“Great for a day for relaxation and catching up with friends. Our meal was cooked to perfection and the flavors in every dish was well thought through. The view of Puget sound and Mt Rainer was breathtaking. No chill be close to such large windows. Great wine list. Staff was extremely attentive and was able to give space for a night out with friends. It was an extremely enjoyable evening. The beet salad is a good way to start off and clean your palate.“
“A wonderful and unassuming place run with obvious care. The quality of every ingredient makes even the simplest menu items a joy to eat. Great variety of slices available, lots of options for meat eaters and vegetarians, and I am a huge fan of gluten-free crust. Very comfortable, casual setting. Highly recommended!“
“I have never had pizza to go and went there tonight. The second I walked in Patrick, Danni and Giuseppe were so warm, welcoming and quite the comedians! They suggested a glass of wine while I waited for my pizza so I went and had a glass of wine. The bartender was just as amazing as them! Hands down the best customer service in a long time and the pizza was outstanding! I'll definitely be back! Thank you :)“
“The caprese was delicious. The blistered cherry tomatoes, pesto and burrata were a magical combination, beautifully executed. The halibut special was a wonderful combination of bright rich flavors and still managed to be light. Prosciutto wrapped grilled asparagus - just yes.The halibut was just a trifle overcooked, but I'm rounding up from 4.5 stars.Friendly, capable service that was distributed amongst the crew because of a built-in 20% service charge policy, which usually leads to competent but not exceptional service.“
“There for Easter brunch. The food was very good, but the variety was disappointing. I was hoping for more pasta choices. I felt like we spent $60 each for breakfast, which I understand it’s brunch but where were the lunch items? Plus the all you can drink options (alcohol) are additional fees, which was misleading from the advertisement.Overall disappointing but the food and service was very good. Will try a normal dinner service next time and skip the buffet.“
“While spending a long weekend in beautiful Gig's Harbor, we found some really great little restaurants, in this case Il Locano. Even though it was a Saturday night and we arrived without a reservation... and the place was VERY busy... we were seated after only a couple of minutes. Our Caesar salads and pasta entrees (puttaneska for my wife and simple spaghetti and meatballs for me) were plentiful and delicious. The slices of Italian bread they brought to the table were very tasty with the mix of olive oil and herbs they pour onto a dish for you to dip. All in all, this is a great place to eat and we'll happily go back!“
“if Kenzie is your server, you'll have the best service around. Its rare nowadays to find a good waitress that actually dererves the tips. She blew both me and my party away with how friendly she was! 10/10. She 100% deserves recognition!“
“Wow wow, this is the very very best food l ever had in my life ?, my mouth was watering ? l couldn't wait for the food to get to the table!!!! “rainer room is a diamond in the rough! i almost didn't put review because i don't want to prevent being able to get reservation. i also know these students work hard and deserve the credit. The food is so delicious and affordable prices. You truly will be addicted to the food and price.“
“This place is kinda hidden. Their sign is completely blocked by a tree. I'm happy we found them though. For some reason most of the Italian restaurants that I know in our area have closed. You still have the big chains but alot of the smaller restaurants have closed. I like expensive Italian food as much as the next guy but it's really nice to have a place locally that I can walk out of spending less than $100. We got the chicken parm and the tricolor tortellini, with some deep fried raviolis for about 60 bucks. Tasted great. Sauce was buttery and garlicky on the tortellini. Chicken parm was quite large and had some nice color on the cheese. Never had deep fried raviolis before but That's going to be my go-to going forward. A textural wonderland. Much better than your big chain restaurants. Service was impeccable. My water glass was never empty. Will definitely visit again.“
“We stopped in for dinner before heading to the movies. We had the Prosciutto & arugula pizza & spinach & artichoke dip. Both were really good and we had plenty of leftovers for two people. Service was quick and friendly. We will definitely be back!“
“Great food and awesome locally owned family business! I expected the wait to be longer on opening night with every table packed, but the service was good and shorter wait times than expected! I had the gnocchi and it was amazing! The Fundido app was also awesome“
“Delicious cheese pizza ?, I can't wait to come back to either have another one or try their other delicious food items.Vegetarian options: Have delicious meat less options.Kid-friendliness: Has a different assortment of games for kids.“
“The food and the service was amazing!! My wife is gluten sensitive and they were very accommodating. Several desserts to choose from (even for my gluten sensitive wife). Prices were very reasonable as well. The ambiance was great, with plenty of views of the water. The only downside was the noise level, however we were there on a Friday night and it was extremely busy which I'm sure was part of reason. Will definitely be coming back to this gem!“
“An absolute gem! Great food served by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I lived in Tacoma for 20 years, but have been away for 23 years. Now back in the area, we went back to our old favorites. The so-called fine dining, well established restaurants we used to enjoy have really gone downhill! So disappointing. So glad I found Macaluso’s to celebrate our anniversary. Great food, fantastic staff that really work at serving their guests to make it an enjoyable event. Special thanks to James and Johnny! It was a pleasure to meet the owners who came to greet us at our table. We will be back! Highly recommend it.“
