“You always hear about these hole in the wall places that are locally owned and provide amazing food, but it can be pretty hard to find them. Matt's Famous Chili Dogs is one of those places, and you should absolutely check it out! They're on the corner of an intersection, so it's pretty easy to access (despite Google Map's penchant for making illegal turns), and you're greeted with a burger shack that screams homely and locally owned. When you go in, there's a surprisingly modern setup with incredibly friendly service staff waiting to take your order. I got the double bacon with cheese, some fries and fry sauce, and a coke. Overall it was less than $15, and I was served within minutes. The food was delicious. Meaty and fresh, with a taste that felt clean, savory and not oily like many modern fast food joints. It all tasted exactly how a burger should, seasoned and cheesy with a hefty and a bite from the fresh onions.Absolutely worth a stop by if you're in the area. Check them out, you'll be a regular in no time!“
“The menu has a wide variety of their specialty corn dogs. This is a unique dining experience. Not your average county fair corn dog. I had the half and half with a ramen coating. It was part hot dog and part mozzerella. The ramen coating was crunchy and delicious. It was great to see the place crowded on a Saturday night. The place is geared to take out. The service was fast and friendly. If your looking for something different, this is a great place to try.“
“had been really excited to try a seattle dog for a while and finally got it herethis was an incredible hot dogi have to say probably the best hot dog i've ever hadstarting with the buns, these were toasted perfectlythe outside had a perfect brown toasted look that felt just hard enough, but theinside was unbelievably soft - these were some really high quality bunswas really impressed with how well these tastedmoving to the sausage itself, one thing that was quite surprising was the overall size of the meatit was too long to fit in the bun on both ends - which I appreciated as it was clear they weren't tryingto skimp you on the portion of meat. This was cut in half - which I also liked as it made eating it easierThe level of grilling on this was perfect - there were char marks on either side providing clear flavorbut definitely not burned. It had a definite 'grill' flavor but also remained quite juicy and enjoyable to eatThe vegetables (mostly onions) were really good as well. I know there was a lot of oil put on them, but these were also grilledto a really good level and were super crunchy with the oil imparting a lot of flavorLastly, the cream cheese was fantastic. The one food-based gripe I have with this was I wish there was more cream cheesespread on both buns, as I couldn't taste it that often, but when I could taste it - it really brought everything together, acting like aperfect sauce. I love this combination of cream cheese + onions + the hot dogI will say that this was a little expensive - coming in at about 10 dollars with taxFor a meal that's really not going to fill you up much, that's a lotGiven that it is a hot dog, the portion size was relatively good, howeverThis would get a lot higher of a score if it was a) filling enough or b) economical enough to get two of themOverall, an incredibly flavorful hot dog - only missing a slight amount in price and portion size, but considering that this is street food,I couldn't expect anything better in terms of flavor8.75/10“
“Walked past one Sunday and saw that they were polishing their wooden floors.(they were immaculate) I head back on a day when they were open and they were playing TV Girl, Alvvays, Tame Impala?!Food was great, beer was excellent and some great tunes were playing.Making my way back right now.“
“I love that cream cheese. Who would have thought! So hot, delicious and filling. The staff are always so nice and friendly as well. Shocking considering they are usually dealing with the drunk crowd! All smiles no matter what. Also very fast and inexpensive!“
“Despite the busy Friday night rush, the service was very fast and the hot dogs were freshly made. I had the Seattle dog and wow was it good!! Good, tasteful quality hot dogs for a reasonable price. Will be checking this stand out more often.“
“this place is so creative with their glizzys. Someone was smoking cause I wouldn't have thought of putting pb&j and cream cheese on my dog but it was delicious. It's super unique. My man got their Seattle dog and on the right is the pb&j it was less than $25 including chips and a drink I will definitely come again.Parking: Located right in front of Lowes“
“The Trophy Room is a perfect secluded venue for hosting groups, with a fun bowling game in the corner! Drinks were very affordable and strong, and the Shorty's dog and nachos were both fresh and flavorful. Morgan was the most attentive and awesome bartender!“
“My partner and I went here on our first date and had a great memorable time. This is why we came here tonight to celebrate our engagement. We made a reservation for just the two of us. Unfortunately a group of people decided to disrespect our boundaries and encroach on our space to smoke weed. We don’t have any problem with weed but did hear that it should be non-smoking. What we did have a problem with is that despite telling these people we were trying to have alone time and that we’d appreciate if they left us alone, they stayed and smoked. A guy actually sat right next to me on the bench. Our waitress nor any staff told them to leave our area and we ended up leaving because of it. One guy with long brown hair and dressed as a pirate even had the audacity to tell us that “he knows the person who runs the place” in order to dismiss our boundaries and requests. Unfortunately the whole thing left a sour taste and ruined this part of our engagement night, so we will not be returning. The club was short-staffed, but I don’t appreciate my boundaries being ignored and all for a friend of the owner or management to smoke a blunt with friends. Very unfortunate given our prior experiences here and we likely won’t return. As a survivor, I don’t appreciate random men trying to dictate my boundaries and space for their own needs. There’s no reason to make a reservation if it isn’t honored. The drink we got was good.“
“Deez dogz hit the spot after the concert. Great hot dog stand with fast friendly & lovely service. Good toppings so you can have the dogs just the way you like them. And simple sides (chips and soda) perfect for snacking. We had a spicy and a Polish and both were hot and delicious.“
“Had Dirty Dogs out to our location to help celebrate a big thank you for employees. They were able to keep up with the busy rush of people coming to get a dog. The food was fantastic and the feedback from employees was top shelf. The employees were friendly and professional and great to work with. I would highly recommend Dirty Dogs for anyone looking for a great meal for a group of people.Dietary restrictions: Had a great vegi dog and gluten free options on the buns.“
“Hot dog by the bay. It's a decent hotdog served on a nice bun, kinda like a Kiaser roll. There is a side fixings bar with onions and relish that you can add to your hotdogs if you don't get one of the specialty dogs that are offered. Great views of the waterfront.“
“Everyday for weeks, my good friend and roommate, Sydney, would not stop talking about wanting a Korean Rice Dog. It got to the point that if she mentioned Korean Rice Dogs one more time, I thought I might combust on the spot. Therefore, one fateful day, we headed to the only spot in Seattle that would properly fulfill her dream of tasting a Rice Dog—Chung Chun in the International District.Chung Chun is inside a Mochi Donut shop. It’s a small place and occasionally it has a line outside. The inside wasn’t the cleanest, but it’s fine because it’s practically a walk-up window. There is a small counter for eating, but there is only room for 6-8 people. The pricing was affordable.I firmly believe that Chung Chun is the best rice dog restaurant in Seattle. They fry them fresh, have at least 8 different options, and a wall of sauces to choose from. This is an authentic experience, and isn’t touristy. You can get sugar on your rice dog, which seems more American than Korean, but I’m sure it’s customary. We all ordered the potato rice dog and they were excellent. Piping hot, just the way mother used to make it. The crunch brought tears to Sydney’s eyes. We all were overjoyed seeing her dreams come true. She described the experience at Chung Chun as heavenly.I would not eat here often, as my cholesterol would shoot through the roof, but if you’re in the mood for rice dog, this is the place to come! The service was very friendly, and the girl who served us seemed like she genuinely loved working at Chung Chun. She probably knew that she was granting Sydney’s ultimate wish though, and who wouldn’t smile about that!Kid-friendliness: Kids will like this food.“
