“What a classic! Our bartender was the best I’ve ever had (woman in her thirties with Princess Leia buns on the back of her head). She is fast, fun and filled us in on the Water Street developments and all the other questions we threw at her. We had a blast. Thank you!“
“Make reservations here!!! Caleb was our waiter and he was everything a waiter should be. Very impressed. I have high standards with how waitstaff should be, as I used to be one and he was incredible. Attended to each table on its own & did not rush.My husband ordered a caesar salad tossed in ranch and he said that was the best salad he’s ever had. He is a rib eye guy and went ahead and ordered the rib eye, medium rare, with the Irish Whiskey sauce with onions & mushrooms. That had to be the best rib eye him & I have ever had while dining out!!The special was Scallops, topped with a seasoned bread crumb with Au Gratin potatoes & vegetable was green beans. That is what I wanted, so I ordered! These scallops w/ the potatoes were mouth watering, right with the rib eye!**Awesome establishment to take your loved one on a date! Or even a group of family & friends. The stained glass work was nice decor to look at. Nice variety of wines & alcohol beverages to choose from or an ice water with a fresh lemon! I hope this helps you decide on where to go !!!Parking: Because this restaurant is downtown, be prepared to park & walk. Not far, but at least a block. It’s well worth it though! Just drop off your lady. She can wait in the warm entrance for you!“
“We have only done pick up orders so I can't rate the atmosphere, although it seems nice when walking in. The pizzas we have ordered have been outstanding..No complaints at all, yes it's a tad expensive but what isn't now days. Definitely recommend!“
“Dropped my car keys in front of Mogie’s on my way to another establishment. After about two hours I went to my car and realized I didn’t have my keys:-) Lo and behold I see a sign on my window telling me Mogie’s had them. Thanks to the honest and smart staff there!“
“I worked here almost 20 years ago. While I know many of my favorite customers are long gone, I will always say this is the best job I’ve ever had. Also, I got to eat the best food a starving college student could ever ask for (and I’d still eat there ever day if I could). My friends just moved from Eau Claire to Florida and before that, sent me a pic of their food every time and asked “guess where dinner happened?” PS. Orv Johnson has EVERYTHING on every boss I’ve ever had. Ever in my life.“
“Easily my personal favorite place to stop in EC... discovered this gem October, 2020.Very clean , good vibe, always my first (and somehow I always circle back to make it my "Last") Stop.Purple Hair deffinitely knows her craft... excellent bartender !Friendly crowd ... machines always worth a play as well!“
“Went here for decadent 2024. Great atmosphere, and the two stages were awesome. Everyone was friendly and supportive. There were so many awesome artists playing. I wish i could have caught more of it! The song quality was pretty good no matter where you were. The downstairs stage is harder to see from the back but upstairs is pretty good view everywhere.“
“The bartender hates the customers if they ask for anything other than rail drinks or beers. But honestly, that is part of the charm. I've been coming here for 20+ years & she's always been there. & her consistency is excellent. The drinks are reasonably priced & tasty. This is definitely a townie bar. If you like that vibe you will 100% enjoy your time here.“
“I went for the Irish food and had shepherd's pie and some soup. The proportions were generous and the service was great, but it was different than I'm used to and the soup wasn't for me. Will have to try the Scotch eggs next “
