“We were so impressed to find a Mexican restaurant near us that has great food at reasonable prices. We were happy to find a place that doesn’t automatically cover your food with jalapeños and cilantro! That in itself was a big win for us! We ordered a taco salad, Texas nachos and seafood burrito and have enough left for at least another meal. I would definitely recommend them. They have found 2 new, soon to be regular, customers!“
“Amazing place for seafood lovers!! We both got platters with 4 options and everything was amazing. I got the fried stuff (flounder, shrimp, scallops, clams, calamari), very lightly battered, fried perfectly and juicy. The grilled stuff (flounder, oysters, shrimp, crab cake also) was also juicy and perfectly cooked. Fries, okra, sweet potato fries were delicious as well.Small snafu with my order was taken care of very quickly and with a smile. This was a dinner worth every penny and when I am back in the area I will be back for more!“

“Overall great food and service. I’ve visited twice now and both times I had a consistent experience for lunch. The first time I had the soft shell crab poboy and this time the seafood boil bowl with shrimp and sausage. The poboy was a very good size that won’t leave you hungry. The taste was great as well, I just needed a lil hot sauce which is just personal preference. The seafood boil bowl was a healthy serving size as well. I got the spicy level of heat which had me sweating the whole time but was still flavorful. I’ll likely lower down to mild next time though. The service was fast and my waiter was very enthusiastic.“

I also love the Tomatillo sauce for dipping ... fantastic! However, having said that my last experience was not so pleasant. Our server was not attentive at all .... AGAIN!. And were not offered free refills after returning with our checks. We were not even asked how the food was. The place was not crowded, so this should not have been an issue. The food… was either hit or miss, let me explain.Course 1- Tuna Tartare, it was so good! The sriracha ice cream was great with it.Course 2- Shrimp and grits, it’s was … pretty sweet. I didn’t think it was bad, I enjoyed it. My husband said it tasted like pancake syrup ? so he wasn’t a big fan.Course 3- Crab cake, damn was this good! If I was to go back, I would order the crab cakes.Course 4- Grilled Octopus, no ??♀️ not a fan. It was pretty chewy, and the black beans it came with were so hard, we were confused on if they cooked the beans or not. I just moved them to the side and didn’t eat them.Course 5- Scallops, not bad. I’m not a big fan of scallops, but both tasting menus had them so I couldn’t avoid them.Course 6- Australian Wagyu Ribeye Cap, this was very good! The steaks was cooked perfectly, just yes.Course 7- Chocolate cake with cherry ice cream, SUCH A GOOD ENDING! I’ve never had cherry ice cream but I loved it!Overall I’m glad we got the 7 course, and not the 5. Crab soup was very good, but leans a bit heavy on the old bay. Overall, pleasant lunch and our server was very nice and attentive.“

“We went here for my birthday dinner with my in-laws, and it was delicious. Their shrimp appetizer was amazing and the rest of the food for the whole table was great. Their portions were huge, so if you order the flounder dinner (as my friend found out) - be ready to eat! The place is very small and very dive bar like. From the outside and the menu, I don't think you would expect that, but it was definitely smaller than anticipated. Just be ready for that and you will be golden.“

“I go there at least once a week for a big chick or a green plate. The food is always good and fresh. Customer service is good for the most part, they take the order and you wait lol it's that simple. There is no ambiance or aesthetically pleasing parts about this place just get your food and bounce. I saw a person review that stated two stars because she went and didn't see the restaurant well Lynn it's there and there was never a drive thru at the Hampton location. Drive thru is in Newport News. Overall tho it's good but eat it while it's hot because the taste changes to me once it's cold.“
“We had a skrimp po boy which tasted fantastic with a nice kick plus a side of hushpuppies which were also great; we ordered everything as takeout and sadly by the time we got home the po boy was all but disintegrated however that did not take away from the quality at all, the portion of shrimp was pretty generous. We tried the gizzards too which seemed to be a new menu addition and while the portion was also decent they were not as good, fine but not great but then again it is a seafood place and not a chicken place mainly. The prices are alright and theres a lot of sitting space inside.“
