“This is by far the best little restaurant on the Long Beach Peninsula. They had a rock fish special and is one of the best meals I have had in a while. The ambiance, the service/owner/staff, and the food were phenomenal. I normally don't leave reviews but this place was too special not to give a proper shout out.”

“Great place, large servings. My wife and I got a pork/chicken combo and had it for lunch and had it the next day for lunch too! 4 meals! Anyway, it's mostly for take out though there is a picnic table in front of the place if you want to eat there. Highly recommended!”

“I had the fish and chip cod with onion rings the. cod was very dry no flavor to it at all all you can taste is grease in the Cod and in the onion rings and a bowl of clam chowder which clam chowder was not clam chowder it was bacon and potatoes there was no clams in it it tasted like bacon and grease my friend had the French dip the bread was small and hard the meat was dry did not taste good at all would not recommend this place to anybody ever again food absolutely sucks the cook done is now how to cook he doesn't know how to change his oil or how to get the food out correctly I would not recommend this place to anybody nor their food very disgusting and disappointed in it”

“Absolutely love this bakery. Their tres leches is my boyfriend's favorite and they have a variety of treats to checkout. The service is great and they are always so welcoming and attentive. I like how relaxed it is inside and the set up of all the baked goods is everything. I 100% recommend coming here if you haven't.”

“We ordered the halibut tacos and carne asada tacos along with a side of beans. It was delicious - the flavors were so great. The owner was very welcoming and we enjoyed chatting with her. She makes all the pickled veggie toppings which were also super tasty. We will definitely go back when we are in the area again.”

“Kudos on an outstanding apple fritter. (!) Not oily at all. Moist and bready on the inside, lightly crunchy on the outside. Tasted wonderfully fresh. More than the usual apple flavor too. Really made us take notice. Maple bar was nice too. Even the thermos of self-serve coffee ($2.50 for 12oz cup) was pretty decent on its own (and nicely hot), but it really went well with the apple fritter and maple bar. Would happily return when visiting the area again.”

“Superb! The most delicious burger we have eaten in a while. Beautiful and tasty ahi tuna. Oyster shots - can’t even describe, you must try them yourself. And the cherry on top - nice decor and clean restrooms. Overall we didn’t expect this level of service and food quality at the small seaside town. It was a nice surprise. Can’t recommend more.”

“The very best mushroom Swiss burger! And it comes with bacon without having to ask! And I’m picky about my burgers! The only complaint would be to ditch the horrible Ken’s ranch! Y'all could absolutely make the best homemade ranch, I believe in you! your food deserves good ranch! Please!”

“This was by far the best salad I have gotten on the Peninsula! And it wasn't even all there. I have a dairy allergy so I ate it dry (dressing has dairy) and it was still amazing. Staff were so helpful and went out of the way to make sure my food came prepared correctly. The presentation was also beautiful!Dietary restrictions: Just ask and they will help!”

“Where to start? Both ladies working were pleasant and helpful. Kids played games while we waited. Went out on the beach to watch the tide and eat lunch. The cod and chips was some of the best I have ever had, and I order it everywhere I go. The chowder is good and thick. The fries with chowder were amazing. The fries themselves are super tasty.This is now a must stop every time I come to Long Beach.”

“Went there again on our recent trip to Ocean Park. Great as always. We sat outside and they have added a Pupper Menu. Nice touch. Buffy, our Corgi, had the cooked turkey. Generous portion, we saved some for her breakfast the next two day. Food, drinks and service were great as always. A definite hit. “Great pizza and friendly staff. I've only been there on Friday and Saturday nights when they have live music, and it is a hoot. Good drinks and a mellow atmosphere. If you like dill, you have to try the pickle pizza. I'm sure all the food is good, but I've only had the pizza so far. The kitchen is small, so don't expect instant food if it's busy (it's worth the wait). They have many different pizzas and regular pub food (burgers, fries, sandwiches, etc.). It seems like a lot of the patrons are locals and they are very friendly.Parking: There is a decent-sized parking lot that wraps around the building.”

“Tried this as a spontaneous backup due to The Corral being closed and wasn't anywhere on their page. Ordered a BBQ Smokestack and the basic Cow-something burger.Looks wise - burgers were appealing and the fries were the best ones, beer battered! Taste wise, burgers were definitely solid all around; tasty and smelled appetizing.Our only complaint was we asked twice for no pickles but ended up getting pickles on the Smokestack, so a word to the wise - just be mindful of your order.Overall definitely recommend for the area locals and tourists as a solid 4 star food truck.⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“I got an iced caramel macchiato! Tastes super good and I did not have to wait long at all. The barista made it extremely fast and it's super cool because you can see it being made as well! I drove through on a sunny day and the ambiance was great! If you're looking for good coffee in Long Beach then I definitely recommend coming here! :)”

The best thing about this amazing tavern is the ice cold beers. Too many places are serving *moderately* cold beer, but this place is giving you frosty deliciousness. “Chen's has no right being this tasty! I mean c'mon. We're in a tiny coastal town and this is some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. We always get the sauteed vegetables, house special chow mein, and corn chowder. Everything comes out delicious and hot. It is our first dinner stop whenever we come to visit Long Beach. Highly recommend.”

“We were walking by looking at all the shops and found this place by accident. We decided to stop in for a quick bite and we were pleasantly surprised. You need to walk up to the counter to order, then they bring your food and drinks to your table. We only ordered calamari strips and clam chowder, but the portions were really big and the calamari was cooked perfectly. The clam chowder was definitely one of the best we’ve ever had. I will definitely go back to try other items. The waitress was great!”

“It feels like a totally different restaurant than the one I tried last year. Same place and name. I had the chorizo egg plate and it was yummy and flavorful but not too spicy. Hubby had their taquitos and nachos with beef. Said the meat was tender and really good! We will be returning more often. Also closer to where I live and can walk to!”
