“Tomorrow's Verse is one of our favorite Portland establishments. The beer selection is top notch, the space is open and inviting, and the staff is always welcoming. They offer savory hand pies and permit outside food too--there is a wealth of excellent food options all along NE Fremont. Additionally, Tomorrow's Verse has a patio area--it became our living room during the height of the pandemic. If you're into live music, Tomorrow's Verse frequently hosts bands and streaming concerts. I cannot recommend Tomorrow's Verse enough.“

“Gumba, I love you. This is my third time eating here and today I fell in love even more. We started with the burrata and fry bread and damn that was amazing. Then the calamari arrived and damn that was amazing. We shared the tagliatelle with duck confit , pappardelle, and the squid ink and damn they were all so so amazing. Every bit was perfection. No other Italian restaurant compares to Gumba.“

“Stopped by while bar was opening to kill some time. It's a really well designed bar, the BBQ out back smells amazing, but I was about to go out for dinner with friends, so I stuck to drinks. Bartender ended up being one of the owners and was super cool and chill to chat up. Great drinks and convo, loved the atmosphere. Will definitely be back.“
“A gem of a place in St Johns. This really is a great little bar to sit back, relax and enjoy a pint in. Pet Friendly and just very chill, it's the type of place where you stop in for a pint, but stay for the conversation. An impressive selection of beers are on tap, there's a small and simple food menu that just sits right. Art and doggy treats can also be found for sale here. Glad I stopped in and I'll be stopping in again for sure!“
“Stopped in to listen to some great music by Acoustic Ridge. Ordered a Chile Lime cider, and it's not really my favorite. Super tart and tangy with a dry after taste. You can order food from the Food Cart Nest, which is located a block away in a cute little pod of food carts. Next time we go I'll order food for sure. It's definitely worth a visit, plenty of street parking, and the seating availability is great! Lots of options, indoor and outdoor.“

“Listen, I live nearby and used to get Spitz ALL the time. The fries are AMAZING and most of the staff are AWESOME. The drinks are also super yummy. But recently I've been forgoing it for several reasons:1) portion size has decreased SIGNIFICANTLY on the bowls. Normally when I'd order a bowl to go, it would touch the top of the lid. Now, it's disappointingly half-full (or pessimisticly, half-empty). It just doesn't really feel like it's worth the pricetag, especially not with the food carts around the corner. Except the fries. The fries are DEFINITELY worth the money.2) I'm still peeved about an order I made a few months ago, which was a GF order (which I have automatically saved in my online orders to make it so, and double checked the note was there). Since I'd never had an issue before, I grabbed my bag, and I walked all the way home. When I opened it, I realized that they had put bread on it (obviously not GF). Since the bread was smashed down and touching everything AND I am gluten intolerant, I called to say that there had been an issue with the order and the woman on the other phone blatantly did not believe me??? She had me walk all the way back with my order, acted like I was a huge inconvenience when she pulled my bowl out of the bag, and made me wait like a naughty child before FINALLY remaking the order. Like the Millennial I am, *I* ended up apologizing profusely for receiving an incorrect order which could have made me really sick. She, on the other hand, kind of just thrusted my re-made food to me.Like, I had literally been going there about twice a week... There was no need to treat me like a thief or a Karen, OR make me show proof BEFORE remaking the order. It left SUCH a bad taste in my mouth.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free“

“Came down to St John's to check out the Lombard house after meeting the owner while I was bartending earlier this winter and we vibes over a love of all things Philly, and I gotta say I love the spot, the beer selection, and the ambiance. I can't wait to come back and check it out again soon!“

“I can’t recommend this place enough. It has become our local haunt. The staff are all delightful and super friendly. They allow you to bring your dogs in, so we are often found seated in the beautiful tables in the window (made from a single slice from a huge tree) with our pup curled up on the bench. They make amazing cocktails, and have a menu that rotates seasonally, with themed drink names. Or you can go with the delightful cocktails on tap, which seem to change every few weeks. And the pizza! This is probably my favorite NY-style pizza in the Portland-Vancouver area.Vegetarian options: They always have a couple of vegetarian pizzas in the case that you can get a slice of, or order one of their whole vegetarian or vegan pizzas.Kid-friendliness: There is both a bar side and a restaurant side, plus in between is a great arcade area.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get a wheel chair in and pull up to a table.“

“Love love LOVE the Traveling Taphouse/Yard Bar!!! It’s the perfect place to go on a hot summer night. There’s games, open spaces, great beer, and the staff is really fun! Lulu’s Kitchen is attached and serves amazing Mexican food. This place is the best!!!“
“This is another gem in the McMenamins line of fun, historical establishments - and by far my favorite! Been here many times over the years - actually even had my very first lobster roll EVER here (as a special item years ago) and it was amazing. The vibe is so quirky - you definitely feel like you’re walking the halls of your old elementary school - except there are bars and a lively restaurant and even a brewery haha!! The staff has always been super welcoming and friendly. The food at their main Courtyard Restaurant has always been great. On my last visit (July 2023), I had their chicken salad sandwich on croissant and it was SO GOOD!! Even their tater tots were perfectly cooked. And they even have some of the best iced tea I’ve had outside of the south! Their menu changes seasonally so it’s always a treat to try something new. After eating, leave time to explore - the grounds are just gorgeous and you’ll get lost in the nostalgia as you wander around the old school’s hallways. They have several bars - one is huge and has total steampunk vibes. They have a small hotel and a salt water pool - even the bathrooms are beautiful. I’d definitely like to stay here next time - but I imagine it can be a tad spooky at night haha! The school opened back in 1915 so it’s a historic building. The wall art is gorgeous and there are lots of info signs and historical pics scattered around. It’s in a good location in north Portland with plenty of parking and easy to find. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!“

“Best place in Ridgefield to grab a drink and a bite to eat. The beer selection is huge and rotates often, so there is always something for everyone. The only thing that doesn't seem to change is the service, always fun, friendly and first rate.“

“Are you looking for a quiet, well lit place to meet and hang out with friends?! This is a little hidden gem located right on Washington Street. They have over 10 different ciders on tap, and a couple beers if that's your thing. We couldn't decide on one cider so my husband and I shared a large flight. While we enjoyed all the flavors we got I went with a strawberry mojito flavor and my husband went with a vanilla cider. They've also got some great snacks to order. I'm gluten free and was able to order a gluten free flatbread. Our waitress/cook warned us that the crusts are difficult to work with but it came out absolutely perfect and delicious. If you are gluten free or vegan this place has you covered. There's a couple of Nintendo's set up in the back where you can play old skool Super Mario Bros. Also they have huge, clean, and nice bathrooms. Make sure you get the code to the bathroom door when you order.I'm looking forward to coming back and getting a vanilla cider next time.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free crusts availableParking: Parking can be difficult when it's busy. Street parking only unless you pay to park in a garage.Kid-friendliness: While you could bring children inside, there really isn't anything for them to do. There is merchandise for sale within grabbing distance of toddlers so consider leaving the kids at home for this venue.“

“I had always gone to the McMenamins restaurants in town at the coast and was really excited to check out this location! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was inviting. I got a salad and appetizer and was pleasantly surprised on how fresh the vegetables on the salad were. The hummus plate was really good too and even came with some pita bread that was warm and cozy in the middle. I met a friend in town and they wanted to share the experience with me and boy was I impressed!“

“Burgers and a place to smoke in a park like setting with outdoor heaters that actually work. Burgers and fries have been perfect and exactly the same for 10 years. I never sit inside. I also think you can sit on benches away from cigarettes if it’s not raining bc it’s a large outdoor space. Also Cherry Sprout grocery store is right there which is convenient all in one stop.“

“Cheap, stiff drinks. Nice patio.Edit: Lately, cold service and short pours from the gal that works during the day. Borderline rude. Not sure what changed, but I will be changing my times there. Will not change the actual review, because it seems like it is only this person, and maybe they are just having a bad time like many are right now.“

“Best Ruben I've ever had. I wish I had gotten the full size. Next time I'll ask for extra kraut. The tacos were unfortunately very bland. Missing spice and heat. The meat was cooked properly and the size was right. A little wet though for 1 tortilla. I had iced tea and I wish it was 5 times stronger and that I had been offered a refill. QR ordering from table. Not my favorite because I have a lot of food restrictions, and I don't understand the lack of customer interaction. I'm a bartender so I get it though. It's convenient. That being said, for me it's hard to give the customary 25% tip because, well... for what exactly? I tipped 20% and for the experience that was a lot. The bartender was not too chatty but nice enough. I would have liked 1 check it to see how the food was. Atmosphere was very chill on a weekday afternoon which is exciting for me. There were 6 or 7 mid age men. I was the only female, besides the one in the kitchen. She has a beautiful blue tiled wood fired pizza oven. That's pretty cool. There are Tv's with sports and various other things. I saw a huge projector screen on one wall. I'm looking forward to a nice chill weekday spot to play games. They have a pool table, corn hole, shuffleboard, hoops and board games. All indoors! They have trivia on Thursdays. I didn't see any signage about who puts it on so maybe self ran? It's got a bit of a pole barn feel inside but not cheap. There are regular dining tables and a lot of tall tables. I opted for the regular ones because I have short legs and they fall asleep. They only have tall tables near the games. The high ceilings were helpful in creating an open space. It's bright inside and they have outdoor seating. It's a parking lot so don't expect a view. The bathroom was my least favorite part and from the looks of the plastic sheeting for walls, it may be... I hope it is, under construction. They close relatively early so I don't imagine it gets too rowdy. I'm looking forward to going back.“

“Alberta Pub in the King area of Portland is a cornered watering hole hangout hosting a raucous of a party until the wee hours of the morning. My daughter wanted to kickstart our Sunday as she'd gotten wind of Alberta P's Soulful Sundays lineup a while back and suggested we come during my short solo visit to Portland. Alberta P. has a dim, cozy feel with the bar area+stools and other tables around. My kid and I were here for the live music the next room over. This room has high stools, slender counters on opposite side and several hi-top tables front of the stage- with cymbals, decorating the walls. Grab a cocktail and settle in. The owner seems to be a legend in these parts who has been hosting and supporting the local live jazzy+Soulful Sundays music scene for a while. Come here if you wanna listen and jive to musicians zhuzh up famous jazzy and soul tunes. The Sunday my kid and I visited, the live band improvised their own schtick- but it also felt sloppy as the main singers ate up a bulk of the time stretching out the songs. At times, it felt and looked like they were cackling. Despite this, the singers had a powerful voice-especially the guy. My daughter and I ended our evening on a high note in a dimly lit venue while a live band tinkled out sets of jazzy+ soulful tunes until late. Come with an open mind and you'll leave with your senses bedazzled in some fun- but interesting way.“

“Super welcoming staff and regulars. We went for the block 15 beer release but they had quite an area of other options with many local to WA and OR. I liked the front area of the taproom, but it was full at the time. The back area is a little secluded, but they do offer darts!“

“Foods hot, and delicious! I often find myself needing to add more seasoning to my food to enjoy. I didn't need to eating here, and the customer service is really good. Definitely an easy place to recommend, and there's plenty of alcohol options for you to enjoy.Wheelchair accessibility: There's ramp access for wheel chairs.“
“Note: this is not a review of the establishment as I have never been (but it will be my first stop if I find myself in Vancouver!). This is a review of Glowed Up IPA… Experienced a pint at Briggs Taphouse in Olympia and it was FAN-TASTIC!! So GOOD. ❤️“

“Facing Matt's BBQ and offering beers and other drinks.Good to be able to get some beer to go with the bbq, so no complaints. Not sure which ones I got, probably a pilsner and a hazy ipa. Don't remember anything amazing to the beers, but it's perfect for providing refreshing and strong palate cleansing elixirs to balance out the amazing and rich bbq from Matt's.Guess beer selections change, so luck of the draw if there is something good on your visit or not. But anything is good to pair with bbq:)Think I saw one of the Matt's workers grabbing an iced coffee drink from here before starting work, so maybe it's a good source of caffeine hit here:)“

“The interior is a little rough around the edges, and could use some TLC and more frequent wiping down, but the pizza and the beer here are both spot on! I can deal with a little grunge and grime around the edges when the pie is this good! Location is nice as well, and no complaints about the employees or the service, either.“
