“The Bar was formerly called M&J's. It is exactly what a small neighborhood bar should be. It's always fun. There is plenty of room to sit at the bar. There are plenty of TV's to watch The Badgers and other things. The food is great. The pizzas are always a good choice. There are also daily drink and food specials. The bartenders are always fun and the service is top notch. This is our favorite place in Brodhead.”

“If you are a Harry Potter fan you'll enjoy the view. If you love pizza you'll enjoy the food. We spent the day outside in the sun and we're very hungry. Ordered two pizzas, I think they were 18" or 20" . OMG they were huge! And looked amazing! Go try the out!”

“We went on Friday night for fish. It was very good. When we arrived around 6pm, the entire place was busy. There was a large party of about 20 and almost all the tables along the sides were full. This is what I remember. Food and Service were great.”

“I work 2nd shift in town. I never get my lunch at the same time. I almost every time walk in to this Subway about 10 or less minutes before close. The night employees are always absolutely welcoming and kind with a huge smile an they enjoy chatting. Not what you would get at most food establishments at almost close time. “It's McDonalds. I've been eating double cheeseburgers for over 50 years. I remember the invention of the BigMac and the replacement of the double cheeseburger with the quarter pounder with cheese. Fries? Still one of the best if they're HOT.
Consistent? No matter where you go in the country, you can expect the same all beef double stack (held together with 2 slices of melted american cheese), fried onions, mustard and ketchup on a toasted bun. Throw in an order of fries (make sure they’re right out of the frier) and a frozen coke and I'm one happy camper.”

Many won't understand why I gave this place 5 stars....With that being said...You will have to decide....The reason I give it 5 stars is bc I live in this town....but never went to the bars here to drink. I no longer drink but I take my friends to this bar bc to me it's friendly. Salt of the earth people in this town...me included..LOL. It might not seem like they are friendly bc its a small town and you kbow the rest. Drinking a social lubricant...foes just that....people open up when they drink..so just strike up a conversation with anyone....you will be pleasantly surprised!! In the summer all of Albany is buzzing and teaming with tubers and travelers!! This is the most chill bar in town...as far as a know. Bc the people who work there are cool af!! But hey..my opinion only...it might not be your jam...there are 3 other bars to go to!! Lol or back to your campsite.....wink wink...Enjoy it for its small town charm!! “I have been to Knute's before and know the food is really good, so when I happened across the name when I was planning a catered Thanksgiving meal for my work in Monroe, I thought I'd give them a call and just check if it was something they do. Well, they do. And they do it incredibly well. It was for about 100 people total, but needed to be served hot for three different shifts. They were just fantastic to work with on coordinating the meal and when the day came, the service and set up was completely seamless and totally hands off for me (which was a first!) and the food was just stellar. I HIGHLY recommend them for any catering needs, or if you are in their neighborhood and need a bite to eat!”

“What a turnaround for this business. Subway is one of my favorite chain restaurants and I especially loved this one when it was the two older ladies mainly behind the counter. After a change of management, they started hiring high schoolers that did not care about quality as much and it led to a downward turn. Eventually I couldn't stand the quality of service and ingredients so I stopped going. I was really sad for a few months while it closed down, especially since I work so close by, but now that they have reopened I decided to give them another shot. WOW. What an improvement. Corporate subway, pay attention because this is how you run one of those places. I only ever see two employees in there, which is actually a good thing especially in a small town. After only going in twice the guys recognize me and know me by name, and even know my usual order. I also prefer the idea of two main people because rather than this being just a simple part time gig for high schoolers who dont care, its become a 9-5 that supports two people (hopefully with good benefits). Although this may be more expensive for them in the end, I believe it will have a great payoff and produces employees who care more for both the business and customers in the long run, overall increasing the number of repeat customers. I've also noticed these two actually care about ingredient quality. Lettuce is always crisp, tomatoes don't ever look dilapidated like they used to before the shut down, its just a complete different atmosphere than a few months ago. Every time I have been in the store it has been clean as a whistle with even the drink fountain area spick and span. I noticed in previous reviews people mentioned a lack of professionalism with the previous high school kids, and I can assure you I have never experienced that in any way from the two guys I always see behind the counter now. I truly wish I knew their names so they could be recognized. To anyone who was turned off earlier this year by this subway, I highly urge you to reconsider them as a lunch spot in this small town, I feel these two have earned it for their hard work and dedication.”
