“Solid 4 across the board. I think you should support local, small, family run Mexican food establishments. But, I am trying to eat healthier and the way Chipotle lets you build your food item is appealing. Two entrées with chips and salsa and no drink was $30. The food was tasty and didn't give me heart burn.“
“Ethically sourced food at it best. Fresh, wholesome stuff across the ranges of products. The concept of an entire supermarket given over to sustainable and environmentally friendly consumables is wonderful. Love the salad bar, fish counter and the fresh fruit that looks real rather than grown in a plastic bag! It’s a real fight to restrain myself at the cake counter! It just seems a crying shame that the cost of such good produce is so much more than it should be!“
“10 stars!!!! This has to be the BEST authentic Restaurant in Tacoma and Seattle area! We came here on a Saturday night to celebrate my birthday with a few friends. When we arrived the place was packed! First thing you notice is the great ambiance. This place is clean and is decorated with bright happy colors. Everyone from the girl that was at the front to the waitstaff was very friendly and seemed like they loved being there. The prices here are super affordable and they have amazing options. We all ordered something different to drink and every single drink was spectacular! The beans and Guack appetizer was delicious. One couple at our table decided to share a burrito meal and the cook made them two smaller burritos(see picture) instead of giving them the one large burrito and having them cut it. We thought this was AMAZING that the cook thought about this. Never ever have we seen that before. EXTrA points!!! I had the flautas and trust me when I say...I'm still thinking about them now and wishing I had more! My husband had the birria tacos and loved every single bit. We all were amazed at the amazing food and flavors. Very authentic. Shout out to the cooks. You guys are killing it. The corn cake was also a huge win. I had been craving corn cake for a long time and this was the best I have ever had! This place overall would get alllll the stars! We all left talking about this place and how we have to come back soon. We all kept talking about what we would have next time. Oh and this place has a great birthday celebration that pretty unique and fun! It's a MUST try! We will be back. I'm amazed this place doesn't have people lining up outside! Give this place a try and I promise this place will not disappoint. Best restaurant we all have been to in Tacoma with prices you can't beat these days. Great job to every person that works here! You guys are doing it right. Don't change a thing. Bravo!!!! Perfecto.“
“Cactus was an amazing surprise! I come from Texas where the TexMex is abundant and I didn’t expect to find some familiar flavors up here in Washington! The spicy mango michelada was refreshing and the birria tacos and fajitas were great! Whenever I come back to visit, I’ll be sure to stop by Cactus!“
“Marcos is the best!!! Come here to eat please!!!!!! No please, do it mayne! ? it’s awesome. Great food and awesome drinks! If you don’t come here, you have emotional damage that hinders you from coming to an amazing place I’ll pray for you bro ?. Come through, I love it here. ??? shout out to Marcos! Great customer service! An awesome homie!“
“A must in PDC! Fun environment, not fancy at all so don’t worry about eating tacos and sweat at the same time. Super fast service with delicious food and fair prices. Too bad I found this place on my last day, otherwise, would definitely go back.“
“The only reason why this place was not getting 5 stars is because the chips and pico were absolutely disgusting, like we almost left. The pico was dry and flaky and very sour, and the chips were cold and overly fried.BUT my husband's burger was amazing, and those were the best shrimp tacos I've ever had!!The service was great. Our waitresses was very nice. She felt awful for the chips and compted us with some nice dessert. She really didn't have to do that, but it was a really nice surprise. She was awesome!“
“Always on point and delicious. What I recommend is the MALIBU PLATE. Once you try that it's gonna make you want to go back for more. I love how this place gives you 4 different salsas, grilled onions, fried peppers, and some potato wedges. It compliments everything well. Definitely go give them a try...it's my GO TO Taco Truck.“
“This is an order-at-the-counter place where a server brings your order to you. After asking for a recommendation, I ordered what turned out to be outstanding chilaquiles with asada - spicy, with quality ingredients and a generous portion - and I also enjoyed a delicious horchata. Definitely will be back. Highly recommend.“
“Our server was the best, funnest most delightful server we have had in quite a while! I asked her name and promptly forgot but she had dark hair with short bangs, a few tattoos. We always enjoy Matador but I wanted to specifically draw attention to this young lady for keeping hospitality alive and fun! Thank you!“
“Great food. I was challenged to describe authentic vs traditional. While this is fusion, I would not describe the food here as traditional. And that is exactly why it is really good! The chef takes care to make sure you're getting a dish they themselves would eat. You can taste it. The lumpia is probably the most consistent taste and bite I've had in lumpia probably ever. Is it traditional, not from what I've tasted, but this lumpia eats like a meal on its own. It's got a vinegar dip for it that compliments really well. I would go for just lumpia alone. The mole sauce is not not traditional, but it's a great blend of sweetness with an earthy flavor that really is great. Meat was tender in all dishes. The horchata was made in house which made for a nice touch. The fusion on Mexican style rice that had peas, corn and carrots. I'm sure the breakfast will be good and the hard alcohol drinks were decent. I would say this is a great spot to try. If they just put a giant picture of their art on the outside front of the building, this place would not probably be much of a secret for long. Side note, yes, service was slow, and the radio was choppy from the Wi-Fi connect . The layout of the place left a lot to be desired. Waitress was amazing. Very personal and enjoys the beers served and food here. Give her a raise.“
“This food is out of this world!!!I am SO grateful I stumbled upon it on my trip!!!Wowzers.I’ve eaten Mexican food all of my life, all over the world, and honestly this is absolutely some of the very best!!!Muchas gracias, Casa Moreno!!!Another amazing thing was that our food was ready in 5 min…which was so helpful since I’m traveling with my horse and need to be speedy!!!!I’ll definitely remember this place on our way back North!I didn’t give any stars on atmosphere since I didn’t eat there. I will say that it looks different now than in the pictures. I really liked the colors and decor in the photos…maybe they are in a remodel phase?“
“This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Gig Harbor. It's owned and operated by a local family. The food is delicious and portions are generous. We have frequented this restaurant regularly over the 20+years we've lived here. Excellent service too. We highly recommend El Pueblito.“
“We’re from Arizona and needed some good tacos. Took a chance on this truck, and it is legit! Our family of 4 was totally full with one pollo plate and 2 taco plates (10 street tacos total). Good food, very friendly service—give them a try!“
“My husband and I moved to Lakewood last year and this place was one of many that we’ve been wanting to try; I think it’s safe to say that they’re our new favorite place for Mexican food!I was unsure at first because their prices are so reasonable that I was thinking it must mean they’re lacking elsewhere , but I was wrong. They really do just serve insanely delicious food at a very affordable price.Staff was super friendly too. Everything was just too good to be true here, I can’t believe they even exist. Lol.“
“This is the best Mexican food I've had since we moved to Washington from Texas. Absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, the restaurant was very clean, and the service was wonderful. The atmosphere was great, too. We had the asada quesadilla and the Tacos Nopalitos.“
“Carne asada burrito, one of the best I've had, grown up n lived in east WA most my life where everyone thinks the Mexican food is superior to the west side, this place proves that's not the case, no chewy peices of asada in the whole burrito, tender n pretty large peices of asada with a touch of pink in the center, I was really impressed.“
“I got a breakfast burrito it was awesome my only complaint was that it took a while to get it but I wasn't mad because the lady was taking orders and cooking by herself and it still came out great. Manager needs to hire more help they have good food just the service is a bit slow.“
“Very authentic feel here and absolutely amazing value for money. The beans and rice were absolutely perfect and the fish taco/birria some of the best we have had in US. Service is also fast and excellent. They also have a salsa stand with a wide variety of toppings which comes in handy. Also generally large portion sizes so order accordingly!“
“My husband and I absolutely love this place. I always get the daily special. But we really like the breakfast burritos. The fresh Rojo salsa, is the best! On everything! Definitely recommend. ??Kid-friendliness: Great sticker and tattoo machines.“
“Very satisfied! The salsa was great, the food was sooo good, and the staff was amazing, Aby ;)! I'm hard to impress, and I got to tell you, I'm definitely coming back! My 4 year old couldn't stop eating the chips and salsa, he never does that!“
“We found this place quite by accident And found it to be the perfect little gem that we didn’t know about. The food is amazing. The young lady recommended a torta, and it was amazing and I highly recommend visiting this little restaurant.“
“On the section of Food, I wanted to give them a 4.5, but there are not half points. So I think it would be fair to give 5. Why the half point short? because they need to increase the number of options on the menu. For example, the sides and desserts. I ordered the octopus and my wife the scallops. With two sides (Rajas and Esquite), by the way. If you are not into spicy food, don't pick the first side.We went to the bar, great environment and music. The quality of the service is just excellent. It's one of our favorite restaurants now. I wouldn't recommend bringing kids here.“
“El Toro Mexican Restaurant & Cantina is an absolute gem! From the moment we stepped in, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. The ambiance was inviting, setting the perfect tone for our dining experience. And let's talk about the food – absolutely amazing! Each dish was bursting with flavor, showcasing the authentic taste of Mexico. From the sizzling fajitas to the mouthwatering enchiladas, every bite was a delight. Whether you're craving traditional Mexican cuisine or looking for a cozy spot to enjoy with friends and family, El Toro is the place to be. Five stars all around for this outstanding restaurant!“
“WOW!!! All I have to say is my boyfriend is Puerto Rican and he said the rice reminds him of how his grandma's used to taste. Their tacos are literally the BEST I have probably ever had in my life. Everything us SO flavorful and so fair priced! I've also had the wet burrito and had lunch for the next day...so good!!! 20/10!“
“The food is delicious! Not only that it's filling like they give you enough to actually feel like you've eaten. A nice setting clean environment. I recommend to anyone who loves Mexican food!Parking: There is plenty of parking sometimes it gets kind of hard to find it especially around rush hours“
“My best friend's wife recommended this restaurant to me. I was totally surprised by the size and selection of the menu. I decided to order the Burrito Tonala. It should've been called Burrito Grande. Half of it went home with me.The other three guests ordered Tilapia, enchiladas, and steak fajitas. .No complaints. The service was quick and accurate. I'll be back.Parking: Parking is not an issue.“
“Excellent food, with very rich flavor throughout. We were surprised by the fact that the meat was cooked on charcoal. We had not had to visit one that would provide that service. Highly recommended, really, very good menu, attention and again, excellent food.“
“Birrieria y Mariscos La Cocina offers a pleasant culinary surprise for those looking for an authentic gastronomic experience. We discovered this restaurant while going to the nearby movie theater and decided to try their carne asada tacos. We delight in the freshness and flavor of each bite. The atmosphere of the place is cozy and the service is attentive, which makes the experience even more pleasant. We plan to return to explore more menu options and discover more delicious creations this establishment has to offer. A highly recommended visit for lovers of traditional Mexican food. ? ?️“
“Best consome in Tacoma and best barbacoa maybe anywhere. I was blown away by the quality, very authentic. That also means the habanero salsa is not playing games.Parking: Big parking lot with access from 3 roads.Kid-friendliness: High chairs and shareable portions for the littles.“
“Handmade tortillas on the spot.Food is good, it gives me like a fast food Mexican restaurant, parking can be difficult, especially during lunch hours. They have a condiment bar with salsas and toppings to choose from, I recommend the pickled carrots.Kid-friendliness: Big and spacious dining area.“
“Uber eats MADE MY NIGHT! Pozole and Burrito plate. Veggies were fresh, Tortillas grilled before we ate them, salsa is SPICY with a lovely roasted flavor. Any place that sells cheek meat and goat meat has my vote. Best order out meal I've had in a while. Photos look average but taste is delicious. Beans and rice? Finger picking. Will order again.“
“Great Mexican food, we ordered take out and the had our order ready in 10minutes, exceptional service, the hostess was so nice. The food was fantastic, carne asada wasn't over cooked and they are generous with their protein sizes. Husband got the wet burrito, which was also good, we liked their steak a lot more though. I would go back anytime I'm in Tacoma.Parking: Easy parking, many empty lots around the restaurant as well as plenty of free street parking.“
“Birriera Tijuana Lakewood is the place to go if you’re looking for good Birriera. I love ordering their family size box, it comes with their cheesy Birreria tacos, Birreria fries, consome, and the world’s BEST churros. Our family loves to order out on the first Tuesday of the month when they have their awesome taco Tuesday special. Don’t sleep on their rice and beans, they’re the best I’ve ever eaten! Come support this local family owned business!“
“I ordered the Super Chicken Burrito that was stuffed full of chicken, rice, and beans. It also came with sour cream and guacamole. I loved it, but thought I would only eat half as it's almost too much for one meal. However, so so good I could not put it down until I finished! Stephen got the Regular Burrito with carnitas. He felt it was okay but said the pork was too dry. Probably seemed that way since he chose not to have salsa. It also was heavy on the whole beans so that was another factor for him. He prefers refried beans, but didn't see that as an option for mobile orders. I would think if you ate there you could get these two things the way you wanted. I will definitely be back and maybe eat in next time to try something else on the menu. I only gave 4-stars for service because the staff was clearly overwhelmed at dinner with a long wait at the counter. They really need to hire an extra person for the front end. Especially with having a drive thru and counter so busy.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair parking spot about 10 'from the front entrance and with a flat surface. Plenty of room to navigate in the restaurant.“
“This has been my favorite go to Mexican restaurant for the past four years ever since I worked at the neighboring hospital nearby. One of the nurses had told me to go here for lunch break because he can get authentic Mexican food. After that, I have not gone anywhere else. The burritos with the special hot sauce that they make in house are just amazing. The meat is cooked to perfection. All their food is piping hot and steaming. There are no old stuff over here. Beautiful presentation and deliciousVegetarian options: They’re quite a few good items that you can select for that are authentic and not compromisingDietary restrictions: When we tell them that I don’t eat pork, they are extra careful to make sure it’s a beef burrito onlyParking: That is a free parking lot over hereKid-friendliness: They have highchair for the kiddosWheelchair accessibility: The threshold for the front entrance door is easy for a wheelchair to navigate“
“First, I love that this place is quiet enough to have a conversation on a Friday night without shouting. The decor is also pretty chill.Second, the service was fast.Third, I love tamales, but they can sometimes be rather dry. I was pleasantly surprised by how juicy(for lack of a better word) my tamal was. The rice and salsa verde were also quite tasty.“
“One of the foodies that I follow recommend this place for their Carne Asada Potato. It looked good, so that's specifically what I went there for, and I enjoyed it. My wife got tacos and loved that as well, but then she had a bite of my potato and wished she had gotten that as well. My only complaint was the seats being slightly uncomfortable, it felt like the seat we sat at was about to collapse.“
“This is a sexy Mexican restaurant. The interior design is beautiful and thoughtfully planned. The carnitas and beef tacos were delicious. Tasty Margaritas and cold beer. There is a outdoor seating area and I cant wait till the weather warms up to sit outside and dine. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food.“
“Hidden gem for tacos. Had al pastor and carne asada. The asada is superb, wouldn't get the al pastor, wasn't bad but flavor isnt all there. I enjoyed eating here. The salsa makes it even better. They also have chicken soup on the weekends and pozole. They also sell bread, Mexican treats and other sweets. You just have to ask. Locally owned and small.“
“YUM. This is one of my favorite places around Enumclaw. The burritos are insanely huge, but they're amazing. We always eat our leftovers the next day. This place is a little hole in the wall, but it's totally worth checking it out!“
“I don't know if anyone would consider it authentic Mexican food, but it certainly is what I expect when I go out to eat Mexican food. We have been dining there a lot lately, and have had consistently good food and good service. The portions are very large. My wife and I often split the Trio Fajitas, and we get plenty of food and we both really enjoy it. They always keep us going with chips and salsa. The salsa is not that great, but that would be my only complaint. We recently ate at Cactus in Proctor, and felt like our food and service is so much better and much cheaper at El Toro. The portions are much larger and the food is much closer to what I expect when eating at a Mexican restaurant. The experience at Cactus certainly made us appreciate El Toro much more.Well done, El Toro! We look forward to dining there again soon!Vegetarian options: Not sure how many options there are for vegetarians, but my son gets their Cheese Enchiladas and rice and beans and loves it. Huge portion.“
“Wow! Amazing! I've been missing some real good, authentic, Mexican food since moving here from Southern AZ. This hit all the ✔️. We got the chicken tortilla soup and I swear it's the best I've ever had! The service was quick and Rosie was so welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be back!“
“I'd worked a little overtime at the hospital, and didn't want to cook. Hubby wanted Gyros and I wanted Mexican. Adela's had birria tacos on the menu, so I was down with that! Also got two pork tamales, and a Mango margarita. Thought I'd have leftovers. NOT! I ate both dishes, minus the garnishes and a bite or two for my hubby. The birria tacos were fantastic! The consomme really put that dish over the top. Thank you Adela's for a lovely dinner and drink for this tired RN!!“
“Anytime I get to order and speak in Spanish I am thrilled!! The #2 La Crazy Torta is like a kitchen sink torta. Everything is in that thing and it's huge! The sopes are amazing and could use lettuce on top so they brought me some! Carne asada gordita was on pointe. I don't like cilantro so it was easy to tell them to omit. They didn't have ice so we were talked into not having horchata or Jamaica. The green chile is awesome and it wasn't sweltering hot inside. I'm going to go back for a weenie torta and another mini sope with just beans cheese onion and lettuce. Can't go wrong there. Great food and amazing prices. Easy to park in front and just a great time!“
“Very crowded which sucks for the people waiting ?, but also the parking is very limited and dangerous. Not to mention for how expensive the food is it isn't all that great. The horchata drink and all the other beverage options are amazing, and on another hand very well made rice water ?. Wait times can belong depending what time of day you go. Overall, its not that bad of a spot to eat out but I wouldn't go there regularly unless it was just for their drink options.Parking: Their may be if I am remembering correctly, roughly 8-12 parking spots available and they're very tightly packed within each other.Kid-friendliness: Adults tend to be drunk or smoking ? or weed, so keep your kids close but other than that its fair to say its just like another Mexican Restaurant ?.Wheelchair accessibility: Its fairly wheelchair accessible other than the doors not being able to be push-pressed for automatic door entry.“
“I crave their quesatacos combo like a man starved for thirty days. I've never had a bad order from them, and even when I was an awful customer and ordered ten minutes before closing they got me some really good food without feeling the need to put rusty nails in the consome. Anyway, great job guys, I might be crazy enough to order again today.“
“I visited on a Friday for lunch. They have al pastor, carnitas, mole, fajita style and more. I had the carnitas and they were crispy and delicious. The tortillas, chips, salsas, all the food is fresh, the people warm and the place is relaxed. They have a small bar that has a great selection of tequilas and other drinks I look forward to trying another day.“
“This is a really tiny Mexican restaurant inside a mini mart. Cash only. It is also kinda pricey. $15-$20 dishes. I took out $40 at the ATM & it was just enough to cover 2 entrees & a beer. The food was incredible tho. Quite good. I would totally go back. Just gotta have more cash next time.“
“Hands-down, these people and this restaurant never give me nothing but the best service, the best food and the best atmosphere. if you've ever thought anything different you're totally wrong the pricing is great!!!!!! when I want great customer service and great food. This is where I go. This makes me miss El Paso Texas. I feel like they personally serve me every time I come. Antonio is the best. Come, check it out“
