“Actually way better than I was expecting. The view is obviously top tier so that helps with the atmosphere, but inside is nice with a very cozy lodge feel. Service was a tad slower but I think our server may have been stoned (the happy kind, not the lazy apathetic kind) so it's all good lol. Food was delicious, I got the meatloaf dinner and her the mushroom ravioli (her dish was better)... not too terribly pricey either, def would return!“

“Family run, hidden gem BBQ. We came here after visiting the Luray Caverns, about a three minute drive down the road, and it was incredible! They take credit cards and cash. The family that runs the station is very sweet and the bbq food is the best I've ever had! Ribs fell right off the bone. Smokey meat sampler, side of potato salad, Cole slaw, and sauces. The meat fell right off the ribs and the pulled pork is to die for. I am not a bi fan of potato salad but their homemade p.s. was incredibly delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We will be going back if we ever visit Shenandoah valley again!“

Food was fresh, hot and tasty. Large menu to choose from. Nice selection of tea to choose from. Great as tea drinkers are often overlooked in restaurants. We had a great breakfast experience! Highly recommend.“

“Really a gas station and convenience type store, but they have a limited seating area and a small kitchen. The lady made me a good meat lover's omelette. The place was recommended by a local resident for a simple breakfast. It worked for me. Don't expect white linen table cloths though.“

“The food was great. We had the breakfast buffet at 17$. If you have a light eater, do yourself a favor and just order them something from the menu or it won’t work out price wise. All of the food on the bar was fresh and great. I ended up having three plates to make up for those in my party who were full after the first plate :)Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very nice, with the cabin feel.“

“Reviews Jellystone Luray was a great trip with our family of three with an almost 3 year old (and two dogs). We booked this trip because it was kid-centered and only a 30 minute drive. It ended up becoming a favorite vacation of ours and one we will continue to book. We stayed in a Premium Loft Cabin (with the oven and screened in porch options). I am more of a “glamping” person than a rough it person and this was a great option! It was a great amount of space (we used the loft as a play area). I can see it feeling cramped if there were more adults that joined our trip. Things we loved: Golf cart rental. It’s hard to tell from Google maps and pictures, but our cabin was at the top of a big hill and at least a minute’s ride to and from the pools (easily a 20 minute walk with a toddler). The golf cart definitely made the trips to and from the cabin possible. Splash pad. My toddler loved the splash pad options and little “bubbler pool” while the adults had a blast in with the water slides. Great options for all ages. (I do wish the pool hours began earlier, however) Different activities. When we needed a break from the pool, there were plenty of activities to keep us busy. The glitter tattoos were a big hit (and surprisingly lasted 3-4 days) as well as the play grounds. My toddler became really interested in Yogi after seeing him at Gem Mining. We were able to book a bedtime story last minute and the staff really delivered a great time! It ended up being just us, and it was a highlight of our trip. Our little was starstruck by Boo Boo Bear. Screened in Porch: this added so much extra living space to the cabin. The ceiling fan and lack of mosquitos was perfect and will always be something we book moving forward. Where there were some cracks: We visited in mid-July, the middle of peak season, and it was apparent in the smaller details. Our checkin time was delayed by 90 minutes and the cabin floor was very dirty (as in needed to be moped but was swept clean) but these are small things in the grand scheme of our trip. (Every staff member we saw was extremely kind and working very hard; these things are just par for the course in my opinion). Things I wish we would have brought: Walkie Talkies (Verizon service was nonexistent and WiFi was decent only around the ranger station) Over the door towel rack (bathroom had one very small towel bar) More decorations for our golf cart/campsite. It was so fun to see other sites go all out with the Christmas in July theme. It was a highlight of my toddler’s to drive around in the golf cart to look at the decorations. Overall, I came into this trip with no expectations and left knowing this will be a new yearly tradition for our family! The views are picturesque, there was always something to do and the lack of cell services really allowed us to disconnect and enjoy each other’s company.“

“Good food, excellent prices. Fed my family of 3 for $26. A similar lunch elsewhere could easily get up to $50+. Staff was friendly, even though it was spring break rush crowds. Enjoyed the lunch here so much, we came back the next day for seconds!Kid-friendliness: Multiple popular kid food options. Even served juices and milk. Multiple ice cream deserts popular with kids too.Wheelchair accessibility: Has ramps to get from the parking lots to the restaurant. But they are uphill.“

“We got to Skyland shortly before dining hours were over. Despite being some of the last people the staff were gracious and welcoming. Our server Haley provided excellent service and was very friendly and nice! We had the trout, beef, and the pork dinner entrees and they were REALLY REALLY delicious. The dinner and service were better than some fancy places we’ve been in New York City! I think this was the best food we’ve had in a very long time. Thank you for your efforts dinner was wonderful.I almost forgot, I did not finish my pork because it was a hearty serving, but Haley mentioned the blackberry compote was their specialty so I figured I could fit some. It was also delicious. I ended up eating the whole dessert. Everything was so good!“
