“I was waiting for my truck to be serviced and I found this little spot. The atmosphere was nice and the food was delicious. I had the meatloaf sandwich with fries and their chowder soup. Mars served me and she was very nice. I will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks!“
“I went to this place for me and my partners anniversary. I have never been and neither had he. The experience was top notch! I came in and the waiter said he was going to change my life and he did just that. I also had a gift card that had a generous balance and I was so impressed with the service and food that I was embarrassed to use it so I paid out of my own pocket. Best tapas in Portland hands down! My partner usually is the one who picks places because I’m bad at it and he was also incredibly impressed with me and my choice to try Urdaneta!“
“Best sushi in Portland hands down. Fish quality and selection is always 10/10. Chefs are the real deal and are so fun to watch (highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar).Dietary restrictions: They always ask you as soon as you walk in whether you have any restrictions.“
“Update:Everything is still amazing. Happy hour until 5pm even on weekends. We enjoyed every dish - especially liked the grilled octopus. The farmers salad was really good too - I usually don’t like goat cheese but their salad blends so well and the goat cheese is not gamey only creamy.2023:Nice seafood tapas place and great happy hour before 5pm. Especially liked the shrimp ceviche“
“I mean wow, so good. So incredibly good! I didn't realize that Plumb is the kitchen located inside of the bar (Deadshot). It was my first time experiencing something like this (maybe I need to get out more) and it was incredible. The food is made to order so patience is key but luckily theres an amazing bar with handcrafted cocktails to enjoy while you wait. We arrived right at 4pm on Saturday evening and were promptly greeted and seated. We opted for a seat right at the bar. I ordered a red wine and my husband ordered a Deadshot. Then we placed our food order. We ordered the cesar salad, grilled cabbage, burger and steak frites and everything was so incredibly good. Fresh, decadent, perfectly cooked and ever so tasty. Of the items we tried, the cabbage dish was our favorite. I've never had cabbage with bechamel, apples and hazelnuts. It was simply divine! Highly recommend checking this place out!“
“Was in town for a few days and came in for lunch. First time at this spot though I've been to Han Oak before. Lunch was really excellent. I went with the Ban Chan side dishes, a dol sot bowl of rice, and split the Korean fried chicken with one wing of each flavor (essence of ramen and sweet and spicy) The ban chan was quite good, especially the marinated spinach. The wings were also excellent. Beautiful crunch and flavor. One order plus the sides was enough for lunch (for me, at least). My only disappointment was the dol sot rice. It wasn't actually dol sot. There was no fried crunch on the bottom, probably because it wasn't actually cooked in this pot. Just served that way. Felt a little unnecessary. Just a side of rice will do. Service was excellent. Sat at the bar and my bartender was kind and sweet. Was lovely to be back in PDX. Will come back for lunch next time I return.“
“Me and my five friends went for the first time to get drinks and some food to share. We made a reservation and came right at opening (4:15 ish), we all got a fun shot I had the peach tea one that was super yummy, we also tried their Jell-O shots and pudding shots. I got the "bounce bounce" mixed drink that was super good and refreshing. We got a wide variety of apps all pleasantly surprised me, my favs were the potato wedges and the carrots with hummus. Overall Daniel took great care of us and I'd return & recommend!“
“The cocktails and food are definitely worth the journey, but it’s the atmosphere and attention to detail that make Bellwether shine. Has the feel of a French-inspired saloon at the turn of the last century,or something straight out of Paris itself.“
“Great food! Amazing accommodations, very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable staff who worked with my wife to ensure she had a meal with no allergies. The owner came to the table and met with us. She made up a menu ahead of our arrival so we knew what food items were safe, and checked up on us frequently. The waitress was very sincere and helped my grandparents with their orders. Cost was very family friendly, delicious absolutely delicious food! 10 STARS!!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ -Nate & ReeAnn Leslie“
“Portland has fewer restaurants specializing in Spanish cuisine than it used to a few years ago. Bar Casa Vale does a great job of preparing many of my favorite dishes from Spain, including octopus and paella. Friendly, professional service and a creative cocktail menu too.“
“Some friends took us for Father's day around noon, not crowded as the big breakfast crowd had left. Wonderful service. The food was incredible! We tried the empanada plate that had a variety - each yummy. It's a combo of Peruvian and Colombian food - my dish, the sopa de costillo was beyond delicious. Small place, has some outdoor dining with heat lamps which came in handy as it started to pour rain and we were warm and dry, slurping every last sip of that soup! Highly recommend.“
“Everything it has a cozy feeling. I love the decor. Also our waiter was very nice and friendly. I don’t live in Portland, but when I visit again I will definitely come back. My dinner was delicious. My daughter who lives in Portland suggested this restaurant.“
“The BEST Mediterranean restaurant in PDX! I’ve searched for authentic taste like this high and low, but only at Zula I was able to enjoy fresh and delicious meal. Will be coming back for more with my family . Their humus is on another level.“
“Had to flag a waiter down multiple times to order drinks then food then another drink and finally bill. Each time I had to wave my hand and call out loudly Excuse me, as waiters walked by avoiding eye contact with at least our corner of the bar. Food was good.“
“Super impressed, everything was great! Did the family style bird and a bunch of veggie sides and every bite was flavorful and cooked perfect. Everything came out super fast and was nice and hot! Classic margarita was good too. Service is order at the counter and bus your own table.“
“Quaint spot in NW portland. The atmosphere was intimate and mellow, but with a great playlist to make it both perfect for a date, or a chill Sunday night with friends. The cute bartender makes phenomenal craft cocktails and was really funny and personable. And to add the fun experience, we found a Photo Booth! All around, great service, great vibes , I will definitely be back again. The ONLY thing I would say is, I just wish they carried Hendricks gin. But the vibe was so great, I was happy to go with the bartenders suggestion. Go to Below by Botanist, you won’t be disappointed!“
“Really funky and cool spot. A place to " be"yeah... kinda-but yet feel welcome! If you haven't been there -"Go!"-And if you have been there, then you know why you want to go back!Fun,cool, friendly... worth the trip!“
“This place had the best Combo Vermicelli Bowl, the combination is great, the favor is good, and all ingredients are fresh. My wife preferred the Pho to be a bit hotter (steamier). The place is a bit trendy look compared to traditional Viet places. Definitely will go back when I visit Portland next time“
“What a lovely establishment with beautiful details and a welcoming and inviting vibe. From the chocolates on the counter to the carefully chosen tins of fish, to the friendly bartender and the delightful rose. Bar Botellon is a gem, where they really make you feel like you're the only customer in the place. This is my new favorite stop for a glass of wine and some delicious handmade tapas (try the marinated cheese and the sardines!!!!!!) I will be back!“
“I was really early for a flight as the airport wasn't as busy as I thought it would be, so I decided to have a nibble. I tried their arugula salad and added Avocado to the mix. (The avocado was not a very Generous amount, and the pieces were quite Small, but it added a nice flavor. It came with a lemon vinaigrette dressing which could have used a little more zing, But Was good, Parmesan cheese. Overall the salad was refreshing and good. The wine selection is nice But very much on the spendy side. The bartender was super sweet and friendly, and provided just the right amount of Follow up. It gave me a nice quiet in the storm moment, and that's worth the price when traveling I suppose. I'll definitely stop in again.“
“I've been here 4 times and it's always very enjoyable. The downstairs dining room is smaller, so I'd suggest making a reservation as it's where all the atmosphere is at. I ate upstairs once - the atmosphere is definitely not as cool up there BUT you can rent it for events, which is cool. The drinks are great and the food good.“
“I really liked this place. I really like it. However some of the spices are a little acquired and not always what you'll get when you're looking for Thai food, but in the end, I think that's OK and that that is also cool and what makes them unique. The ambience is nice, my friend really liked the touch of the hanging wisteria. Extra points because the space was open late. It was open past 11, so I was able to get there and dine late after an event. The service was good from both persons there. Solid 4.7 in my opinion. Which I think is quite good.“
“The interior of this restaurant is super cute but very small. Not ideal for large groups but we made it work for my friends birthday. We admired the Himalayan sea salt covered pillar all night. I ordered the passion fruit margarita, it tasted mainly like a tangy juice. I wouldn't order it again, but nice to try something new. For food we ordered calamari, it was battered to have a great crunch and the lemon juice made it extra yummy. The service was great and fast, we came in a very large group so they handled everyone in a timely manner.“
“First time in Portland and the Hyatt House was an excellent choice of hotel for me.The location by the River was relaxing, as well as, the well maintained pool. Very friendly and helpful staff, this hotel has it all, a nice hot breakfast, a Bar, a pool and is in a great location. Would stay again!“
“Super nice staff and good drinks. They had a low-key, relaxed vibe that suited the setting. The bartender our night was a little bit too aggressive soliciting tips. When the couple beside us left, he loudly complained to the other bar patrons that they had only left a 20% tip, and that a 25-30% tip was more common in Portland.“
“Came in after spending 7 weeks in the woods eating self made stews out of a pot. (I’m a really good cook so it’s better than that sounds)This was my first meal back in civilization and my wife and I chose their 10 coarse chefs choice. WE CHOSE WISELY.Sat at their bar facing the kitchen and I couldn’t have had a better dining experience. Very recommended.“
“The place is one of the best sushi spots in the area. Huge sake barrels from above really enhanced the atmosphere. Service was amazing compared to other restaurants.Sushi was incredible, fresh, and presented well. The flavor was amazing, and everything complimented each other nicely.Parking: Parking around the area was decent since you had to park on the surrounding streetsKid-friendliness: There are some choices on the menu that kids will enjoy, and the environment is very kid-friendly“
“I can't assess what is authentic Thai and what isn't.But this felt much more authentic than cookie-cutter Thai restaurants. The food was good! Not mind blowing, not my favorite Thai in Portland. Definitely worth trying if you like Thai food, and are used to the standard Thai restaurants with 90% same menus across the nation.Separate from the food- our waiter was fun, interactive, but at times ... too open? with his interactions with us.“
“We found this place on google maps and had no idea what to expect when it said “TexMex”The food was very high quality. Rich bold flavors, perfect sized proportions, and excellent service. The food was typical American fine dining in a casual atmosphere, very Portland. I couldn’t figure out what made it TexMex other than the Texas flag on the wall, then I realized most dishes had jalapeños, cilantro, lime, or chimichurri. The flavors were bold, but never overpowering. There was spice, but nothing was hot or particularly spicy.I am hesitant to try new places and we got very lucky. We will definitely eat here again.“
“Joanna was a great hostess and the food was excellent! ~ 35 minute wait for 6 at prime time on a Saturday didn’t feel bad. Convenient parking… good selection of gluten free options too.Dietary restrictions: Good variety of GF and Vegan optionsParking: Convenient parking garage across the street.Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome!“
“First time walking through rather than past the door of R&R tonight, and what an absolute treat! Small, but well formed bar with a great drinks menu, and super friendly staff. Will check out the food next time (there will most definitely be a next time). The resident(?)/guest(?) DJ was on fire, and we could have so easily spent the rest of our evening enjoying the whole R&R vibe, had we not had dinner plans. A real NW treasure, and the new #1 in our local bar hit list.“
“Love the fire pit outside. Good selection of tap beer but there's also a cooler full of cans and bottles you can purchase to-go or open to consume on site for the price of the can plus $2 corkage fee. I was lucky enough to find a smoked helles from Wayfinder. I have not eaten the food but there is a limited food menu. Street side parking available.“
