“It’s not your typical seat an be served cafe/restaurant. They have a delightful counter staff that will take your order the kitchen staff will make it an usually one of them brings it to your table that they give you a number for an then you are responsible for picking up and separating your waste from recycling down to your trash in the appropriate buckets. I have been frequently showing up at this cafe since I found it and I must admit it is a great spot, minutes from Walpole NH and other fun local towns! Grab a bite!! Explore!“

“Finally stopped for breakfast, a very pleasant surprise. Very good food, service and atmosphere. Substantial portions and creative specials. The only flaw was no low fat milk. We will definitely go back.Dietary restrictions: No low fat milk available.“

“If you're from the area you know how limited the options are in the immediate area of Walpole NH and Bellows Falls VT. I would put The Hungry Diner in at least the top 5 greatest places to eat in the area. Don't let the name fool you, because when I think diner this place offers almost zero similarities to anything I would conjure in my mind relating to a "diner". What makes this excellent? The food is consistently great. The service is consistently great. And what more could one really hope for from a good restaurant? It's clean and inviting. Has everything from a great list of local craft brews on tap to the one of the best milkshakes I've had in the area (Sorry Walpole Creamery and Dari Joy). The prices may not be the friendliest if you are on a tight budget, but man is the food just consistently great! Price point would be the only real criticism I could give, but being in business myself I know you can't get both cheap and high quality at the same time. This place remains one of our top places to eat in the area, with the other being just across the river at Wunderbar in Bellows Falls. So, if you haven't tried either of these places you don't know what your missing out on. We would consider ourselves "foodies", I say this only to provide a point of reference for our tastes. Haven't had bad food there yet. Hope this helps!“
“This deli was so good!! if you're in the area and want to grab something quickly this is the place to go. You can take food to go or you can sit down. They have ample seating, where you order upfront, and then sit on your own. The food was delicious and you can tell it was all fresh and from good sources. The service was super friendly and kind“

“Leslie herself and I assume her husband the cook greeted us, which really set the tone for what was a very warm and welcoming dinner. The food was awesome, the atmosphere was so cozy and warm, and the service was everything you needed and more. Both Leslie and their chef chatted with us briefly and shared some stories about killington which was the mountain my friend and I were on our way to see.I will definitely stop her again on my way through the area and will recommend it to everyone.“

“My boyfriend and I went here for our date night and were very happy we did! Lacey, I believe was her name, was our server and she was so nice, attentive and so pleasant! She made us feel at home and being a vegetarian, I was so happy that they had an awesome veggie burger!“

“The food here is excellent, and the appetizer and finished with dessert. Unfortunately, it was extremely loud in the restaurant. We got the spill over from the bar in the front of the restaurant. People were yelling across the bar, and it was very distracting. We started out with basic cocktails. They were made correctly, not too strong, not too weak. We ordered the chicken pesto pizza for a starter. Please don't miss this when you place your order. It's wonderful My friend got scallops, and I ordered the chicken special. They were both outstanding. I ordered the creme Brule for dessert. Hands down the best one I have ever had, and such a generous portion. Despite the loud and crazy atmosphere, I will still continue to go. The food outweighs the foolishness.“

“My favorite place to eat in the area hands down. Every plate is filled with flavor and the rotating seasonal menu is always exciting. Tons of options for vegetarian/vegan and gluten free. Celiac friendly, fun mocktails- we are huge fans!!Dietary restrictions: Their fryer is gluten free and they are very knowledgeable of celiac and contamination. Gluten free clementine cake is a dream come true!!“
