We were extremely impressed with this place! I personally like how small and personal it was. Adriana was our server who is the owners wife! Great experience and 10/10 recommend. My belly hurts in the absolute best way. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!“
