“This is my favorite restaurant! I love the home-cooked food, the pie, and fresh squeezed orange juice. Whenever I have family and friends visit, I take them there. Serving breakfast until 2pm is great so we don’t miss all of our breakfast favorites, especially the cheesy hash brown casserole.”

“Ate here Friday evening for our Anniversary Dinner. Table was ready and waiting for us. Service was great, atmosphere wonderful with dimmed lighting and candles on the tables. The food was 👌, no complaints. So good! The drinks were delicious. Recommend the maple old fashion. They have the drink recipes in bags for purchase as well. We took home the maple old fashioned bag and made them last night.”

“I was very disappointed in the fish sandwich I ordered last night. The bottom of the bun was so soggy it fell apart and was unable to be eaten. The fish it's self was cold. Not a good experience. I wish I had taken a picture.”

“Great little blue collar bar! Laura was our tender/cook and she did an awesome job... an EXCELLENT tender.
My only downside is the base box attached to the juke box, you don't hear the music here, you FEEL it. Perhaps they have a younger crowd and that's what they want so who am I to complain, lol. I'm 55 and used to own a tavern.
If I ever bought a bar again I'd certainly try to hire that tender Laura, and if her bosses read this she deserves every penny your paying her an then some! (Laura, I know I botched the spelling of your name here, sorry lol. was it Lora?)

“We visited this location during a Friday night dinner rush on 7/19. It was quite busy and the staff was busting their backs to keep up. Although it was so busy it was hard for them to keep up (I’ve def seen way more staff in busy locations like this one so maybe something to consider) they all seemed to keep a smile on their face and were very polite. The variety of pizza was lacking due to so many customer orders on the bar. I think pizza ranch needs to address their special orders policy during such busy hours (maybe limit it if possible). Anyways overall good experience!”

“Hands down, best kept secret in the Baraboo / Dells area. The food is always incredible and has great portions. Salads and bread service come with each meal— salads are always very fresh and bread is addicting! My husband always opts for the 10oz filet and gets it blue cheese encrusted, while I like to try the chef’s specials. Both of which, we have never been disappointed with! The prices are extremely fair for the quality and portions. And, because it is such a best kept secret (for now) we’ve never encountered a wait to be seated.”

“Our experience with bartender **Chris on 11/26** was an easy **5/5**. His drinks were spot-on and his attitude made the whole night better.

The next day (**Thanksgiving**), we knew he wasn’t working, but we were told his coworker would be “just as cool.” Sorry, but absolutely not. Please don’t compare yourself to someone if you’re not bringing the same energy. The customer service was disappointing—zero personality, eye rolls every time we ordered, and overall an unwelcoming attitude.

Chris set the bar high, but the follow-up experience really missed the mark.”

“Wonderful Friday night fish fry. Excellent salad bar, full service bar, friendly staff, generous portions of blue gill and perch and the full rack of ribs was done to perfection! The view over the Baraboo Golf Course is topping on the cake! One note... if you want to eat on a Friday night you'll need a reservation!!”

“Two guys running the place the evening I was there and both very friendly and accommodating and although they did start making the wrong pizza because the name of the pizza was very similar to another one but they immediately offered to make me the right one. And offered to let me have an additional topping with a coupon I had which they certainly did not have to do. But that was just a very nice added bonus. Very cheesy and delicious. I never had a pizza there I didn't like. And the big bonus for some of us people is that they do take food stamps! That's a big bonus, especially for people who are really just scraping by! Wish I knew I was going to be making this review. I would have taken pictures”

“Our group was welcomed by the family and 5aken on a hay ride tour of the farm. The dnner buffet was adequate but not impressive. Barbecue was good, but the serving was small. Sides included green beans, cole slaw and salad. After dinner the band provided about an hour of opry-style music. Audience members were invited to the stage to participate. On the whole, it was a fun evening.”

“We come to Jose’s every time I’m up here in Baraboo. Sometimes more than once in a weekend. The manager Maria is the best. She always makes sure to say hello and make sure your food is good. Andrea is also on the top of our list of favorite waitresses. We go to their trucks to eat and the Jose’s in hochunk is the best. Highly recommend.”

Service was fast friendly and efficient.
