Very cute and very cozy. Small seating area. Ran by the local AA chapter. Not what we were expecting but the gentleman running the counter was very sweet and very welcoming. Not exactly how I planned to spend my 21st birthday morning but very pleasantly surprised.

I walked in here in September 1982 thinking my shattered life of 15 years was over. Hazel who ran the cafe, a gruff but loving lady made me sit down and have a sandwich and milk. For the next 5 years they raised me, an irritating punk, showing love and understanding beyond measure, mentoring me in the life of recovery and spritual principles of AA until my fledgling wings let me fly on my own to other places of recovery and respite from the storms of life. It's barely changed, has great coffee now and much more food! A meeting is available nearly every hour in such variety and different people your sure to find your place in what will always be my true home! God bless you and thank you Hilltop, with all my heart ♥

This is a wonderful place to go and spend time. The cafe has great food, there are meetings almost every hour all week long, and the members area has a fireplace with comfortable chairs. It is a relaxing place to spend time even when you aren’t going to a meeting.

This is not your typical restaurant. It is a small kitchen located in the Alano Club, a Member only Sober Club/AA Meetings. Don't come in here expecting space or glamour. You walk up to the counter, order your food, sit at one of the 6 tables and enjoy. We ordered the French Toast w/ hashbrowns and sausage and the French Dip w/ potato salad. Everything was fresh, homecooked, goodness. It is cheap, no frills, good food. If you don't like the environment, order your food Togo!

A simple home cooked meal with very nice people that work there as well as their customers. This is a no frills café located in an older home, turned into a café, very quiet and quick. Very affordable with great coffee too. We had the 2 egg and bacon breakfast sandwich and French toast. Was very good, just like home.

It was the worst experience in terms of breakfast. I found this place accidentally, saw the reviews were really good and decided to come even though the place was super simple. I ordered my breakfast with 2 eggs, ham steak, potato and toast and sat at the table waiting for food. Server later came to me and told that they didn't have any more ham and have only half a piece. Offered to substitute rest of the half with sausage patty, I agreed. Then he brought me food without patty and wanted to walk away. Only when I asked where is the patty he said they also ran out of it. I asked, where is my potato and toast and it appears he forgot to order for it in kitchen. By the moment they brought it I already finished eggs and ham. Potato appears to be tasteless so I decided to not even finish it. As a compensation for this mess that gave me $2 back and added mushrooms to my food when I asked. All in all, price for this breakfast was $12 + tip. For this money you can have much better food in a simple place. Will not recommend to anyone.

Went to have breakfast at Aces over the weekend and the food was great. I'd give a 10/10 on the fluffy pancakes. If you're looking for a traditional breakfast this is the place to go. However, the ambiance isn't the greatest. Part of the place is closed off for club members only (which I think are reserved to people who are members of AA meetings) and the place to sit for non-club members is very small. About 4/5 tables. It's in a small little cottage/house which is really cute. Cafe has a lot to improve on renovation and cleanliness wise, I got a little queasy from the dirtiness look of the place. But the food was pretty good. If you're looking for a place just SOLELY for good food Aces is the place-not so much if you're looking to enjoy your surroundings. Overall, great place with friendly staff.

This place is used by the members of alcoholics anonymous next door. While it's technically public feels more like a private space. The seating area is split into members only and public. Public has 4 tables.
