“It was our first time at Sammy’s. Hubby and I wanted something quick and simple and affordable. I had always wanted to stop for the salad buffet. We ordered the lunch special which is the personal pizza and salad bar. The salad bar was good but if I had my way, I wish it had greens and not shredded iceberg. I’d pay a dollar or two more for that. 😂 But it was still good and fresh. The waitress was SUUUUPPPEERR friendly. I asked her recommendation for pizza and she said the primo which is what I ordered. It did not disappoint! What I noticed immediately that it was REAL sausage chunks. Not the cheap pellets you sometimes see. Also I saw that there was sausage evenly distributed to ensure you get a piece of meat at every bite. Most places don’t do that and it drives me nuts. The crust was thin and crunchy which I loved. There was a good sauce to cheese ratio. If you want something affordable, stop at this great mom n pop restaurant. They even have take home frozen pizzas. No cardboard pizzas here. We will be regular customers when we crave pizza. Yumm!”

“Growler Guys is an Eau Claire fixture. When I lived in Eau Claire, this was my regular hang out and I met the love of my life here (no guarantees - but give it a try!) The owner is a stand up guy and the staff really cares about customer experience. It’s a true community spot and even on days off as a busy resident physician, I found myself volunteering for the community events (Mother’s day, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc.) If you are young/new parents, you and your children are so welcome! If you’re single or childless and just want to meet new friends, don’t think twice. For those who limit or don’t drink alcohol, there are plenty of alternatives. This was the first place I ever visited when I moved to Eau Claire (peri-pandemic) and the last place I bid farewell to when I moved. It will always have a special place in my heart. Run, don’t walk folks!”

“My husband and I both got smash burgers based on reviews. The burgers were both good but so small. Usually when we get burgers elsewhere, we each leave with half leftover because we are so full. We left here still hungry! Definitely worth upgrading to double smash burgers. $16 for a single smash burger is high considering you can get quite large double smash burgers at the district for the same price. The fries were not good. Very salty. And the chips had no flavor. But I will say I was pleasantly surprised when I got the bill and didn’t see an upcharge for adding lettuce, pickles, and mayo to my burger. Most places will penny pinch wherever they can so I really appreciated that these items were not an upcharge. I also love that they use fresh mushrooms and not canned! We are willing to try this place again!”

Boyfriend said the cod bites were delicious. The staff was happy to serve us and cook our first meal of the day even though it was 730pm. On a Friday evening a few weeks ago, my children and I were about to leave a nearby restaurant on our bikes when my 8-year-old daughter fell, hurting her leg. We weren't even customers, but she had spotted us through the drive-thru window and wanted to help. “Alright here’s the deal. This place is incredible. If you haven’t made it here yet, carve out time in your week to get here and try one of the many unique and distinct dishes served here.

I got their spicy duck entree. It is stir fried with onions, bamboo shoots, basil, and scallions. It is at a medium heat. It will absolutely activate your nose. But it’s not overly hot.

The flavors of all their food are a solid punch in the face with their boldness. Incredible delicious food in every way. I tried their spicy duck, pad kee mao as well as their red curry chef special. This is an establishment that is well versed in flavor.

Their interior is furnished but not overly nice, and the music doesn’t really set a quiet mood. The interior has the potential to be a little noisy, we only had 2 other groups inside and it was pretty loud.

“Thank you to the amazing staff at Culver’s tonight!!! I went through the drive-up and ordered my food and realized I didn’t have my wallet. I asked the employee at the window if he could put my order on hold while I ran home and got it. He told me “No”. He grabbed one of his coworkers and they told me not to worry about it. I offered to call with my card when I got home or to come pay for it tomorrow and they told me they were taking care of it! Being the crazy world it is right now, they were wearing masks so I couldn’t see their faces to remember who they were... but I saw the kindness they showed me and that is something I will remember! 🥰”

“I've never had a good experience at this restaurant. haven't been here in years. I decided to swing in for a quick salad after my workout. I got there at 12:50 PM on a Tuesday. I was able to order right away, I didn't order a beverage. At 1:00 the couple behind me sat down, at 1:05 the couple behind me ordered. At 1:10 the couple behind me got their order(S) I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and was solo. I had other oligations going on I had to get to, I figured it wouldn't take that long for a chicken salad. As I got to the festival foods doors, The manager came out of famous Dave's and yelled, "Don't you want your food?" 😂 ....Yeah I sure did but not 40 minutes later sorry not sorry. Thanks for nothing!”

“Do you like chicken? Do you like cooked vegetables? Do you want someone quicker and more skilled at putting food in a take out container than you? Please come here! They can often have long lines and it looks like it’s only the elderly couple who run it, but don’t let that that dismay you from getting your fill! They’ll work through that line real fast and before you know it, they’ve pushed you out with a whole take out with egg fried rice, plenty of chicken, and mixed cooked veggies! They have a good selection with clear labels to indicate what it is. Check the menu board up above for the 3 size options while in line, and then pick whatever you want out. It is likely that’ll have left overs afterwards.”

“Awesome bar that has completely outlived its longtime reputation as a trouble spot. I started hanging out there about 10 years ago because I could always find a good pool game. Before I actually went there, I had always heard about Bullpen's rough reputation. Much better bar and crowd than I anticipated. Still, it was a little rough for my taste. Especially on Friday & Saturday nights. Over the past 6 or 7 years, Bullpen has completely transformed that image from olden days. This is now the only bar that I frequent. Ping & Michelle; the owners; are fantastic people who care about their customers & employees like family. I am proud to say that they are now close personal friends of mine. Drinks are the best value in town. The crowd that hangs out there is diverse and some of the best friends I have ever known. Always a diverse selection of sports on the multiple big screens. Always great music being played by a customer base that knows their music. Finally, my main motivation for going there. hands down the best pool tables in Eau Claire. Well maintained tables and a variety of pool tournaments throughout every week. If you avoid the Bullpen because of an oudated reputation for being a trouble spot, it's your loss. Personally, I can't imagine a better place to hang out, listen to good tunes and shoot some pool. Hats off to Ping & Michelle for being awesome owners and great friends.”

“This place has a variety of beverages for everyone. I'm a smoothie person, my husband is a tea person and my father in law is a juice person. We can all go to star cup and leave equally happy. They have a bunch of flavors, small and large cups now and absolutely delicious Boba flavors!”

I love Panera their food, and especially their staff!”

“We catered food from Burrachos for our wedding reception. We got “The Works” for a guest count of 160 people. It was such an affordable option and it was flexible for diverse dietary needs and preferences. So many people shared with us how much they enjoyed the food. Communication was initially difficult (especially by email) and the process for securing a catering date was unclear. Communication by phone was the best route in the end, cleared up a lot, and they came through for our day!”

I've never been disappointed. from packer games to take out, everything I've had has been delicious. You are a go to for me! Try the Cuban or the Nashville hot, which the bartender recommended today. “A spacious and comfortable stay. This Sleep Inn Suites & Conference Center is the full package deal, including a lounge area open till 2am on the weekends and a 24/7 travel and gas station onsite. A short drive into downtown Eau Claire, this location is convenient and also totally quiet and relaxed. Everything you need for a comfortable stop on your trip. I travel regularly for work, and arriving at a hotel and not having to drive around more for food, drinks or snacks makes all the difference to me. The breakfast is great. Good standard options, coffee, and juice. There’s a ton of space in the general area to spread out and work. WIFI is fast and easy to connect. I was traveling for work, but there was a wedding party happening on the premises that night as well. That made for a fun setting, and there’s enough space that it never felt crowded or noisy. The suite was large! Plenty of room for an additional roll-away bed if needed. The room was exceptionally clean, and all usable items refilled. Comfortable bed, a nice TV. Ample closet and storage space. Everything I needed. I played a music festival earlier in the day, and the photos are from after arriving and immediately taking a nap. Very comfortable and we got much-needed rest. Check in was fast and convenient. The covered entry is nice on a hot, sunny day. The pool area is large! There’s a hot tub as well. Everything was in good condition and working. The exercise facility was also in great shape, clean, and had all the essentials. This was an easy and convenient stay. I would gladly return next time I'm in the area.”

“Great service, great owner, Andre. This small business and owner deserve your business! There was a line when I arrived and I overheard a woman say to the man behind the counter “I’m sorry for what you’re going through”. This made me believe he was alone, and he was. When it was my turn to place my order the line had already made it out the door. I asked the man directly if he was there alone and he said he was. Turns out he had 10 min notice from employees that they couldn’t go to work that day. Andre made it in and served people all day with a smile on his face with a “show must go on” perspective, and positivity in his demeanor. I will be back! Thank you Andre for our pup cup too!”
