“This is the best BBQ place we have ever been to! We had a party of 10 and tried many items from the menu. From the brisket nachos, Kansas City pulled pork, Mac n cheese, bbq chicken, ribs, potato salad, cornbread, Carolina pulled pork, and meat candy. It was ALL so delicious and the owner was so accommodating and friendly. I can’t recommend this place enough! I’m just sad that In 2 days we return to NY and won’t be able to taste this again until next year! Thank you for an amazing dinner!!!“

“Easter dinner from Taste of Maine. Being from Massachusetts I miss the seafood dishes immensely. Today, I had the best New England clam chowder!! Even though it’s gone, I can still taste its creaminess. The Haddock was plump and if so tasty. For die hard New Englanders, they carry full belly clams. Can’t wait to try them next.“

Vibrant Shore Brewing Company Brewery • $$

“Stopped in this place after I met one of their very enthusiastic employees. Passion is hard to fake, so I wanted to see what was there. The beer I had was called "The Future". Good beer, tasty AF. Didn't try the food; they have different food trucks that come over to feed folks. The setting looked terrific; outdoor and indoor seating, both dog friendly. Decor added so much to the experience.I'll definitely go again.“

“Tried this place for the first time on Sunday and I can’t rave enough about this food & place! I’ve been telling everyone about it and showing them the pictures of what I ordered, which really do not do this food justice. You gotta check it out for yourself and I can’t wait to go back and try the oxtails & mac n’ cheese. The owner will tell you that he’s better than other local Caribbean food restaurants and he is not wrong, food is pure fire. I gotta get their food truck schedule and get them to come to the OBX- they would sell out ridiculously quick and people would be making trips to VA Beach to their store.“

“A little diamond in the rough. So, on occasion I order from another stripmall seafood restaurant in my area. I won't go into much detail but I noticed the reviews took a nose dive lately-a new management thing. Chef Skip 757 was listed in Google reviews, very highly, as I searched for another take-out restaurant. It's off the main roads. I'll give it a try. My wife and I really enjoyed the food. The fries were a plus as they were "Ralley's" like. All good except- I dropped one star for the atmosphere because of the location.Maybe that's not fair but I really believe this restaurant could go to another level in a new location. Maybe get the location of that other place I alluded to earlier....ok, it has "K" in the name- that's all I'm giving you. There is a storefront next to the "International Market", a score of other restaurants failed there. I'm positive this one could have thrived there. It seemed the small strip mall did not provide lighted signs for Chef Skip. If you were driving by, you would not know this store is there. You would see an "open" sign and a very very dimly lit sign above. I felt comfortable. Having traveled a little, small haunts down in New Orleans and such, I know appearances don't tell the whole story. I will return.“
