The baristas were by far the fastest I’ve seen; I had my coffee in hand by the time I was finished paying. It’s a friendly place too. I went back the next day and they remembered my order, which is far above my expectations for any coffee shop, especially one this busy. The coffee itself is pretty standard Seattle stuff, (caveat: I’m no connoisseur) but the service alone is worth writing a review for.
As a coffee snob, I think a lot of Seattle coffee is not as great as from my hometown San Francisco. I usually go for the dark Italian roasts, but the hipsters (in SF and Seattle ), seem to go for that light to medium roast, like the very overrated Blue Bottle out of SF. Caffe Vita here is way too bitter and the taste seems way off to me. So I finally found the right blend, served by Real Fine. super good coffee here. quality roast and the drinks are made well. pastry case is not the strongest in town (Seattle usuals) but the coffee makes up for it. and the ambiance plus cool neighborhood staff. pups allowed inside is a cherry on top.
