“Arrived Friday morning for our 11:30am reservation and were seated soon after our arrival. Interior is clean and we were seated near the gas fireplace which was nice on a cold rainy day in March. Service was friendly and our server did a very good job anticipating our needs before asking such as refills on my Coke Zero – yes, they serve Coke Zero here!Wild Seafood Sampler served with three different sauces was good but quite pricey and in retrospect, we would have both been just as satisfied if we had just placed one order for the Wild Hand-cut Calamari and split it.The Wild Seafood Linguine Alfredo was served hot and was very rich and quite tasty; however, I was quite surprised to find it topped with wilted basil leaves that were obviously not fresh. The Wild Alaskan Halibut with mushroom risotto was also tasty; however, again we should have just ordered one of these Lunch Entrees and would have been quite satisfied.With tip, our $151 lunch for two with just one beer and a coke zero was quite pricey but both the service and food were very good. “Very short staffed due to a family emergency. We waited one hour for our first cocktail. I felt sorry for them. The food was very good but it took so long for everything. The waitress kept apologizing but once she told us there was a family emergency then we knew what was causing all of the delays.  My only complaint about the food is at the menu said the item came with rice, but instead it came with a large amount of pasta, and I am gluten intolerant, and they don't serve gluten-free pasta. Otherwise, I would not have ordered it. The salmon was excellent.“

“I wish I would have taken photos! We ordered pickup and when we went in it was such a cool place! Such an awesome idea. We have had a hard time finding a really good burger especially since we’re super picky but after walking by it a few days ago and seeing how fun it looked I decided to try. My hubby ordered the pepper jack burger and I ordered the lamb. We were surprised how hefty it was when we took the burgers out and everything looked so fresh. The cheese was perfectly melted into the patty of the pepper jack burger and the patty’s were really good size. I was surprised how great the lamb burger was. I’ve had a few but this one was super flavorful and even a bit spicy. It is a place I’ll definitely be taking my son since the first two tables have large screens with two controllers so you can actually play different games. It is definitely a great place to try!“

“Pretty cool place. It was much larger than I expected. We called ahead with reservations and asked for a table for our group of 4. Most of the dining room has booths, except the bar area where there are high top tables. The menu has excellent choices for seafood and nonseafood items. You can purchase by the lb if you choose. I had the new menu item, Ribeye, and it was cooked perfectly rare. You are allowed up to 2 side items with the meal. The seafood meal selections are great priced for the amount of food you get. However, be prepared to spend some money! The prices are good for what you get, but are not cheap. So don't go into this place thinking you are going to get a cheap meal. You are getting fair market value! Waitstaff was great and super attentive.“

Shout out to our host, Yung, who made our dining experience even more enjoyable. I also want to acknowledge the Chef's and their food preparation. Our seafood boils & fried dishes were nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our meals were brought out 15 to 20mins after ordering. Not bad since it was starting to get busy. Our orders were served warm, and the catfish, hush puppies, fries & shrimp were well prepared. The shrimp practically melted in my mouth. Our Shrimp Boil & beginners Seafood Boil was also a highlight. In closing, CKCB holds its own against all the other "Creole, Cajun, Crawfish Boil" restaurants. It did not disappoint.FOOD WE ORDERED: I had the Broiled Halibut Sandwich, friends got Fish and Chips, Shrimp Croissant sandwich, and the Paella (curried!) and we all LOVED it. We also shared an order of calamari and it was so...delicate? Unbelievable. The food was extremely fresh and the fries especially could breathe life into the dead, I swear. So crispy and fluffy and perfectly seasoned at the same time.ATMOSPHERE/SERVICE: The woman who took our order told us it was her and her husband that worked there together and it was a family-owned operation. She was so friendly and inquired about us as well. There was also some Caribbean music playing which was such a vibe and the couple were from Trinidad and Tobago so the whole experience from the food to the service to the atmosphere was just incredibly welcoming and wholesome.OVERALL: My friends and I were in town for a festival and we all marveled at how LIFE-GIVING their food would be at any concert venue, especially those fries. “A friend recommended La Perla Del Mar so we decided to stop when we were nearby. It’s a very casual place. We received menus in Spanish at first but the waitress quickly replaced them with menus in English. We didn’t ask for them, so maybe she saw us struggling. The food was delicious and the portions were large. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The music was great too. This is a great place to go when you’re not looking for anything fancy but you want authentic Mexican seafood and friendly service. “There is no great Chinese food in Olympia so I drive up to Tacoma Szechuan. Great food here. I love the Dan Dan noodles (with the hand cut noodles). I always order dry cooked green beans. I don't know how they get them so tasty but I love them. The spicy Ma Po Tofu is so good. The twice cooked pork belly is great. I even love the Chow Fun. I hear that you can get a great Hot Pot there. I have to try it sometime.“
