“Being from New Mexico, while traveling I find myself savoring "Mexican" food and more often than not disappointed especially when I get to the East Coast. This was not the case. There for a small family gathering, they quickly seated our reserved table for seven. A variety of stock margaritas were all tasty accompanied by table side guacamole and crisp chips and salsa. Followed by a variety of dishes from chili rellenos to enchiladas that were all consistently tasty. So if you are searching for some east coast Mexican food, look no farther.“

“We travel over an hour from the Outer Banks to Las Palmas 3. We were leaving VA Beach and I looked up Mexican restaurants reviews and found this restaurant. It happen to be Cinco Mayo and have been coming here ever since. The moment you walk in the door you have a friendly upbeat hostess ready to seat you. From the moment you walk in it is clear these guys have there stuff together Work well with each other. They are happy, friendly upbeat and organized crew. The food has never disappointed me. Prices are perfect too. We enjoy driving out here because it's worth it and we visit often. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!“

Well decided to go hqve a drink and a bite to eat and it seems things have turned around. Service was great, food was pretty good and the Margarita was on point. Tjey have also remodeled the inside and it looks very nice. Will be back soon.“

“Oh man, if you want a place for good authentic Mexican flavors, you've found it! From the flavors, portions, to the exceptional customer service. Lets not forget the drinks are made 👌 🤪.. we had the molcajete, it says its for 1 person but there was no way ahha! My bf and I shared it.. it was a lot of food! That thing was stacked! We had a jumbo margarita super super heavy.... but got the job done.. needless to say, we required an extra day to get hungry again hahaha! Second time here and will return in thr future. I recommend the molcajete if you can't decide on a dish.. comes with a variety and can make tacos out of it as well..“

It is the absolute cutest place..When we tried it for the first time and Kara was our waitress/bartender.. she was absolutely amazing.. She had answers to all of my questions. She treated us like we were regulars and we had never been there. The drinks were delish! The food was perfect. I have had acp at every mexican restaurant ive ever been too and hands down it was the best here! Chix on the beach had been one of my go-to places when I run to the beach but now im adding Ocean's Ole. Would drive the almost three hours just to come here again. I am a sucker for good customer service and great food.“

“My husband and I frequent the location on the BLVD! We are always greeted with a smile and swift service. We see the same smiling faces every visit. Which is usually 2-3 times a week. The food is excellent!!! Cocktails are 🔥🔥🔥! Try the spicy margarita, u won’t regret it! Chips are homemade. Everything is so fresh. We’ve tried the Mexican pizza too which is to die for! There’s nothing we’ve tried that we don’t like! Being in the service industry for over 20 years, customer service is a big deal to me and this place is it! “This is without a doubt one of the best family Mexican restaurants in Virginia. I'm from the West Coast and lived on the best Mexican food available where the ladies made corn tortillas by hand in front of you. While no Mexican restaurant does that here on the East Coast, you won't believe how good the food is at the Shore Drive, Tequila Jalisco. (Don't waste your time going to the other Tequila Jalisco's as it all depends on the chief.) The best chilies relleno I've ever eaten and each one of their steak dishes are unbelievably tasty, or go for the fajitas or one of their big fat burritos and be sure to treat yourself to their home made guacamole with chunks of avocado, all with a well made margarita. It took me a long time to find a decent Mexican restaurant here in Virginia Beach, but I've now found a home with friendly servers and a warm atmosphere. Life can be so good...“

“This was a very cool place! We are vacationing in VB and are vegan so finding a restaurant that had so many options to make their regular menu items vegan was amazing. I had the vegan carne asade tacos and they were delicious. The chunky guac and house made chips were also great for everyone to share. Other members of my family got chicken tacos, taco salad, and cheese quesadilla, all made vegan for us and everyone was really happy with their food. The interior is fun and cool atmosphere here. Very surfside vibe like Southern California! We used to live in SoCal and know what great Mexican food is like…this was very authentic and very well done! Highly recommend this place.“

“This is some of the best Mexican Food I have ever eaten. The staff were friendly, and the owner went out of her way to accommodate my 6-year-old grandson's wishes on his birthday. Then, they brought him a big desert to share and sang Happy Birthday to him. I do not live in Va. Beach, but if I did, I would never go anywhere else for Mexican Food. “Two of us ate at Plazas Azteca on Holland Road a couple of weeks ago. Service was great and our waiter constantly checked on us to see if we needed anything. Especially love their white sauce that you get with chips as soon as you sit down. The food was delicious! We had Nachos Supreme for an appetizer. Then we both had Fajitas for our main course. Yummy! The only downfall was the margarita I had. It tasted very bland. Other than that we enjoyed our meals and will definitely be going back!“

Already over the duplicate menu options at most, we chose Cactus Jacks for something different. Very easy to park -lot in back with a door into restaurant. It’s very spacious, clean, enjoyable decor with TVs all over with games on. Huge full bar with tables too or sit in main dining area.“

“Our West Neck community celebrated Cinco de Mayo and we had a taco bar and fixings supplied by El Azteca for 65 people. Food was delicious and plentiful. Chewy, the manager, was so helpful and a pleasure to work with.
