“The fish tacos were outstanding! As well as the crab cake. Know what's even better, putting the crab cake in the fish tacos. The only thing that wasn't worth trying again was the crab soup. Y'all should try doing the crab soup.“

“What a wonderful experience. The menu is prix fix. The day prior, we were asked our preferences two of the courses. Service was impeccable. Each course was a visual treat and gustatory extravaganza. Most courses included fresh herbs from the kitchen garden; picked during the meal! Wine pairing was extra, but worth the charge.We started with shrimp in a pesto sauce with asiago cheese. The soup was a sweet pea and three onion soup garnished with dill and pansy. The meat course was lamb with a mustard au jus. I had seared scallops over polenta with a butter rosemary sauce. The dessert was a house-made cheesecake with berry coulis.“

“Really cute, lively spot in downtown Irvington! I got amazing fried oyster tacos with a side of tots and my god was it good! I'm currently on a dirty martini kick and so far this is the best one I've had in the northern neck. Our waitress Reba was also a major highlight of the evening! She was so kind and attentive! “Me and my friend did a little "Oyster Tour of the Middle and Upper Peninsula" and Fish Hawk was stop #2. While we only had the oysters (which were FANTASTIC!) the atmosphere of the place and decor (including the whole Tides Inn) were top notch. Nothing compared to our bartender Frank! He was so nice, and knowledgeable. We got there close to closing but he took time to give us a tour and a fantastic history lesson about the Inn and the area. I would have come back because all 3, Food, Service and Atmosphere but honestly you can have ok food and atmosphere. People make it great. Frank is great and we are gonna make another trip soon because of him. Yall have a gem!“

“Came for dinner and was quickly seated. Lots of group seating as well as tables and booths in the back. Definitely off season as there was a lot of open space that is likely filled during season. First off, this is a bar. And as a result, it was bar food. Not that it's a bad thing, but I think it's a misnomer to call it a restaurant that serves alcohol. It's the other way and the food is limited to quick, bar foods. It was tasty, but the variety is definitely limited. Started with the rum punch and fried oysters. Would highly recommend both. Then went with the fish tacos which were again good, but was hoping to get some more substantial food. Finished off with a micro slice of key lime pie. Tasted really good! But I doubt I would do it again. Great place for drinks and have food if you want a bite.“

“It has a nice feeling of a small town cafe. The servers were great and the food was good. We come down every year for the Urbana Oyster Fest and always try to get at least one or two meals there over the 4 days we are here.“
