It's not fine dining but a long shot, but it's got a cute vibe and great food. The j*** chicken tacos and plantains are especially good. The tater tots are everything.“
“All 3 of us thought our meals were very good. We had a great server who was very helpful choosing our meals and checked on us regularly. The atmosphere is nice and was clean and neat. Prices have gone up noticably in the last couple years like almost everywhere“
“It is a little hole in the wall place that TOTALLY SOLD ME. I ordered sashimi (this is why we go, right?) wow! let me tell you. The presentation alone will want you to take a picture of the plate. My combo came with an orchid in the center. Sashimi was delicious! Their staff was SUPER efficient. The Atmosphere... quaint and comforting. I would go back there as soon as I go back to that city. What you'd expect from a modern chain-like popular eatery...busy on a Saturday at lunch-time with the usual wait for an indoor booth, no wait for patio, bar or the shared 'community table' high tops.Menu has full range of apps, salads, sandwiches, tacos, steaks and modern taproom food with a specials menu.Buffalo cauliflower app was so salty it was inedible. Nachos were great and we really appreciated allowing us to substitute the pulled pork for grilled chicken. Kids chicken fingers plate had hot, tasty shoe-string fries, but chicken fingers themselves, small and dried-out. Friend liked her fried chicken sandwich and husband liked his sliders. My side-dishes (asparagus, mashed potatoes and sweet potato fries) were good, but mains came to us cold to lukewarm like they had sat too long before delivered to the table.Service was friendly from hostess stand to server, but drinks came slow and visits were spotty.We'd try again if in the immediate vicinity and husband really wanted beer variety, but we'd want to check out other options too.Vegetarian options: Salads and sidesKid-friendliness: They provide coloring sheet, crayons, kid menu.“
“This is a hidden gem! I understand this restaurant has been open for many years. Maybe due to the locality, I’ve overlooked it. But, today I stopped in and was SO pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is meticulously clean and decorated very nicely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was great! I got the crabcake and flounder platter with yams and asparagus. The only complaint I have… is that I didn’t stop in here sooner! I will definitely be returning to Fish n Grill. Thank you!“

“My husband and I are new to the area and have been trying different restaurants every week. We recently tried Firebirds and, in our opinion, the food was just ok. However, the server was phenomenal and the atmosphere was wonderful.My husband and I each had a steak, his was the Cajun and mine was the NY strip. The cut of each steak was perfect and thick. Each steak was cooked to perfection. The flavor was lacking and the seasoning was basic. There wasn't anything that made this steak really standout from other restaurants we have been to. In all honesty, the steak tasted better after my husband and I took home the leftovers, and cut the steak up, and put it in a salad.We will definitely try Firebirds again, but it won't be for the steak. We truly appreciated our server who was extremely busy, but was very attentive to our table. She filled out drinks, checked on our table numerous times, and was very sweet. As I said earlier, the Firebirds atmosphere was on point! As a result of these two important factors, we will definitely try another meal at Firebirds.“
“I wish I had more time to write this review. We meet some friends here that we hadn't seen in a few years and besides the great company our server read the table very well all night. His timing on taking our orders blended perfectly with our conversations. Then his dinner reccomendations were the highlight, the dishes we all decided on where based on his descriptive explanations of each dish and they were spot on when our food arrived. This place deserves 6 stars.“
“The food here is pretty decent but it was really loud in there and even though I told the guy behind the counter I couldn't hear him and verified which burger I wanted TWICE he rang me up for a burger that cost twice as much as the one I ordered and when I told him he gave me a $5 coupon for "the next time you're in". I understand that they might have been busy and it might be policy not to refund or anything like that but it was pretty frustrating after I'd tried to communicate it beforehand and it was more then a $5 difference. Oh well...the burgers aren't bad and the place is really cute ?“

“My review on my first time eating Captain D's restaurantI got the Fish and Fries combo with 2 just puppies to go. The fries, I rate them a 3.4/5.0. It taste like Burger King fries. They were a little hard. If there was a little bit more salt added to the recipe, it would taste better. But overall, they were good. ?? The hush puppies, I rate them a 2.8/5.0. They weren't the best but they taste ok. They smelled like rice which is my least favorite food. If there was a little less seasoning to the hush puppies, they may taste better. Overall, like I said, they were ok.Last but not least, the fish. I rate this fish a 4.7/5.0 It taste delicious. This is probably the crispiest fish I've ever eaten!? At first, in smelled like chicken. ? Crispy skin and great fish inside. Overally, the fish was incredible.????I rate this meal a 3.9/5.0, about a 4/5 stars. I call Lin's to advise them of my error and suggested that they could just donate my food to some walk in customer. I felt that they should not incur a loss due to my mistake. “My wife and I were finished with our Sunday errands and looming for a place to have lunch. We decided to drive 20 minutes out of our way to a place called Peanut's Steak and Seafood in Spotsylvania Courthouse. From the outside it's a very unassuming place. However when we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly server. We sat at one of the relatively few tables they had. I think Peanut's might be more of a carry out place. They obviously specialized in crabs. On the wall was the Super Bowl specials, which included crabs, crawfish, frogs legs, alligator nuggets. They also had beer in the cold case to go, along with sodas.Anyway, we sat and ordered drinks. My wife wanted unsweetened ice tea, however they only had sweet tea. She had that, and reported that it wasn't overly sweet so it was fine. I had a Dr. Pepper, which came bottled. We ordered onion rings as an appetizer. They were very good, nicely breaded and hot.My wife ordered two soft shell crabs, one made into a sandwich. She loves soft shell crabs, and said that these were quite good sized and very good. I had a Ribeye Steak Sandwich, medium, with baked beans. The steak was decent, and it may have been medium rare instead of medium. However to me over-cooking is the greater sin so it was fine.We enjoyed Peanut's, and if we're in the area again, we would certainly come back.“
