“After trying so many Asian restaurants in Vancouver and being disappointed by the lack of flavor and quality, we finally found a little gem in Ichi Teriyaki 19! The prices are pretty steep, but the food is fantastic. It tastes authentic and lacks the MSG-packed overly processed flavor of other subpar restaurants. The staff is friendly, especially towards kids, and we will definitely be returning. No complaints except for the price hike.“
“This is our favorite sushi place in Camas. We took a break for a while to give a new place a try, especially due to the other place having lower prices. However, the quality could not stand up to Mio. When I say quality, I mean both the food and the service. Mio has the friendliest staff in the area. We visited again on Saturday and from the first bite were reminded why it’s absolutely worth the higher price. We won’t stray again.Parking: Parking is pretty tight here.“
“Such a great place for local sushi. They have a reasonable selection of rolls, fresh fish, fresh rice, and a kind hostess. This is a place I treat my family when we're all desperate for salmon nigiri. I recommend trying one of their house special rolls if you want something fried, something decadent, or something a little out there (King Kong roll).“
“I was pleasantly surprised by this place after trying many other sushi spots in East Vancouver. They had a good assortment of rolls, nigiri, and a small list of cooked items. What we had was very good quality at a reasonable price. My wife had the lunch special with 2 rolls, salad, and soup. I had a sushi combo. The soup was perfect with noticeable kombu flavor. The cucumber salad was tasty. Sushi and the rolls were well made and the fish was good though not the highest quality. (But good quality, still).Service was prompt and efficient.Go here if you crave sushi and don't want to break the budget.“
“The guy behind the counter forgot to pack my rice in the to-go bag the other day and ran out into the parking to flag me down to give it to me. I feel like a lot of places today wouldn’t even bother. The service is great and the food is quite good. I’ve never had a bad experience from this restaurant.“
“A small cozy place with great Ramen! So far I've only had their Ramen for a quick lunch, and I like it. Their Ramen is better than some of these Teriyaki places and probably at the same level as other Japanese restaurants I've been to.Will come back and try their other stuff.“
“Every time I am in town I make sure to get sushi at Siam Sushi in Troutdale. The Sashimi / Sushi combo is fresh and fabulous. The Fresh Rolls are bountiful and the peanut sauce is to die for. My husband swears by the Pad Thai. Try it, you'll like it!“
“Ok , skeptical about another teriyaki place going in.... This place is so much better then Ichi. Food is fresh with amazing flavor, lots of options for vegetarians, clean environment and amazing service . Jia is super friendly and very customer oriented, does not hesitate to answer any and all questions in a friendly manner. Love this place will be a regular. Glad Jia and her sister picked Washougal for a place to open business.“
“First time here. The miso soup was . I ate 2 misos, 8 pieces of California rolls?, the Mexican rolls were 4/5 because the sauce was just a bit too sweet for my taste but still really good. The place was very clean but understaffed this day. There were only 2 servers and it was a bit slow with the food coming out but it was understandable. My two kids liked their food too. The prices were reasonable too. Here's a picture ?. This is my new go to place from now on.“
“UPDATE EDIT: March 2024I would give 11/10Been a while since we’ve been here but we already knew it would be worth coming back!!The rainbow roll I got was even better than I was expecting. Perfect for me I love their roles and didn’t realize I had missed them so much.Only took one picture because I was too busy enjoying the meal.Hard to choose what to try because I know everything will be good.Spendy but worth it. Service was great, fast and I loved the ‘08 songs they had playing.Takoyaki was really good, first time ever trying.Older: August 2022Staff is very friendly and attentive. We got 2 bowls of ramen, gyoza, and 2 different rolls. The rolls in my opinion are silly big. I'm not sure why they make them so large because sometimes it's hard to eat, and it falls apart. I wish the cuts of fish for the rolls were a little larger. The proportion just seems a little off. The ramen on the other hand is hands down the best around. Broth so flavorful and all around filling. The gyoza was light and crispy. Not like any I've had and quickly eaten up.I don't come here often and we only stopped by for the ramen today, but this is definitly a spot to try out for yourself. It's clean, beautiful decor, on the higher side price wise but a pleasant dining experience.Super clean and nice inside. Their plates for sushi and bowls for soup are really cute and not cheap looking at all. They remodeled recently and just looks really good. Definitly on the spendy side but worth every penny. Sushi is really good, large rolls.“
“Love this place! The sushi offers pretty generous portions of fish. So far, its the best sushi we've found in the area. All the options are delicious and taste fresh. The salmon melts in your mouth. Our favorite is the TNT roll; it comes piled real high with crab and tuna.Decided to write this review when I ordered from the Powell location online and was called within a few minutes of placing my order by the other location. They apologized and said that the Powell location was doing a catered event and wasn't able to do any takeout that night, but they would make my order and deliver it to my door for free. They worked as fast as they could and got it to my front door at the same time it was originally supposed to be ready, even though the delivery person had to drive all the way across the city. Their customer service was absolutely great! Also, the sushi was soooo good!Just really appreciate these guys. Definitely our go-to sushi spot in town. Also, if you haven't been in the market that this store is located within, it's worth a look. They have everything there, and you'll for sure end up walking out with something!“
“Filling portions of deliciousness! Hubby & I both ordered the regular teriyaki chicken, & potstickers. OMG!!! Excellent. The teriyaki sauce is absolutely fabulous. We will definitely return to this family owned, small business. YUMMY!!!“
“The food here is ALWAYS amazing. It's fresh, fast and beyond compare with prices that are reasonable. Highly recommend it if you are a sushi fan. Not a romantic getaway but I go out to eat and to me the food is more important than the atmosphere.“
“I've lived in Gresham for a while but finally decided to check out this place on a whim...and am so glad I did! They have a large variety on their menu that my boyfriend and I have been enjoying working through, like beef short rib, yakisoba, sushi, & sakudogs. Lately our favorite go to has been their soy garlic Korean fried chicken. The flavor is awesome and texture is nice and crunchy. The inside of the place is small so it's a great spot for to-go or nice for a quick dinner before grabbing groceries.“
“Honestly, not a huge teriyaki fan, but husband won the pick today.Nice sized menu. A large amount of choices for the non meat eater, or if you prefer seafood.Lunch specials.Great seating/dining.Staff was friendly and the food was delicious!“
“FAIRLY GOOD FOODStopped by here after a water polo game to have supper with my daughter. The karaage salad was good, but the chicken is garden variety popcorn chicken. It does not taste like it’s been marinated in soy sake and does not have the proper karaage fry.The agedashi tofu was perfect!“
“This place has the best momos! We became big fans of momos after living in NYC but we were having hard time finding good place in Portland. We are so happy to have found this place :) The food is amazing, and the owner is very nice and welcoming.Kid-friendliness: The owner is very baby friendly.“
“The very best Ichi Teriyaki I've ever been in. I thought they would all be pretty much the same but, not true, Washougal Ichi Teriyaki is Soooo much better than any other. You can tell management takes pride in the restaurant from their food to the cleanliness and atmosphere. Very welcoming and friendly too.“
“This is our favorite Ichi location in Vancouver. We usually call in a to-go order, which is convenient, and the service is prompt. The portions are worth the price and taste authentic.Pictured below is my favorite, spicy chicken breast teriyaki with onions, red bell peppers, mushrooms, and green onions. The entree is also served with plenty of steamed white rice, a side of teriyaki sauce, and a salad with signature dressing. You can request chili sauce on the side as well. This location is part of the Heritage shopping center, always has parking, and helpful staff.“
“First time here and we had kong pao chicken and chicken yakisoba at food court and ordered bibimbop to go. Kong Pao chicken is spicy but it's really good. Foods are huge portion and flavorful. Staffs are friendly. I'll definitely come back again.“
“One of the best Bibimbap bowls I have had in a while. Big, generous portion, excellent gojuchang and delicious veggies. The egg was even cooked perfectly. Ordering lunch from here made my workday better, and that's pretty hard to say sometimes! Definitely worth a try.“
“My family has been bringing home KC Teriyaki for years and when I suggested a place to eat, my Mom and sister told me that this is where they got the delicious food (we all love the Teriyaki Chicken and their soup and the dressing on the salad is amazing). As this was my first time, I was surprised at how big their menu was. Because it was cold and we haven’t been out anywhere since the snow came, besides the teriyaki chicken and soup, we added gyozas, Mongolian Beef, and also got some tempura shrimp. All of it was steamy warm, fresh and delicious. The staff was awesome and checked back to see if we were good (absolutely!) and if we needed anything. The restaurant is very clean, and from now on, I will actually go instead of waiting for my family to bring back the food- there is so much on the menu that I have yet to try.“
“The experience was outstanding, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and exceptional customer service. The young man working at the front desk was very courteous and provided excellent service when I picked up my food. He deserves recognition for his efforts.“
“I don't really like visiting here because of neighbor hood . Located near Homeless Camps and allot of Apartments . So people have easy access . I have seen fights there , car wrecks , drug deals , dogs get hit by cars . Tents across the street . Bad location for friendly nice people . I think the food is not really cooked properly and the drinks taste not so good . The workers or owners are not so helpful.“
“I’ve been looking for somewhere with chicken udon forever. The old place I used to get it at stoped serving it. No where serves it and most of the time don’t even know what I’m talking about. But I found it here and decided to try it. It was so delicious just like the other place I used to get it from. Just want I needed. Definitely will be coming again.“
“I ordered the Beef Short Rib & Gyoza with a side of Cold Mac Salad and it was delicious. They made it pretty quickly as I only waited maybe 6 or 7 mins. Also the restaurant offers Egg Drop Soup compliments of the house. There are many tables and lots of space inside as well as benches outside for outdoor seating. As I was dining in I noticed about 5 customers had come through in the 40 minutes I was there. This was around noon so I'd say business is pretty fair.Parking: This restaurant sits on a block of nearby shops & eatery. Plenty of parking everywhere.“
“FRESH SUSHI! This was great, I love the conveyor belt, it was awesome to just grab a plate and eat up, while watching the sushi chef make it right in front of you. Not much for atmosphere or service but I wouldn't think you would come here for either. It's a great way to get a quick delicious dinner at a great price. Will definitely be back!“
“The owner welcomed us before we were even at her cart. We had never been there before nor have we had a sushi burrito before. She was so helpful in recommending menu items and the food was ready fresh in 10 minutes! The food was so fresh and delicious and very filling. The calamari skewers were so flavorful. We will definitely be back!“
“Really surprised to see such low ratings and such few recent reviews which are actually relevant. This is my household's go-to spot for sushi. We come from Orchards for it. We know and love sushi; some might even call us sushi snobs. We descend as a household unit upon this place, and we do not come to play. Fact is, we eat like hogs here. This is damn good sushi, folks! The service is fast and pleasant. The sushi is always fresh. Years ago, this was a conveyor belt-style joint; it hasn't been that way for a long time now. I am knocking off one star only for decor as the place could use a refresh; however, it's all very clean every time we go. This place deserves better than these old, stale reviews. Give 'em a try next time you're way out east. You won't be disappointed.“
“Might not be spruced up on the inside but don't let it fool you - best teriyaki place in the Camas area. Hands down. Chicken is perfectly marinated, grilled, and arrives juicy and perfectly seasoned. Gyoza are outstanding. Love this joint. Tip: always ask for extra sauce. Always better to portion out on your own!“
“Where Taste Buds Do a Happy Dance!Visiting Joy Teriyaki is like being on a first-name basis with Flavor Town. Their teriyaki chicken is so good, it'll make your taste buds think they've won the flavor lottery! The staff is so friendly, I half-expected to be invited to their family reunion. Bottom line: If you're in Gresham and don't stop by Joy Teriyaki, your taste buds may never forgive you. No pressure, though!“
“i don't like the music here, but everything else is sweet. it's not fancy, but the food is lovely and the gyoza is SO nice and crispy. the egg drop soup gives me that good nostalgia. i appreciate it here. and the drink selection in the little fridges is soooo good!! service is sweet.“
“Great beef teriyaki straight up!It's a little on the spendy side but hey, what isn't anymore?Atmosphere? Adequate for it's location. Plenty of tables to sit at. Very little chit chat with the staff so you can get right down to the business of eating. Buss your own table and push your chair back in and all will be well!“
“Saw this place when looking for some dinner options and decided to stop by. It was extremely busy when I went on Friday night, so I booked a last-minute reservation for 6:30pm. Walked in at that time and was promptly seated. I highly recommend making a reservation Fri-Sun to avoid excessive wait times. The food itself was actually very good. The sushi was delicious, as was the teriyaki chicken, and everything in between. My only regret is I didn't get ramen... next time! ?“
“Absolutely amazing, genuinely some of the best sushi I've ever had with great service. Came down to Camas to hang out with some friends and decided to grab sushi on my last day since it looked like a solid eatery in a great location. Walked inside and was greeted by a very comforting atmosphere and welcoming staff. Had a good chat while the roll was being made and was extremely pleased with the quality. Everything is made to order and tasted super fresh. When I finished eating and they went to swipe my card, it wouldn't go through (something about my international card and authorization issues with the bank) and they offered to cover my meal. Luckily there was an ATM nearby so it didn't come to that and I was able to run out and grab some cash, but the kindness I was shown inside of that restaurant paired with the affordability and quality of the food, is definitely worth 5 ⭐s in my book. Next time I'm around I'm definitely returning.“
