“I have to prelude this review by saying I am a breakfast snob. I have rarely (maybe one other time) thought to myself after having breakfast at a restaurant "wow that was amazing, I couldn't have done it better" but I make some pretty amazing breakfasts. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! There was a huge line when we got there but it was so worth the wait. We had the blueberry pancakes which come with 2 eggs and bacon and the chicken fried steak which comes with your choice of sausage or chorizo gravy, 2 eggs, hashbrowns and toast. The food was so good we could stop eating and the waitress and host were so so nice. Stopping there really made our day! *didn't have the chance to get a pic of the chicken fried steak before we dug in lolVegetarian options: Pancakes and veggie omeletsKid-friendliness: Able to seat a large party with notice or a wait and great kids menu optionsWheelchair accessibility: Ramp leading into restaurant with no other stairs inside“
“This is one of my favorite places to go in Tacoma. The food is awesome, the music is cool, the atmosphere reminds me of my younger years of frequenting goth clubs, and they have pinball and skee ball, and a couch to sit on. If I had to say anything negative, it's that parking can be challenging, but that's just 56th street in Tacoma and nothing the Church Cantina can help. Great place to be on a Saturday night.“
“We came here for a late lunch after doing an escape room. The food was really good! Two of us are vegan, one is vegetarian, and the other two are omni. Most of us ate vegan/vegetarian and really enjoyed our meals! The server was fantastic and our meals were really affordable (most of us spent $25 total). It is a dive bar, so the noise level was expected (it's hard to hear and you have to shout). It was also really dark in there. But nothing that would keep us from coming back! I highly recommend the vegan nachos! They were amazing.“
“My wife and I enjoyed a delightful evening at El Gaucho Tacoma as we celebrated our 39th anniversary. Shelly provided impeccable service and the food was marvelous! We particularly liked the special recognition on the personalized menu and card on the table. Thank you for making our visit a wonderful experience.“
“Great relaxed atmosphere. I love the design of this place. Open windows in the summer, snug in the winter.Food menu changes, but usually something interesting to try. Most things are a hit, but a few misses in there as well.Wheelchair accessibility: Full access“
“Fantastic dinner here. The food was great. The cocktail menu looked amazing but I couldn’t indulge when I went. Server was very attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was lively without being hectic. Terrific place for a great dinner.“
“Came into Bar Rosa with my husband tonight! FULL house! Our food and cocktails were incredible as always! Our servers were amazing! Very friendlyAnd accommodating. However there was this rude lady sitting with her family across from us complaining about the conversation of another table and how loud they were being. But honestly I didn't think they were being loud or obnoxious at all! This lady was being a total Karen. Scolded our servers as if they could control what the table talked about. They offered to move their table. Mind you the place is full and they refused. The lady tried to ask me if I thought they were being loud and I told her not at all. She gave me a rude glare for the rest of their time there. You could tell her husband was embarrassed by her shenanigans. The staff handled it very well!Best pizza and service in Tacoma! We will be back !“
“I just experienced the Pub Crawl event over the St Patrick's Day weekend! It was an amazing time! This bar is already an amazing place to come, unwind, have some good fun, drink, drink and drink more and it's always a place to meet people and have great conversations! And the fact that they participate in events like Pub Crawl show that they are on the cutting edge and care about us... Me and y'all... Their customers! I highly recommend this bar for great food, drinks, social interaction and great people to conversate with!!!! Check it out ASAP!!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!Parking: Plenty of parking real estate around this pub!Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheelchair access.“
“Dorky’s is such a fun vintage arcade! We will visit this downtown Tacoma location on the occasional weekend night for some drinks and arcade games. We did have to present ID for 21 and over this night, but I know they allow minors during normal business hours. They serve a variety of beer, cider, and seltzers at the counter for a low price and they have ATMs and coin machines on site. I highly recommend trying out this great local location!“
“Since I’ve been to this dive bar several times over the last few months, it has easily been one of my favorite bars in Tacoma. The atmosphere has been cozy and usually allows conversations to flow with the person next to you without having to shout at each other to hear. I’ve never been disappointed with the food and drinks either, the new menu face-lift has more options than before, with the fried cheese curds, the Korean pork belly tacos, and the hot honey lemon pepper wings being my personal favorites. The staff and the owners are talented and genuine people, with Drew and Cody working wonders behind the bar while Deven is usually cooking up something great. Every once in a while, there’s live music or karaoke which have been fun to attend to. When the weather is nice, the outside patio situation has been great to mingle but on rainy days we like to hangout and play pool. Overall, I really enjoy my time here and try to recommend it when I can!Parking: More parking behind the bar.“
“Awesome bar, very chill atmosphere, friendly bartenders, and a huge selection of beer. I've been a regular there for some time now and it's always great to stop in for a pint. They've recently started doing bingo nights every other week, which has been a ton of fun.“
“This place has the best clam chowder I have ever had in my life! The lobster roll and the big will sandwiches were also amazing and the bread was so soft. Kind of had a sketchy crowd but didn't really mind that. 100% will be coming back!“
“The caprese was delicious. The blistered cherry tomatoes, pesto and burrata were a magical combination, beautifully executed. The halibut special was a wonderful combination of bright rich flavors and still managed to be light. Prosciutto wrapped grilled asparagus - just yes.The halibut was just a trifle overcooked, but I'm rounding up from 4.5 stars.Friendly, capable service that was distributed amongst the crew because of a built-in 20% service charge policy, which usually leads to competent but not exceptional service.“
“This place never ceases to amaze me. With the best little neighborhood vibe, the experience takes you to a whole different atmosphere, which changes with each visit. You will never be disappointed with anything this place has to offer. This place is a hidden gem, hidden in plain sight for an enjoyment your bound remember. You will always go back, only because they have it like that!“
“Great little dive bar by the Tacoma Dome. It appeared that there was only a bartender and a cook on duty so we had to serve ourselves and order from the bar which wasn't a problem since it wasn't too busy. The cheeseburgers and pizza bread was great. Music was a little too loud for having normal conversation with our friends.“
“I have to start this review about our server, Shelby, who went wayyyy above and beyond. I have food allergies and she was back and forth to the kitchen a million times helping me find something safe to eat.She comped part of our meal because of the kitchen.Service was fast, and over the top wonderful. The food was just OK. My husband said his tacos were good, but mine was meh. Something was intolerably hot, and the proportions of ingredients in the taco salad were wierd. I took a few bites, took it home and tossed it. The nachos were OK. Really overcooked and the toppings came on the side. We wouldn't go again, because it's pricey and the food wasn't that great, but the service was exceptional. Thank you Shelby!“
“No really the bar type but I grew up in the neighborhood , was looking for a great bar to visit for my first few times and I'll tell you feeling at home at this place ! Don't expect the greatest but definitely for a eastside boy very comforting !“
“This place is perfect in many ways ! It is chill atmosphere parking is easy front and rear points of entry , one of the cleanest little watering stops around , bathrooms are extremely clean just a fun place ! My favorite reason Miller high life on tap and the owners are family 5 star“
“Bought a $100 gift card for my Father for Christmas. Can't wait for him to tell me about his first experience . My wife and I enjoyed individual flights last night, seated on the vintage looking green valour settee. The Bigger Bodies Reds. Each was amazing and it was a tough choice of which to choose for a glass. New World was the flight my wife enjoyed. Next I had a glass of the Blesoe. Two of our friend couples came so we became six. Each of them enjoyed a flight or glass. The staff was informative, super friendly and hospitable. We will certainly return, great meeting spot and The Spar is across the street;). The only suggestion is filtered water please as the water provided tasted to my wife & I like tap water.“
“I've wanted to try this spot since reading about it in the local newspaper. Finally tried it tonight... and it exceeded expectations! Our server, Sara, was phenomenal. The food was fantastic. (Cheese soup? OMG!) The setting is super cool. We loved it and will make it a regular destination.“

“Swung by for the first time on Friday night. The drinks were good!! It was extremely dark inside, though, like almost pitch black. I couldn't see the decor well enough to appreciate it, because it felt like being at the Pirates of the Caribbean ride with the power out ???.There's a wall-height fountain with a stone facade that I thought was awesome, but it wasn't running at the time. The staff, esp the guy checking IDs Friday night was super friendly and kind :)Parking: Minute amount of street parking in the alley, probably mostly occupied by nearby residents, and most of the closest parking options are paid. Expect to walk the hills a little bit“
“Amazing! Just go!!! Love the staff, food and ambience! This is my absolute favorite place ever! Bartenders are amazing and people are consistently awesome as well as the WINGS! Best wings in town! A few weeks ago I went 3 times in 1 week to order the wings - that's how yummy they are lol! Love Hans place!!! You guys are the best!!!“
“If you’re a fellow Pinball Wizard this bar/pinball hall is for you. A great rotating selections of pinball machines, a quarter machine, a few sweet or salty snacks, and of course drinks. They also have Pac Man a classic, and Area 51 a personal favorite…¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Open late, they host tournaments, and it’s a great place to escape the chaos that can be 6th Ave.“
“When my friend and I are in the mood to go out dancing we head to Dawson's. I find a lot of Joy in dancing and don't mind dancing all night by myself. We especially like to go when the T-Birds are playing. The last time we went my dentist Dr. Hickey was filling in for them. Next time I go, I will probably be when he is playing with his band. We like to go early and order the fish and chips and our service has always been excellent. Thank you, Denise“
“The 1st time I have been there and the bartender is by far my favorite bartender. Great conversationalist and knows her drinks and if she isn't sure, she was more than okay to look it up and make sure she had the liquor or substitute to make my drinks! She had me stay there longer than I had planned, haha! Excellent “
“This is really cool! When you arrive you check in at the counter and get your bracelet. Then you serve your own drinks! This means you can sample as many as you like and you don't have to commit to a drink you're unsure of. The indecisive person's dream come true! The staff were friendly and were kind in answering questions. You can sit on chairs around a coffee table or there is a table that has swings for chairs. Fun but can be hard to sit on for a long time. Next time I'm in Tacoma I want to come back here!“
“Cute, fun hole-in-the-wall tap room. Amazing ciders and sours. Tried the bbq pork pans and Toms sandwiches, best sandwich I’ve ever had. Staff was super cool and friendly. Will be back just for a sandwich. Very clean in there too. 4729/10 reccomend!“
“I hear this place can get rowdy, no signs of itmaybe late night?? The Billy Bs burger is fucking amazing too. First time trying egg in my burger ngl it's somethin And the bartender is awesome makes a very nice coke n rum From your local transgender“
“This place was cute, I went with some girlfriends and the wine we had was really good. My friends got some appetizer meat plate with cold cut, nuts and fruit, and a few other things that they said were good. I had the veggie melt( I am vegan) but I didn't care for it, not the owners fault or anything just wasn't my thing. Other than that we had a great time!“
“We ate here late at night at the happy hour, the menu had good choices and the chicken tacos were really good. The waitresses and customer service is really good. I would highly recommend the street tacos and the guacamole. The bar area can get a bit loud with some customers. But overall, it was a good experience.“
“JJ was absolutely phenomenal. Great personality, super friendly, extremely forgiving to someone who had no idea how an actual barber shop worked (me, I’m the newbie) and holy s*** my hair never looked so good. He was so quick getting me done that I was truly shocked, in a good way of course. Need a cut? Go see JJ. Definitely my new spot.“
“We stayed nearby at an airbnb and found U Betcha Pub charming. I would say it's a regular spot for locals but everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The food is really good, it's "bar food" but that's what we wanted. We had hamburgers and chicken burgers both were delicious and generous sized portions. Decent selection of IPA's on tap which my adult son enjoyed. I like a nice cocktail and the bartender didn't disappoint! There's just something about that sign that felt nostalgic, we had to try. We went back a 2nd time too. Also great music, and the jukebox is one you can do by your phone. I didn't know but my kid did. Again, give it a try, service is excellent, food is great, and other customers welcoming.“
“I absolutely love this place. Great drinks, delicious food including salads, and really nice pizzas with a gluten-free crust option that is exceptional. Great atmosphere. But most of all, I love Reagan, the bartender, service person, Person-Who-Does-It-All!! She is GREAT at her job, and makes you feel welcome and at home and like you have a friend. She is the reason we are regulars. :-)“
“I had never heard of this bar before, I started coming when Sheri posted she was working here. I knew her from some other places so I was excited to check out something new and something close to home. We came a few times and really enjoyed the food. We came once when it was Sheri’s day off and the service was horrible. The bar had maybe 2 people, and there were 2 tables occupied. We were told we had to order at the bar. I could see the if it was busy…but why if it was so slow? We have definitely noticed a significant improvement since the previous manager left…not only more people but the people who work here just seem friendlier and the food has improved. My friends and I come often for the tacos on Tuesdays (which are so good) and we are happy to see the place so crowded and doing well!“
“Service was amazing, after my fair share of alcohol. Decided it was time for food.....I have doordashed .y fair share of food, but this was literally the best burger I've had in Tacoma so far. 5 guys, red robin, and Wendy's be damned..... definitely recommend“
“This place has been my only spot in Tacoma that I love to order wings , drink a beer, shoot pool and have a blessed time. Bartender, cook, and other Staff members are like family. I joke with the Bartender Ceci, " my football team is recruiting woman to play football", and she just laughs, gets my drink served with an amazing basket of wings and onion rings. On point, all the time..“
“Dave,Kathy, and Olga are/were great friends of mine since 1986!Service is great!Food is greatBeer flows Plentiful and Cold!Pizza is greatSPECIALS are just that! But delicious!Attitudes are welcome!Conviviality cool and demented......what else can one ask for?Check it out@...... ( used to be Great Dane friendly as long as you feed it Fries)Cheers!Ozark; Mike! Lol“
“I have eaten there 3 times in the past year and each time I ask for Shawna. She is the friendliest and best waitress ever, I return every time I’m in Tacoma just to see her. Hope she is still there when I come back this spring. The steamed clams and chowder is the best!“
“My networking group (Ignite-U) meets at Tower Lanes midday Tues and Wed and early on Fridays. The staff accommodates our large group (60-80) in a spacious room, Tova, our personal server, delivers excellent care when taking our food orders and delivering them. She handles the load flawlessly, and she's fun. After our formal meeting, many of us head to the bar/restaurant area to continue our networking. Again, we are met with excellent service by the staff. I can't name every employee who serves our large group, but I can say we are treated very well, and in return, many relationships are built and deepend. Thank you, Bob, Chelsea, and Tova (+others), who help turn my meetings into amazing friendships and memories.“
“Enjoyed lunch with my girls. wife got the cat fish and my daughter, granddaughter, and I split a boil of shrimp, class, snow crab, and sausage with corn and potatoes. It was delicious and all I was hoping hope. Well priced for the portions as the girls were able to take home a good amount for later. the atmosphere and the staff were great. definitely recommend for any event.“
“Wonderful little place with reasonable prices, great food and cool ambiance. I come a lot and try different plates. Great French Dip, Oyster burger, burgers, chowder, chili, salads and much more. Pull tabs and sports on the tube. Full bar (no one under age tho). The train goes by at least every 30 minutes and the water is right outside the doors. People are friendly too.“
“I was craving deep fried pickles, so i googled it and this place came up. Me and my wife sat at the bar, ordered our food to go and had a couple beers while we waited. The wait staff was super friendly and attentive to us even with a full saturday night crowd. When we got home, i regretted getting the "stupid hot" sauce on my wings because DAMN! Lol. I love spicy, and the name lives up the heat. Luckily, i also got some garlic parmesan wings that were delicious, the deep fried pickles and a side salad. We cant wait to come back and dine in.“
“This place is super cute and great for studying! The service was really fast. I ordered a vanilla chai with oat milk. It was a little sweet for my taste but it was the perfect temperature so I'll know better for next time. The cookies were excellent warm and super big too.“
“Overall good vibe with fun female bartenders! A bit busy downstairs by the bar where the one pool table was always occupied. Upstairs where we hung out were big buck hunting (brought back good ol Hawkeyes college years!), foosball table and old school non-electric dart with chalk-score board! We were recommedned the place a cute local gay couple during our ramen outing at Mochi and had to hit the place up. It did not disappoint! Will definitely be back!“
“First of all, Zoe is amazing at handling large groups effortlessly and with a great attitude! I asked her for her favorite 'fancy' cocktail, and it did not disappoint. I also was not expecting such good brisket in this bar, but DAMN. All around an great experience.“
“Even though I won't be back here for a bit i shall always remember the Airport Tavern fondly. Regardless: Overall?? The staff in general are terrific; just about all of the patrons are kool as all get out and the venue itself is fantastic. Do not hesitate to visit A.T.“
“First time stop at All Seasons Sports Tavern was a great experience. Not crowded but certainly buzzing with life. The tavern wench did well getting the drinks and food out to all partons in a timely and cheerful manor. A group of 15+, mostly Army, were there having a party sending off one of their own and entertaining many other patrons with a line dance and outdoor game of cornhole aka toss across. Very polite and jubilant group of young people. Good food and overall pleasant home town feel. Definitely will stop in again.“
“So we went to a bar a month ago and spent about $200 we decided to try out a new one we went to this bar and we spent less money the drinks were better here the atmosphere was amazing the food was great the drinks were great the people were awesome including the bartenders obviously and they have like this mini Rave on taco Tuesday and 2 for $5 tacos I highly recommend going on Tuesday I mean any day that they have an event I probably recommend going but definitely Tuesday in my opinion I mean who doesn't like tacos for $5“
“(I didn't rate the food because I have food allergies--and I heard the menu is changing as of March or April 2024)The cider is amazing and the friendly staff is extremely knowledgeable about it. The handcrafted urban chic decor is conducive to great conversation and the musical offerings on Fridays and Saturdays have been top notch.“
