“What can I say? I was a customer first & foremost, and occasionally you'll find me behind the bar! The vibe, IMHO, is unpretentious. On any given day you'll see someone grubbed up in work clothes, some in their office clothes, some dressed for a night on the town, and anywhere in between. You can bring in your food - AND your dog (make sure to get their pic taken for the 'Woof Wall'!); play cornhole or other board, card, or pub games; listen to or dance along with live music; play trivia (Thursdays); watch 'the game' on any of the 3 TV's; etc... There is a selection of beer & cider on tap, more ciders, seltzers, soda, and beer in cans, and even quite a selection of wines to choose from - either by glass or by bottle. A couple times a month there'll be special events: wine tastings, crafting events, night markets, etc. You can sit in the sun (or inside away from it!), watch the sunset, and even catch a glimpse of water-life! It's a place my friends & I frequent, and it's a place I would tell you to bring your friends also! It may not be "CHEERS" - we may not know everyone's name - but Hal & Ronda and the Haase brood (and myself!) will do our best to make your visit a good one!!“
“so many beer selections, in addition to 40 beers on tap and also a great selection of ciders.. This is a beer lovers paradice. super friendly staff who know their beers and can make pinpoint suggestions to your tastes. Honest prices and had decent seating. Growlers can be filled here too!“
“We had a date night here and were absolutely impressed. The Beecher’s grilled cheese and butternut squash soup was a stand out. Both of our pasta entrees were phenomenal as well. The star of the show, though, was our dessert, which was a deconstructed PB&J. I don’t think I’ve ever had something that had such a wide variety of complementary textures. It was amazing and flavorful.“
“This is a nice quiet spot. Large area to sit in air-conditio on at 80 degree day with 3 TVs watching the Mariners on 4th of July! There are small tables outside also to view the bay as well. The best part of all this was the very professional and pleasant lady at the counter. She handled the long line and all the people all by herself! Nothing was really open after 2pm here. She deserves a raise! We loved our lager and cider. We also was able to bring in our food from "the trolley" next door. Both experiences from each establishment, great!Come visit a local!“
“Great atmosphere. Great staff. Great brews. Nice covered heated patio where you can enjoy a tasty brew with your dogs:) Good snacks but no food (only “downfall” really). I HIGHLY recommend this place for a great atmosphere to enjoy a tasty beer or glass of wine. Best bar in Gig Harbor in my opinion!“
“Pizza was very good! Came in with my family and everyone loved the food. I got the pepperoni mushroom calzone which was one of the best calzones I had. They did bring the pizza out on some plastic serving plates that had a slight smell of cleaning solution. It wasn’t bad but not pleasant as well. We put the pizzas on ceramic plates and smell went away. We would go again possible ask if the pizza can be placed in a to-go box to avoid the smell.“
“my husband and I will go there about few times a year. this was my father in laws favorite place to eat every Wednesday with his brother for many yrs. Yesterday(July 21st) we ate there at approximately 7pm. very nice waiter we had. my husband ordered a Chicken Fried Steak breakfast. he indicated that that meat was very tough and rubbery. I tasted it and totally agreed with him. but that won't stop us from going there again. we did show up on July 16th(Sunday). had no idea you closed up so early(it was about 6pm)“
“We ate here tonight for the first time and we loved it. We got a pretzel appetizer, it was huge and fed 5 of us. Our food got there pretty quickly after we finished the pretzel. I got the bbq burger, I was just in the mood for a burger. It was the best burger I had had in a really long time. We came with 4 kids in tow, and sometimes that gets looks and attitudes, but we got great service!“
“The new owner Sarah uses the highest quality ingredients for her community that was shared by her and her employees. The salad dressing and all sauces are made fresh and very tasty. Portions are great, services from the staff is so inviting and friendly with care. Atmosphere is upbeat as everyone there has smiles on their faces with bright greetings. Perks for clean restroom!!! ? Price is very reasonable for the quality and portion size!!! When you do go, you’ll definitely will be returning as you’ll crave the taste of their food!No place brings people together like Kinja Teriyaki!!! Thank you for your wonderful services and delicious food!!! ??❤️??“
“I visited on a Friday for lunch. They have al pastor, carnitas, mole, fajita style and more. I had the carnitas and they were crispy and delicious. The tortillas, chips, salsas, all the food is fresh, the people warm and the place is relaxed. They have a small bar that has a great selection of tequilas and other drinks I look forward to trying another day.“
“Moctezuma’s Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar is a small family-owned Washington restaurant chain with 4 locations. Arturo Garcia opened the first restaurant in Tacoma in 1978. He opened the second restaurant in Gig Harbor, which is the one my parents introduced me to, and that I have dined at over the years. The other two locations are Tukwila and Silverdale. The restaurants are now jointly owned by Arturo, his son Bernie Garcia, and Bernie’s mother and sister, Magdalena Garcia and Maribel Arias. Bernie Garcia took over as president in 2005. This business has won a number of awards over the years. Moctezuma’s is a favorite for both locals and visitors. My parents retired to Fox Island, Washington, in 1990. Fox Island is next to Gig Harbor. Montezuma’s was one of my mother‘s favorite restaurants. I visited with her many times over the years. Now that she’s gone, I don’t go as often, but only because I’m busy exploring new restaurants. The current Gig Harbor restaurant is in a different location than the original. It’s also much bigger and much nicer. These are pictures from my last visit. I’m always warmly greeted. I love their complementary basket of fresh chips and salsa. The salsa is some of the best I’ve ever had. I ordered a Combination plate with a Cheese Enchilada, Chile Rellano and Taco Dorado. Served steaming hot, I loved everything, except for the Chile Relleno, which is a house specialty. For dessert, I ordered Flan. I prefer flan with a more delicate texture, but it was exactly like the one served at the original location, so I assume it’s a family recipe. It’s pretty good. All in all, I had a very enjoyable meal.“
“Such a fun place! Ciders were AMAZING! Had an awesome outdoor seating area with a ton of games to play, loved the atmosphere, people had kids and dogs which was super fun. Loved the giant connect four game and our server Kiara was so kind. Thank you for having us!“
