“I am reluctant to rate the atmosphere as St. Barbra's does not accommodate seated patrons. However, I can say their staff make your experience incredibly welcoming, and all staff are friendly, kind, and helpful. Their food overall hits the spot. It's very delicious, satisfying, and budget friendly for college students and households on fixed incomes. A great homage to Filipino culture. #applause“
“I absolutely love this place! Any time they have the biscuits and gravy special I order brunch every Sunday it’s available! My family loves the tosilog and honestly you can order anything and I guarantee it’ll be delicious. The staff are so friendly and I just love this place! Can’t recommend it more!!“
“We absolutely loved this spot. The Amboy burger was something special in its simplicity and flavor. The battered fries are THE best kind— potato-y but crispy, you know the ones. The lumpia is great and crispy— get a large, you won’t regret it! And the pancit canton (pictured, albeit poorly) is wonderfully ginger-y and delicious. They had a special Mochi donut tonight that was also so deliciously chewy + flavorful. And to boot, the folks working there are so friendly and fantastic. Don’t skip this spot!“
“Can’t hate on a busy business with a good atmosphere, great food, and quality service. This new location was very busy but they got our food out in under fifteen minutes. Line was to the door. I will be recommending this place to all of my friends.“
“Was beyond impressed with the impeccable experience at Magna Kusina. I brought my mom and aunt for my mom's birthday dinner. Every point of communication was flawless and genuine. We had Megan as our server and she was the sweetest, most hospitable and had a great working knowledge of Filipino food. My family is Filipino and can be fussy about hospitality and food and she exceeded anything I could have imagined. I didn't realize MK was a James Beard award winner and I can see it after visiting. We even had a gentleman help us with t-shirts, and just the sweetest. It's such a warm and charming atmosphere and you feel nothing but amazing personalities during the visit. The fresh lumpia was my favorite dish hitting so many bright notes. We tried a little of everything and while different than many of our family recipes, everything was well thought out and delectable! I was afraid to try the bibingka, because I love my grandmother's recipe so much, but it was next level yummy! Such a special restaurant that created so many great memories for my family. Thank you MK!!!!“
“Our family celebrated a birthday at this cozy, family restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes and loved all of them. The place is spotlessly clean, owners friendly. Part our family is from the Philipines and they loved the food. A taste of real home. Recommend!“
“Comfort food. Flavor bombs in every bite. Growing up as a kid it was always a disappointment going to a restaurant and the food isnt as good as what you get at home when your Asian. This place is like going home to my dad cooking dinner or visiting an auntie who says i love you by making all your favorite foods. Staff is friendly. Bathroom is always clean.“
“I ordered togo: shanghai rolls, mami chckn noodle soup, garlic rice, longsilog, adobo pork. excellent food. Adobo pork is a sm portion but very tender - good garlic rice, really tasty Longanisa sauage! I didnt finish everything but have leftovers for a few more days. My 2nd Filipino food in Portland and a touch far from me but on my food radar!“
“ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUSMy Wife is Filipino and I’m Mexican. We stubbled upon it in search of Mexican Food. I have to say we completely fell in love with the atmosphere right away. Heavily inspired Mexican/Filipino decor and culture. The Service absolutely amazing. The Waitress very friendly and outgoing. She makes you feel welcoming between the 2 cultures. The Food is 10/10. I would 100% recommend give them a try you won’t regret it. It’s rare to find a Filipino/Mexican cuisine in Vancouver. FILIPINO/MEXICAN APPROVED“
