“I cannot say enough or what would even amount to the equivalency of what Tibbitts deserves. First the setting. It can and will be whatever you need it to be. Intimate, family, fun. There is so much about the owner and others who have visited on the walls. Old kitchen accessories, pictures and a couple of posters that show their dedication to a certain series Im sure we all binge watched. A very creative space that gives you an insight on the roots attached to Tibbitts, you can smile and nod at the picture of Shawns mom hanging high so she can see her sons dream in action. You can read about Shawns amazing story online on how his dream came true. What an inspiration of love and dedication. I encourage you all to go read it. So when you see the way this man greets his guests you will know a bit of his heart. He definitely enjoys what he does. Art from a local school is beautiful and an added sweet touch. It's like getting an inside peek into someone's life and before you meet them you just admire the living example that they are, living their best life.Second the Crew. With the few staff members they have, they pull it off. Very professional but personable, everyone was a blessing to encounter. My hat goes off to the crew. It makes for a nice at home feel with the limited seating. I see why reservations are required and why Tibbitts is only open on the weekends. Which brings us to the food. The menu is small but it packs a punch with variety and flavor. The stainless steel mugs keep your coffee hot the ENTIRE time. Good portions. Phenomenal flavor. Again, the kitchen crew is legit!!! Everything perfect to the point of heavenly blissfulness. I can say with all that is magical here you will want to come back. P.S. Don't forget to water the plants Shawn. ;)~Sarah from t-townParking: Parking was not an issue. I drive a large truck and I was able to park in the back of the lot no problem. There were plenty of open parking spaces.“
“Just had a nice ride with my fiance and stopped by for a bite to eat on the way home. I had the margarita pizza ? it had tomatoes, ? cheese ?, and a balsamic glaze. And my fiance had the macaroni and cheese ? with fried chicken ?. It was smoky and good. The pizza ? was very good. Definitely want to get either the macaroni and cheese ? next time or their burgers? . Thank you to Cheyenne our server. ?“
“We came here for a late lunch after doing an escape room. The food was really good! Two of us are vegan, one is vegetarian, and the other two are omni. Most of us ate vegan/vegetarian and really enjoyed our meals! The server was fantastic and our meals were really affordable (most of us spent $25 total). It is a dive bar, so the noise level was expected (it's hard to hear and you have to shout). It was also really dark in there. But nothing that would keep us from coming back! I highly recommend the vegan nachos! They were amazing.“
“Our first time at this restaurant, and we’ll be back! It’s kid friendly too. We ordered the bao pork belly buns and they were so delicious. Also had the angus burger which was perfectly cooked. And the wild mushroom homemade spaghetti!! It was delicious! Their craft cocktails were goood! Service was great too!Kid-friendliness: The restaurant itself is dark and moody, but there were plenty of families with children there.“
“One of our favorite spots in Tacoma. Great food every time! We usually go for breakfast on the weekend, we went for dinner the first time yesterday. The Prime Rib Dip was delicious. Additionally, Our server Michelle was super friendly and helpful.“
“Parking can be a little tricky, but we parked around the corner at the Safeway. Only about 90 seconds away.Food was all very well prepared and tasty. Slightly under seasoned, but a little salt worked great. Food quality also seemed really good. Everything was prepared well.Servers were on top of things, even with it being busy. Didn't need to ask for much.Drinks did not skimp on alcohol which was nice. Though I didn't enjoy my rum and coke. Probably the only thing that we didn't like.Would recommend this place if you're looking for a solid, local breakfast or brunch spot. I'll be going back here.“
“Been here twice for breakfast now and will absolutely go back! Very good food and I just LOVE the atmosphere -- everything is decorated so perfectly!I would say only go here if you love waffles or are craving them. Most of the menu is waffle-related and I haven't tried the whole menu of course but the non-waffle food items that I did taste were a bit mediocre but everything waffle-related is amazing!!“
“Finally got to try this place. Had breakfast and the food was delicious! Nashville hot chicken with a bacon waffle and bourbon syrup. Every bit as good as it sounds! Good service, nice ambience. Saw lots more that looked amazing on the menu. Will definitely be back.“
“Cute little spot. Waitress was super friendly and helpful. 1st time here and she had several recommendations. I need to go back and try breakfast. Only complaint was fries were a little cold, seemed like they were sitting for awhile. I'm not a Seinfeld fan, but I like the theme. It's fun! Prices are very good for what you get.“
“I just experienced the Pub Crawl event over the St Patrick's Day weekend! It was an amazing time! This bar is already an amazing place to come, unwind, have some good fun, drink, drink and drink more and it's always a place to meet people and have great conversations! And the fact that they participate in events like Pub Crawl show that they are on the cutting edge and care about us... Me and y'all... Their customers! I highly recommend this bar for great food, drinks, social interaction and great people to conversate with!!!! Check it out ASAP!!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!Parking: Plenty of parking real estate around this pub!Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheelchair access.“
“This place was amazing! The atmosphere is really fun, lots of old signage on the walls and they were playing a sports channel when our group went. The server was amazing, definitely made us feel right at home. Very friendly. The drinks were delicious, I got a screwdriver that was very generously poured, and my friend got a mimosa that was also wonderful, and the bloody Mary was delicious as well. And the food was amazing! I got the biscuits and gravy and it was absolutely delicious! The spicy breakfast burrito and Monte Cristo sandwich were delicious as well. Overall 10/10 would recommend, we'll definitely be coming back!“
“This place is awesome. I love coming here. I love their liquor selection and I also love their pizza. The calzones are really good too. It's a good vibes and good times every time I'm here and a very friendly staff. I can't pinpoint how many times I've been here but of course I always get a pizza and some beers. I'm so happy this place is still around even during the pandemic.“
“12 oz steak medium rare and no toast extra hash browns and over easy eggs best in town my wife had the eggs Benedict no gluten added tomato and avacado and grits with cheese on the side customize your own meals however you like it they will make it happen and the best friendliest way possible at a decent price as always one of my favs in the area always has been always will be!!!!!“
“No really the bar type but I grew up in the neighborhood , was looking for a great bar to visit for my first few times and I'll tell you feeling at home at this place ! Don't expect the greatest but definitely for a eastside boy very comforting !“
“Love this place. So tasty, so real. Never change!!!!!! 4/5 for service only because they don't keep to their listed hours. We've come within listed hours (maybe an hour before closing which should be enough time to not be obnoxious about storming the kitchen at the end of the night), and we were denied b/c it had been slow and they were closing early. But honestly I'll take it if means they'll keep it real as a true community/family-run establishment, and they were super polite about it.“
“Time for our monthly dinner out in own. We ate three starters the scallops the braised elk and the gnocchi Mac n cheese. Each dish was beyond expectations. I never knew elk could be so tender. Scallops seared and cooked to perfection. The layers of flavor in the ricotta gnocchi Mac and cheese delighted. For our mains we shared the grassfed hanger steak with melted leeks red wine reduction, garlic aioli, fries. Steak was a perfect and tender medium rare and well seared with the tangy red wine reduction it was rich and tangy all at once. I could cut the beef with the side of my fork so yummy ?AndThe hazelnut fed pork. Heritage Pork ribeye cap, couscous, frisée, hazelnut, shallot. This was the perfect light balance tossed with cool greens and warm couscous the crunch of hazelnuts off set with the amazingly seasoned tender pork made this dish an unexpected adventure.I drank the house Chardonnay which was delicious and my bro tried the special house made rose soda which was unique and fun.The absolute star of the night was dessert the Persian Love Bignets with Cardamom, rose, pistacchio. Served on a bed of cold creme. They smelled amazing so take that second and really take a good sniff cause heavenly flavors to come. The floral of the rose the nutty pistachio crispy shell with dusting of sugar this was heaven sent truly an amazing meal. Only bettered by the amazing friendly and attentive team of servers and cooks who more than met expectations. The bill comes with gratuity included but take note service was so great we tipped above and beyond that. Can't say enough good things about dining at The Table.Parking: This is on 6th Ave so street parking is scarce look for side streets and prepare to walk a block or two.Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible entry half the seating is counter height so make a reservation and also for a wheelchair height table.“
“Your basic diner, with that little local flare. Have not had a bad meal here, but can get a little busy (therefore slower service) during breakfast rushes. Their home fries are delicious, but the large portions make me a little sad because I just cannot eat that many potatoes for breakfast. Delicious scrambles, skillets and biscuits.“
“First of all I want to say their Reuben tastes just like a real Reuben, the food is super yummy. This place is no longer offering dine in, which I didn’t know because I was visiting town, so I ordered and waited in my car. I took a screen shot because I had instructions to provide the number at the takeaway window. It took a good while with no updates, but I got that text eventually and went right up to the window. My food was on the other side but nobody was there. After a lot of knocking and a call that wasn’t answered, someone did come to the window and asked for the number. But when I provided it, “we don’t even use that number,” and it was the only one I was given. I don’t know if she was by herself or what.It seems like the place is going through some kind of transition, but I would totally recommend the eats! Order at home and wait until you get that text to head in, reheat if necessary.“
“I didn't eat the food, but my husband has, and he said it was excellent!I left my purse in the area in front of her restaurant and she (sorry, I don't know your name!) not only rescued it, but returned it to the food counter next door because she knew that's where I would call!Thank you!!!“
“This place is like a blast from the past, something that's increasingly difficult to find. Loved it! Small, clean, friendly, and comfortable. We bowled, enjoyed a pizza and a pitcher of beer, appreciated the positive experience created by a really friendly team of employees, and just had a great time overall!“
“Amazing! Just go!!! Love the staff, food and ambience! This is my absolute favorite place ever! Bartenders are amazing and people are consistently awesome as well as the WINGS! Best wings in town! A few weeks ago I went 3 times in 1 week to order the wings - that's how yummy they are lol! Love Hans place!!! You guys are the best!!!“
“I hear this place can get rowdy, no signs of itmaybe late night?? The Billy Bs burger is fucking amazing too. First time trying egg in my burger ngl it's somethin And the bartender is awesome makes a very nice coke n rum From your local transgender“
“Not only was food great food was delivered insanely fast. Was skeptical on Sunday midday...but we sat ordered and very shortly after had our food. Tad pricey but worth it. Honestly, I thought the potatoes were gonna be the weakest link. They look like they weren't cooked all the way through but they were freaking “
“I’m gone be honest I haven't lived in Tacoma since 2019. But this place was she beat American that I’ve ever eaten between 2017-2019. That roast beef and mash potatoes taste better that your Nana and Papa's. So please support your local restaurant. Just FYI I’m not a Tacoma local. I’m from Bama if that says anything.“
“First time here. Loved the food, wine and chatting with the owner. We managed to get a last minute reservation on a Saturday and so grateful we got to try it out. We arrived really hungry and ordered quite a few items on the menu. We started with the warmed cheese, then on to the flat bread pizza and French onion soup. Everything was delicious. Can't wait to go back!“
“SUCH A FUN ATMOSPHERE AND GREAT DRINKS! Our bartender/server was so helpful and so energetic! As a group of bartenders, we really loved his energy and banter. Wish we would have gotten his name, but if he sees this, thanks for making my rare brunch so fun!“
“Wonderful little place with reasonable prices, great food and cool ambiance. I come a lot and try different plates. Great French Dip, Oyster burger, burgers, chowder, chili, salads and much more. Pull tabs and sports on the tube. Full bar (no one under age tho). The train goes by at least every 30 minutes and the water is right outside the doors. People are friendly too.“
“I have never been Meconis before last weekend but I’ll be back. I went in with a large group on a busy weekend, which is enough to peeve any server. But our server Maya was AMAZING. She was so attentive, personable and genuine. She made our night!“
“We came here for brunch on my mother's birthday, and it was FAB-U-LOUS!Parking was a pain, admittedly, but that's a stadium district problem. As for Art House itself? Divine. We were seated quickly, served quickly, and satisfied quickly with friendly and informative servers with expedient and careful service. The atmosphere was fun and lively! With great window seating on a sunny downtown day.And the food? Oh my God it was wonderful! A touch pricier but worth twice it's cost in flavor, easily.I look forward to returning again in the future and trying more of their expansive, delicious menu in the future. And next time, I'll take the Link instead ?“
“Great place for dinner, they usually have a table for you so no wait time. The food is fantastic and Happy Hour menu is great! They have Trivia for the whole family every Wednesday!Kid-friendliness: Great open floor plan, plenty of room for larger groups. Very accommodating for familiesWheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking accessible and ramps“
“I was craving deep fried pickles, so i googled it and this place came up. Me and my wife sat at the bar, ordered our food to go and had a couple beers while we waited. The wait staff was super friendly and attentive to us even with a full saturday night crowd. When we got home, i regretted getting the "stupid hot" sauce on my wings because DAMN! Lol. I love spicy, and the name lives up the heat. Luckily, i also got some garlic parmesan wings that were delicious, the deep fried pickles and a side salad. We cant wait to come back and dine in.“
“Best consome in Tacoma and best barbacoa maybe anywhere. I was blown away by the quality, very authentic. That also means the habanero salsa is not playing games.Parking: Big parking lot with access from 3 roads.Kid-friendliness: High chairs and shareable portions for the littles.“
“Just found this gem today. Totally addicted to their glazed old fashioned donut. The service was exceptional. Family owned and SO many yummy items behind the glass. The young lady who served me was sweet and adorable. They have hot food, too. It smelled divine.“
“My husband and I ordered teriyaki and sweet and sour chicken and 2 orders of their $7.99 fish and chips (pollock fish, very good) and it was ready very quickly and it was absolutely amazing!! The lady at the counter was very nice and very friendly. The food was still hit when we got home too. Great little place with great food and employees. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants good hot food at great prices.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kid-friendly options. Multiple flavors of milkshakes. Yummy in my tummy good.“
“Shonna, our server, really went above and beyond to make our experience here memorable today (4/13/24). It was my mother's birthday and we had already had a late BBQ at our house and swung in for drinks before sending off family to the airport. We were self conscious to only order drinks during the dinner rush but Shonna made us feel very welcome and when she learned it was my mother's birthday she brought out a small cup of whip cream with a candle (knowing we were full and weren't interested in food). It was such a sweet gesture, and she even passed my mother a scratcher for fun which my mother won from! On top of all of that, we had a toddler and infant with us which is why we weren't in the bar, and she arrived at the table first thing with oyster crackers and water for our toddler. Super smart and helped keep my son occupied. It was so memorable and fun and we'll definitely be coming back more often. Shonna, thank you!“
“If you’re looking to bowl, mini golf, or have a drunken time playing arcade games this is your spot in T-town ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ be weary of times and days you may be swarmed with high schoolers but they are open late… NO longer 24 hrs.Kid-friendliness: Definitely Kid Friendly“
“I love Hop n Drops always have had a wonderful experience here, their service is quick and polite. Food is always delicious my favorite is the Chicken sandwich.Vegetarian options: Impossible Burger.Kid-friendliness: Coloring menus high chairs available and boosters.“
“This place blew my mind! The food was absolutely amazing. You can tell that it's hand-crafted with quality ingredients. The staff is top-teir, kind and helpful. If you are in this area looking for somewhere to eat, eat here! There is plenty of parking, and the atmosphere is very nice. 10/10!“
“This burger is the best classic burger I've had in Tacoma. I've tried quite a few different places and have been quite dissatisfied. Frisko Freeze is trash compared to Legendz. Highly suggest eating here. The wait is a lil long but I don't mind waiting because the food is pretty damn good.“
“Tim's Kitchen was a fun find! I came here with some people while we were near UW Tacoma campus for lunch. It was a Wednesday around 1:30pm and were seated right away. The servers were nice, attentive, and thorough. Our food was served promptly and tasted great! There was music playing, plenty of seating, and affordable drink prices. I would return if I was in the area again for sure.“
“Love this location pretty much been coming here all of my life, and they're recent service has been fantastic still. I had the Philly omelet which was a special a few weeks ago and it was incredible. Friendly staff and a comfortable quiet place to sit down at.“
“Went here a few days ago and it was great! Such great options for gluten free!! The burger and fries were so good! I can not wait to try the gluten free chicken strips! What a treat! My celiac daughter loved this place!Hope the dining in is open soon too!“
“*Update * I still like this place. But, I shan't order the Taco Salad at lunch. For $17 it was VERY small, albeit very tasty. Everyone else loved their food btw.Rock the Dock is on Dock St. It's right over the water. The food was good and the staff is friendly. We'll be back.“
“This bar is so fun!!! I loved the karaoke, there was a mix of good singers and fun songs!! The staff were fantastic, just really nice and easy going. Jeff served us and he was super on top of it and kept checking on us. Thomas was the same, very kind and attentive! Ava was taking care of karaoke and she was lovely and an amazing singer! The drinks were great and not overpriced. I got the hummus platter which was very good and fresh and I'd like to try more of their food. The vibe was amazing, I loved the camp theme because it was fun but still modern. Good group of people 20's-30's with good energy. I went on a Saturday night between 9p-1a and did not have trouble parking or finding a spot to sit, but there were still a fair amount of people. I will definitely be coming back!“
“The name of the place is slightly misleading. If you're from Hawaii expecting local grinds, there are only 1-2 items. The only thing Hawaii related in the restaurant that I could see was a HIC sticker on a surf board on one of the shelves up top.My wife got the loco moco and shared it with my son. I would recommend more gravy for sure, but otherwise it wasn't bad.i wanted the cowboy hash but they were out of some of the ingredients to make it so I got the regular corned beef hash instead. Honestly it wasn't the kind of corned beef hash I was expecting, but I liked it. My son also loved his hot chocolate. We most likely will go back another time, preferably not in the last couple of hours till their closing time. The thing that probably ruined the experience the most for me was when they started to clean, about 45 minutes before closing. In the large room to seat people they started mopping. The pinesol smell was so strong I had to step out, it made us so nauseous. We noticed the ladies sitting next to us couldn't even finish their food because of it. Please hold off on mopping until your customers have finished eating.“
“Great vibe, great music, great employees!!! And let's not talk about the food!!! My first time in, I had a Reuben with fries. 10, 10,10!!!! Alicia, Gina and Bruno the chef were amazing. I am a foodie am a tough critic. Thank you Bruno!!! I will be back and telling my friends. Congratulations Sean (sp) the owner, you have a gold mine!!“
“We all went out to supper and drinks together. With about eight or ten other people, it was rather quiet for a Friday night. The chicken is fantastic, and everyone relished their meal. With only a few tables, we would anticipate excellent service, which we got. There are pull tabs, video games, darts, and pool to name a few activities.“
“We stayed nearby at an airbnb and found U Betcha Pub charming. I would say it's a regular spot for locals but everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The food is really good, it's "bar food" but that's what we wanted. We had hamburgers and chicken burgers both were delicious and generous sized portions. Decent selection of IPA's on tap which my adult son enjoyed. I like a nice cocktail and the bartender didn't disappoint! There's just something about that sign that felt nostalgic, we had to try. We went back a 2nd time too. Also great music, and the jukebox is one you can do by your phone. I didn't know but my kid did. Again, give it a try, service is excellent, food is great, and other customers welcoming.“
“I love this place the servers are amazing ther service is really good.. the food is really good .... and also I like how the cooks also interact with ther servers and customers.. the one that got goes by old man is a nice guy helpfull as well ..“
“Really wonderful place for a date night. The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was amazing, and the ambiance of the restaurant was great. Would definitely come here again. I had the over the moon lasagna and my wife had the scallops. Both were excellent!“
