“Love Lucky Oyster. It is a great spot for family dinner and Lucky Oyster actually gives back to the community. The manager is friendly, food and beverages are tasty, and service is excellent. I do have to say I miss my favorite server, Alexis.“
“I am currently inside this location having brunch. As with many restaurants they are playing music; however, any time an African American artist comes on the song is quickly changed. I preferred this location over the Shore Drive location, but after this I don’t see myself as a customer of this establishment. Good drinks, good food, good overall customer service but this incident has completely changed my perspective of this establishment.“
“First time for me and my wife. We've had a few tries but they are always busy. It is clear now why that is! Great experience all the way around! It's an intimate place with limited seating which is good. Instead of sports programming on the flat screens, they have ocean scenes playing continuously to create a relaxing vibe. The attention everyone gets is first class! The owner/chef is continuously in the dining area serving/visiting/checking on everyone to assure our experience is first class. The food is 5 star from appetizers to desserts. We had oyster appetizer, broiled seafood entree, and key lime dessert and it was all delicious! I also want to say that on a very few occasions that have always indicated how much the leadership of a fine dining restaurant wants their guests to feel a little fussed over, we have had the chef bring out a little something to taste before we even look at the menus. Charles brought us a little cheese and jam tasting that was just right! It's a little thing, but it speaks volumes of their commitment to your experience! Our whole experience was relaxing and fun!We will be back and we will recommend Blue to everyone!“
“Stopped here after spending time at Virginia Beach. Our waitress Faithlin was amazing. She checked on us without hovering. She crab soup was very creamy and flavorful. I got the crab cake blackened, and my husband got the fried shrimp. The shrimp was not heavily battered. Both were amazing. As an appetizer, we had the hushpuppies again, just amazing food. The sweet tea was freshly brewed, which made it even better. We sat outside with water views. You just can't go wrong here. They have a fush market and little gift shop as well. Everyone we encountered was super friendly.“
“This is one if my favorite places to dine. I have never given less than a 5* review before. I and my neighbor came for an early “dinner” today. Christmas Eve, because I was not sure what the dine in hours were today; website orig said 9 PM but when I called to double check, I was told last seating was at 6:30, so I was glad I called. We arrived around 2:30ish I guess. We were greeted promptly, and seated. It took quite a few minutes for the server (whose name I did not hear), to show up, which was a surprise because I only saw someone on the patio. She provided water, as requested and then took our order. but said that I really needed to have the “rewards” on my phone, for me to order the $25. entree I was interested in trying. I do not do anything on my phone except receive and make calls, and a few texts. I normally carry a print out in my purse, but had taken all the “paper” out the other night. There has to be another way to check what is left. I ordered a sweet tea, little ice and LEMON; the lemon was missing, as was the waitress. Finally she came to take our orders. One of the things I ordered was the loaded sweet potatoes, one of my favorites w/o the jalapeno peppers, and guess what was on the plate - yes the peppers, which would wind up in the trash. It was the first time my neighbor was in the restaurant and she ordered a Cesare Salad w/chicken. She was a tad unhappy w/the lack of dressing and asked to have a bit more, she also was not happy w/the burnt parts of the chicken, but we did not mention that, because I explained it was “grilled” so would have the marks, but she showed me parts of the pieces that were black (burnt). So instead of being “impressed”, she and I were both disappointed. The server never asked if I wanted a refill on the sweet tea... and I probably would have enjoyed some more.Parking: Never counted the parking spaces, not aware of handicap parking spaces, which would be nice. But I have been able to park w/in a very short walking distance. The curb does not appear to be wheelchair friendly. I don’t use a wc but some customers might.“
“Food was great! Got take-out, atmosphere and service can only comment on in passing. They were out of muscles, so person called me shortly after I placed online order. We substituted for oysters Rockefeller. I really wanted oysters to start, so good. Turned out that daughter that just wanted canned soup, loved the oysters. Wife loved the steak. I loved the she crab soup and what scraps I could get. Everybody was happy, and I am happy that everybody had some love of the local cuisine (as well as the beautiful sunset etc.) I'd drive back to give the cooks appreciation, but I have a full warm belly... hopefully this will reach them. This dinner really made/ capped off a nice evening.“
“I used to go to this place all the time when I was on active duty in the Navy. After I retired I do not go to Dam Neck regularly. I went here to meet up with friends from the navy on Veterans Day. It was nice eating here again and catching up with my friends. The food is good and prices are reasonable.“
“So unique, and for sure a staple in the community. It was described to me as iconic, and I could not agree more. The service was above excellent, the food was terrific, and the atmosphere was top tier. The outside patio is fantastic with their fire pits for cold and comfy nights. Thank you to for the amazing service.“
“A nice boutique Italian restaurant. They don't allow walk-ins and aren't on open table, so likely need to call directly for reservations. They let us seat anyway when we arrived early. The service is fantastic and excellent attention to detail. A nice wine list to compliment the meals. The prices are reasonable and portions are a reasonable serving. The food was a bit bland for my taste but a little seasoning at the table helped. The environment is intimate but not very warm and cozy, likely a byproduct of being in a strip mall environment. Worthy of another visit to try some new dishes, in this guests opinion.“
“Gave this a first time try after some good reviews. So glad I did! Tried the bang bang shrimp roll and it was absolutely delicious! Sauce, flavor, plenty of protein with a wonderfully toasted roll. Side of fries were hot fresh and crunchy! No problems parking. It did get busy but pick up or dine in time to wait didn’t seem bad at all! Side note no fountain drinks if you want something to drink you will have to buy a can or water bottle. Long time future customer though!“
“Just an all around lovely dining experience. Beautiful restaurant in gorgeous location. All dishes excellent. Great service. Bit pricy, but worth it. Definitely recommend. For some reason the most popular dish at the table was the fries! Very tasty and well prepared all around.“
“Zoe's is among the top 3 restaurants in Hampton Roads, and hands down the best steak house in Virginia. The staff treats everyone like family and the food constantly exceeds my imagination of what an amazing dinner can be. Every bite was ecstasy. Thank you for your extraordinary efforts in managing the smallest of details. Nothing went unnoticed.“
“Can’t say enough nice things about this place.I sat at the bar, and the bartender, Kat, was so attentive and gave me awesome recommendations.I had the pasta with dill cream sauce. I am not a huge fan of salmon, so I subbed blackened chicken. It was amazing! If you’ve never tried dill sauce I highly recommend it.I also had a blackberry bourbon smash drink. Not sure if that’s the name, but it was also fantasticIt seems like there is also a positive working environment there for the employees, which I think speaks volumes for the type of people who own this place. Great job!“
“My first time here, and everything was spot on. We had the empenada, hush puppies, curry mussels, ham and pimento biscuits, and short rib risotto, all were delicious. We had a hard time choosing because everything on the menu looked so good. Our server was friendly and attentive. Cool vibe inside. Will be back to try more food, including their oysters, which is their specialty. Reasonable prices too for an ocean front restaurant. Highly recommend.“
“They have a huge menu, almost too large. There are many varieties of burgers. The fries are extra if you want them. They are the standard shoestring fries. They also have several Italian choices such as lasagne, chicken Parmesan etc.I went for lunch and ordered a chicken salad sandwich and a cup of the vegetable beef soup. The sandwich was very good but I did not care for the soup. It was way too salty and had some strange spice in it that I could not identify. Another person who was with me also complained that the soup was too salty. She also a ordered a burger and said that it seemed like it was deep fried rather than grilled.“
“Epic seafood boil. Our entire group was excited and then thoroughly satisfied. Plenty of food for our group and Evan was an incredible chef! We had the best time and we would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun, unique, in home dinner service. It was 100% legit.“
“Great place for seafood!! Vallet parking on tips makes it a breeze to dine there. I enjoyed the stuff flounder with crab and it didn't disappoint! Eat if you can near the back so you can see the beach and people watch as beach goers walk along the walk.“
“This is the spot for delicious lobster rolls in Virginia Beach, especially during the off-season. Sure, it’s great any time of the year, but it’s perfect for locals to take-out or dine-in when the tourists are away as well! Soooo good! The CT lobster roll and the lobster mac-n-cheese are to die for (metaphorically speaking). It’s just that good! During our last visit, we sat outside with our pup. Did I mention how good the food is? It’s soooo good!Parking: There are garages and ample street parking during the off-season. Maybe consider take-out or deliver during the summer months if you don’t plan on parking and strolling the boardwalk afterwards.Kid-friendliness: The staff is friendly and they have kid friendly menu options.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and double door entrance. Seating inside and outside as well.“
“The food here deserves 10 stars! Thank you to fellow Yelp reviewers who led me to suggest my friends to go to El Borincano for dinner. While the restaurant only seats 12 people, the ambiance and aroma is so welcoming.I ordered the bBistec Encebollado - beef sautéed with onions with 2 sides that you can choose from: salad, white rice, yellow rice, tostones or sweet plantains. I got salad and yellow rice. The salad was so fresh served with no dressing however it goes well with the house sauce (akin to thousand island with mayo..?). Yellow rice is moist. My friends ordered Fried Pork Chop and conch salad. These were served in delicious well seasoned portions. Highly recommend this restaurant, easily my best Latin American restaurant. You will NOT be disappointed, guaranteed!“
“The entire experience was outstanding as a whole. The only small shortcoming was that I ordered my steak medium and it was medium well; there was barely any pink in the center. Our group was celebrating a 60th birthday and the experience was memorable for all the best reasons and attention to every detail. Our guest of honor and her husband had never been to a restaurant "this elegant", in her words. She ordered the ribeye and raved about the flavor. She was even impressed with the flavor of her asparagus and surprised at the small birthday decorations and cheesecake to finish. Thank You for a precious memory for friends of 40ish years. Sincerely, Andy Perry“
“I got the chicken wings, shrimp fried rice and side of hibachi noodles (forgot to take a picture). The wings I would not get again, they have a sweet taste in the flour which is probably really good on the chicken katsu with the curry. I wasn't expecting it. They were fried perfectly though. The fried rice is really good and look at those nice size shrimp!! ? definitely will be back to try other things on the menu, like their curry lol“
“We were skeptical with the simple menu options and hometown/local bar feel, but we were instantly proved wrong with the quality of our food. There is nothing wrong with a simple menu as long as it's done right and South Beach Grill delivered.FYI, this is a pub, for those bringing children. The menu is light on kid friendly options. Our waitress Tana was awesome and very responsive to our requests.“
“I wish I had a bigger stomach so I could eat more fish tacos! The food was phenomenal! Go on Tuesday for their amazing specials! The service was also amazing and felt like home. If you don’t know what to get or sauce to go with it, they will help guide you in the right direction! Amazing food, amazing price, and amazing service. Bring a jacket though it was very cold inside when we went!“
“It's a tradition for my husband and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Tautog's, and so we were here again last Friday night. We always enjoy eating here and this year the food and service were exceptional. We devoured our entrees like two starving kids!I recommend the baked flounder over goat cheese mashers with asparagus. I always share entrees with my husband, but this year I hesitated...this dish was that good!Sarah, our waitress, was warm, engaging, and a true professional. She made us feel as if we were dining at a favorite relative's home!Even though it was a cold, damp Friday night in February, Tautog's was packed. We'll be back before our next anniversary, and will make reservations next time, so we can book our favorite table in this charming restaurant. See you soon!“
“Love this place. Food is awesome, and the staff great. Waitresses don't hover over you during your meal and you don't get rushed out when you are done eating. Their chicken wrap is amazing and the prime dip is good tooParking: If the main lot is full, u can park behind the hotel that the restaurant is in front of.“
“Went here on a date with my wife tonight. Good atmosphere here. Food was great, my steak was cooked perfectly and my wife loved her fried chicken with that butter hot sauce they have. We did order a lemon drop and it was excellent. Not too sweet, not too strong. Our server was great! She was super polite and attentive. Great service! I’m excited to come back with friends soon.Great night and definitely recommend!“
“I live very close to this place so I visit often. The tacos are my favorite here and so are the drinks. If you’re looking for the best margaritas and wanna enjoy some yummy tacos, come here. Lots of parking spots and a 7-11 nearby I’d you need anything on the way “
“Perfect little spot for a nice date out. Got the sirloin steak that came with shrimp, scallops, mashed potatoes and swapped the broccoli out for asparagus... Everything was delicious! The steak cut like butter and the scallops were cooked to perfection!“
“This is truly great Mom and Pop Italian Food! Angelo is from Italy and owned a restaurant in NYC before settling in Virginia Beach. Everything on the menu is outstanding and full of flavor. Go grub out and tell Angelo,Alan the RV guy sent ya!“
“Stopped by without calling ahead for takeout. I was greeted by three different staff who were very friendly. The turnaround time was very short and the food was ready in a flash. The carne asado was flavorful and so were the burritos. Everything was packed well for the walk home. The portion sizes were good, more than enough. I will make this my new favorite in VB.“
“We went to Yiannis for our anniversary. Don't let the look of the outside where it fits in with the surrounding shopping center fool you. The ambiance was really nice and classy inside. We were greeted at the door where they held the door open for us. When we saw the inside, my initial doubts that I had chosen a classy enough place for the occasion melted away. I knew I did a good job picking the right place. The only negative I noticed what the tables were packed a little tight over near where we sat at the bar and you had to turn sideways and suck your gut in to squeeze past a table to get to the restrooms. Our waitress/bartender was great and very knowledgable about the specials and menu. We were given enough time and space to talk privately and not feel rushed while still having our needs attended to. The food was outstanding. My ribeye could have had a bit more flavor, but it was so tender and juicy and cooked to my specification. Everything else about the food and drink was great. After we finished eating, Yiannis stopped by the table and introduced himself and we talked about his home country, Greece, since I had been there before. While he was there he poured us a small glass of dessert wine to complete our meal. When we left, my wife and I agreed that picking Yiannis was a good choice and we plan to go back again.“
“This was my first time at the Virginia Beach location. I found it to be MUCH roomier than the Norfolk location. The food was beyond good. I had the Spotswood Melt burger. Normally, I would add several condiments to my burger. After taking a bite, it was perfect as-is!!!! Probably the BEST burger I have ever had. My wife got the meatloaf, which is not uncommon. She said it was the BEST meatloaf she ever had!!! My daughter always gets the French Onion soup. It is also the best around!! Our waitress was superb. Very friendly and witty!!!!“
“I came for lunch after an appointment. The customer service was great; the guy was really nice. I got the #2 on the special combination menu. It came with 6pc wings+2pc fish, a chose of any side, and a soda. It was filling, delicious, and worth the price.“
“This evening was our first visit to Oscar's. My husband and I were greeted by a pleasant and professional staff. All of the staff with which we had contact showed genuine interest in our satisfaction and enjoyment. Our booth had a wonderful view of the boardwalk and ocean. Our server, MacKenzie, was calm, knowledgeable, personable, and perfectly paced our dining experience. We had the Oscar Salad and the Beet Salad as appetizers. Our greens were truly fresh without iceberg fillers. The salad ingredients were tasty, but light and uplifted the greens. The dressings were excellent, and did not overwhelm the salads. Our entrees were the Salmon with Tarragon Creme sauce, and Fettucini Alfredo with Filet, and could not have been more perfect! They were well presented, perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and very savoury. I tried a new Shiraz, and found it surprisingly robust, complementing my entree rather well. We finished our meal with delicious vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate sauce. We both highly recommend Oscar's in all facets and are looking forward to our next visit. Wendy&Kevin Tuttle“
“Best neighborhood restaurant for over 25 years and counting. Easy parking, beautiful cocktail bar with lots of seating and great wine list at every price point. Excellent selections as well. Dining room is gorgeous with large tables. Bar area has high tops as well. The food is excellent!! Numerous salads to choose from and delicious varied appetizers as well. Entries are amazing, best known for their grilled salmon- yummmm! Must try the carrot cake in bourbon sauce for dessert, you will love it!“
“Kimchi excellent. Gimbap excellent. Mandu good. Banchan was warm and honestly most of them had an odd taste. The bibimbap was good. The japchae was bland. Facility clean and service was fast.Overall good food and experience, next time I will stick to appetizers with kimchi pancake and try a soup!“
“Came up from Elizabethtown North Carolina on February the 17th to celebrate my son's birthday the service was great and the food and drinks were very good Disappointed no oysters on the half shell no oysters Rockefeller no brussel sprouts no broccoli but it was a lovely experience and we will come “
“Holy bananas this place is great! Most amazing hush puppies I have ever had...and the staff at the hotel is so friendly! The bar is small, only two or three tables inside, and they aren't open all the time...but well worth the stop for the hush puppies alone! Great view of the beach, will definitely be back in the summer to sit outside. The chef even offered to whip me up some homemade honey butter, but the sauce they already had was fantastic! No frills, but super cute, amazing service and the best food!“
“Had an awesome experience here.Cute decor, ambiance and cleanliness. Employees were all helpful and checked to ensure we were satisfied with our meal multiple times.Ordered 2 Connecticut Rolls which had just the right amount of butter and a nice toasted exterior on the bun. The amount of meat in the roll is enough to adequately feed a grown adult but I wouldn’t say it’s in line with what’s advertised. I was a bit surprised when the rolls first came out but left satisfied with my meal.8.6/10 M&M“
“We've been coming here for the last 2 years to celebrate my nephews birthday, which happens to be Valentine's day because he loves boil bags. Our server was great, but the food on this visit not so much. The kitchen got my order wrong when I asked for no sausage and substitute for extra corn. When my bag came out, the ticket was correct, but they loaded my bag up with sausage and NO corn. So our server brought out corn (which I had to slouch around in the bag to sauce them and I had to pick out the million pieces of sausage. Some of the shrimps and snow crabs were not fresh because they were mushy and the meat was a different texture, almost as if they had been reheated before. This was disappointing for our family because 2 other people in our party had the same experience. With the rising cost of inflation I expect to get FRESH food if I'm having to pay $65 for food with an automatic 18% gratuity due to having a party of 6. We didn't even complain to the mamaner because the owners are not american and we didn't want to make a big deal out of things. Our server was great and understood our sentiments and discounted our tickets unbeknownst to us, until he said something. I think we'll choose a different place to go celebrate my nephew's birthday next year.“
“Step into this wonderfully charming restaurant, where cuteness meets amazingness! The food here is not just delicious; it comes with an excellent price tag that won't break the bank. Nestled by the beach, this spot offers more than just tasty treats; it's an experience with a fun and lively atmosphere. Make sure to elevate your visit with a must-try adventure into their crush drinks – a delightful addition to an already fantastic dining experience!“
“Visiting for a week and eaten here twice in three days! Delicious food. We had the Prime Rib special and the French Dip. Amazing!!!! Best sandwich I've ever eaten. Great prices too. Parking isn't great but so worth the trip.“
“one of the best places i’ve been to with seafood bags, it was $45 for an “everything” bag with lots of variety mostly shrimp and sausage though but those were my fav anyways, me and my boyfriend both ate on it and it was so good! i do wish it had more crab in that bag but you can always order more of what you want. i definitely recommend this place. the service was really good our server was attentive but not over attentive. will definitely be back again!“
“This place is soooo goood!!! We came in about an hour before they closed. So we got a little slower of service than normal. Food and drinks are amazing! Highly recommended! Go check out their new location on general booth!!!Vegetarian options: Have plenty of vegetarian options on the menu!!Parking: Not a whole lot of parking in the parking lot. But a huge lot next to it. Depending on the time of day/day you choose to go!Kid-friendliness: Good kid menu“
“Wow !! This restaurant is a hidden gem. It's so beautiful so modern the food is that of New York top-tier steakhouse. As soon as we walked in, we got greeted by beautiful smiles. My daughter even hugged one of the hostess cause she was so sweet. They got us a table right away. The appetizers were superb. The waitress Chloe was the sweetest and the best she was so on point with her knowledge of the menu and top-tier customer service. I had a lemon drop, which was delicious. My husband had an old-fashioned, which was perfection. We started off the artichoke dip 10 /10 my Husband had the skirt steak with rice, avocado, and chimichurri sauce, which was super flavorful I also had the tuna poke amazing! My dinner was the crabcakes with a side of a wedge salad delicious & so fresh! Overall, this is a perfect place to go with friends family or just on a date night. It even is child friendly we were there with our five-year-old daughter, and they gave her a page to color in with crayons. The ambience is very grown and sexy and beautiful. We sat in the bistro, but next time we will sit in the steakhouse in the back for a more formal vibe . My family and I highly recommend this steak house one of the best in the 757 ! Shout out to Tony the chef what a talent / amazing chef ! The whole staff should get a standing ovation !“
“I am "simply impressed" with the quality of food service and options that Simply Steamed provides. I have only used Simply Steamed for take out meals.I own a vacation home in Sandbridge and Simply Steamed is one of my go-to places for take out seafood. They offer a variety of seafood that is ready to serve and other steamed pot variety options that have seasonings and everything you need to cook at your beach house when you are ready. The steamed pots are great for large family gatherings. Ready to serve seafood entrees and appetizers are flavorful and cooked perfectly. You can use them as a meal or to round out your menu.In the shop, SS has great choices of wines to go with your dinner. The staff at Simply Steamed are friendly, helpful and give great guidance on selections and portions for your group. Desserts are available but they go quickly. If you are so inclined, SS offers a great selection of cigars to finish off the experience.I highly recommend Simply Steamed. We return regularly.“
“Great place for lunch. I say this only because I haven't been there for dinner yet. The food is great, the prices are reasonable and the staff is very attentive and friendly. Hands down the best Mexican restaurant we have been to in the area.“
“Me and my husband and son ordered dinner to take home and I was a little nervous about if I was gonna like it or not because my husband spent so much on it but O M G I'm shooketh! The best seafood I've had in years!!!! You will not be disappointed!!!!!“
“When on vacation, I always like to check out the local, family owned spots. This place is awesome! Stopped in for breakfast and couldn’t have left happier! Food, service, and atmosphere all great! Will definitely be back when in VA Beach again.“
“This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised! Portions were large, food was delicious and service was prompt, polite and attentive. My server was Alex and he was very nice. It was a nice atmosphere with good music playing at a reasonable level. I would definitely recommend Whiskey Kitchen to a friend and visit again myself.I had the bbq pulled pork sandwich.“
