“We made reservations(easily) for a 6:30 Anniversary dinner specifically on a Thursday night to take advantage of the "SPECIAL", 2 16oz king cut prime ribs W/roasted asparagus and potatoes au gratin casserole, a bottle of wine(our choices were shiraz or rose), and a dessert(our choices were KEY LIME PIE, CARROT CAKE, LEMON BLUEBERRY TIRAMISU, BROWNIE SUNDAY, or RED VELVET CAKE)........all for $70! After dinner, my wife and I spoke with GM Korey Johnson and got a tour of the facilities where we were further impressed with the cigar lounge and the VIP room. “My family and I were in town and stopped in for lunch. We started out with the dirty fries. My son had the Dirty Chick, and my wife and I both went with wings. She had the Cajun Buffalo sauce, and I had the Maui Wowie sauce. We enjoyed our food, but honestly, there really were no wow factors. The wings were somewhat dry and lacked sauce. Our waitress did keep our drinks full, which is always a plus.“

While we always tip and understand why it’s important, having it forced onto the check felt off-putting—especially since we were literally the only ones in the restaurant for lunch. On top of that, it ended up being the most expensive meal of our trip. The quality of the food was solid, but the pricing and the forced gratuity made the overall experience less enjoyable than it could have been.“

Today is national wings day so Applebee’s had an online special for BOGO wings, good deal! I ordered garlic Parmesan and hot glazed wings, both with ranch dip.
The wings were delicious. Parmesan was grated fresh, both orders came with a few celery sticks.“
