“This review is specifically for Collin C. On Sunday morning (2/25/24) my husband and I got a phone call to come to the hospital to be induced with our first baby. They encouraged us to grab breakfast before coming in - so naturally my husband took me to Denny’s which is my favorite restaurant. I specifically LOVE the mozzarella cheese stick grilled cheese sandwich. We showed up and Collin C was our waiter and first I want to say we have been served by him before and is always 10/10 but today, for me, he was 100/10!!! He informed me that my fave sandwich was no longer on the menu but he went to see if it could still be done - and he made it happen! “I cannot say enough or what would even amount to the equivalency of what Tibbitts deserves. First the setting. It can and will be whatever you need it to be. Intimate, family, fun. There is so much about the owner and others who have visited on the walls. Old kitchen accessories, pictures and a couple of posters that show their dedication to a certain series Im sure we all binge watched. A very creative space that gives you an insight on the roots attached to Tibbitts, you can smile and nod at the picture of Shawns mom hanging high so she can see her sons dream in action. You can read about Shawns amazing story online on how his dream came true. What an inspiration of love and dedication. I encourage you all to go read it. So when you see the way this man greets his guests you will know a bit of his heart. He definitely enjoys what he does. Art from a local school is beautiful and an added sweet touch. It's like getting an inside peek into someone's life and before you meet them you just admire the living example that they are, living their best life.Second the Crew. With the few staff members they have, they pull it off. Very professional but personable, everyone was a blessing to encounter. My hat goes off to the crew. It makes for a nice at home feel with the limited seating. I see why reservations are required and why Tibbitts is only open on the weekends. Which brings us to the food. The menu is small but it packs a punch with variety and flavor. The stainless steel mugs keep your coffee hot the ENTIRE time. Good portions. Phenomenal flavor. Again, the kitchen crew is legit!!! “We came here for a late lunch after doing an escape room. The food was really good! Two of us are vegan, one is vegetarian, and the other two are omni. Most of us ate vegan/vegetarian and really enjoyed our meals! The server was fantastic and our meals were really affordable (most of us spent $25 total). It is a dive bar, so the noise level was expected (it's hard to hear and you have to shout). It was also really dark in there. But nothing that would keep us from coming back! The server was amazing, definitely made us feel right at home. Very friendly. “Hole in the wall appeal. Ordered bacon and eggs. Hash browns came as threads, never seen them cut so this, which made them super greasy. The eggs were cooked to order. One lady did alot of work, another spent most of the time on her phone talking about finding bar to go dancing. I had the good waitress, who brought this from a 3 to a 4.“

“This place is my new favorite place. I have been there 8 or 10 times the past few weeks and tried almost everything on the lunch menu and have only been delighted with the food every time. Its hard to pick a favorite but the Reuben is hands down the best Reuben sandwich I have ever had and others who have eaten here with me agree. I have not figured out exactly how the dynamic works here but Ivy who does most of the serving seems to have things in control im not sure if she is an owner or the chef or if the chef is the owner or what is happening on that level so I don't want to step on anyones toes but she is doing a fantastic job as the face of Spring Lake Cafe. The service is impeccable, the ambience is inviting and the food is delicious with a consistency hard to find in the new normal of society. Its refreshing to go to a place and know that it really does not matter what you order because you will enjoy it fir sure. I hope that people treat these guys well because the prices are out of a roll back time machine or something. “Place was extremely busy on Saturday night so there was a little bit of a wait to get seated. However everything else was absolutely amazing. The live musician set a really cool ambiance. And the food was fantastic. We started with the stuffed mushrooms which were probably the best appetizer I’ve had anywhere in a long time. I got the shrimp and grits as my main. I had never had that dish before and I was very pleasantly surprised. My girlfriend got the shrimp fry and was pleased as well. Portions were nice and big and the drinks were good too. 10/10 would recommend.“

We have had a hard time finding a really good burger especially since we’re super picky but after walking by it a few days ago and seeing how fun it looked I decided to try. My hubby ordered the pepper jack burger and I ordered the lamb. We were surprised how hefty it was when we took the burgers out and everything looked so fresh. The cheese was perfectly melted into the patty of the pepper jack burger and the patty’s were really good size. I was surprised how great the lamb burger was. I’ve had a few but this one was super flavorful and even a bit spicy.
