“This place is a nice, quiet bar/restaurant/tap room. We stopped in on a whim while shopping on a Saturday, for a beer and an appetizer. We ordered an IPA, a stout and the giant pretzel with the cheese sauce. The beers, tasty. The pretzel, delicious. The cheese sauce, home made and very very good. The service, stupendous! I'd recommend checking this place out! EDIT; we went a second time for dinner a few days later. One kid had the bacon and Bleu burger...loved it! Cooked perfectly! My wife had the Reuben and loved it! Corned beef cooked perfectly, sandwich not soggy and delicious. I had the beef stroganoff and I was wonderful - pasta cooked perfectly, tender beef and a very nicely prepared cream sauce.Whether it's a snack before shopping, or a dinner out with the fam, I recommend stopping here.“

The bartender was top notch, with over 25 years experience running the show, ans was very attentive to everyone in the place. With October almost here I had to stop by Bill's bar to try his Oktoberfest beer on tap and wasn't disappointed. It was great and a good size mug (see pic attached). You can find some of the most unique beer and premium whiskey selections in Madison. Great to support locally owned Madison establishments like the Malt House. There is no food kitchen, but you can get food delivered. “Came here after researching the "best coffee in Madison." I only got their pour over, so that's all I can speak for. It was cheap as well as delicious. Actual good coffee places can be hard to come by, and this is definitely one of them. I loved the atmosphere as well as the wooden interior. I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in Madison.“

“Friday Night Fish Fry Wife did not want battered fish and they have excellent alternate. She got the salmon and salad and looking at the menu- what did I see but mussels. These are some of the best I have had since being out on the East Coast. The potatoes in with the mussels with an extra surprise. Great service“

“Never a bad experience here. Absolutely wonderful staff - top notch. Great service - and super super quick! Delicious cocktails and the best, best, BEST Chipotle Southwest Salad. It’s my current hyper-fixation meal but from time to time, I like to spice it up with the delicious Steak Tacos and Poke Bowl! A lot of great menus items ranging from their signature dishes to seasonal dishes. Me and my boyfriend always say we should try new places, but can’t resist not coming here!“

“I first went to The Plaza in 1968. It was a go-to place throughout my college years. Just went back for the first time in decades. I'm pleased that except for the flat screen TVs it looks pretty much the same as it did then. The Plaza Burger is still outstanding and the french fries excellent. Broad selection of beers with many from Wisconsin. I introduced a friend from Cleveland to it last week and she loves it too. Next time I'm in Madison I'll be back!“

“The waffle fries are probably the best I've ever had. At our table, we shared or tried each other's stuff, so I had the brats and burgers and catfish. I thought all were excellent. When you get in, there's a popcorn snack mix at the table that is cool and different. The service is great. You are taken care of by all the wait staff, not just one person. I was told that they share all tips that seemed to keep them motivated.“

“Jordan's is one of the best bars in the city. An excellent food menu with daily food specials, not to mention a Friday Fish Fry that could rival anyone else in Madison! “Lots of tables. Half are sit down, half are bar height. Multiple TVs on every wall. Plenty of beers on tap, covering the spectrum from big name to craft. Came here for the fish. They have 2 or 3 piece cod. Cod is planks, batter is fairly light. Seemed a bit dry. Good tartar sauce. Battered fries were good. Coleslaw was creamy and good. 3 piece cod and soda ruined a $20 bill, but that is normal, now. Service was friendly and quick.“

“Antler's has always been one of my dad's favorite bars. I took it upon myself to throw him a surprise party and I knew that would be the perfect place. The owner met with me prior and was more than willing to help me with everything. Also, allowed me to decorate the place exactly how I wanted. If you're looking for a place to throw a party at this is the perfect spot. This process truly could not have gone smoother. I would recommend Antler's to anybody, it is such a good atmosphere, and is so much fun!“

“My daughter and I were greeted warmly, given a variety of seating options and decided to sit on the front patio for lunch. There were privacy panels so we felt separate from the parking lot and our dog was welcome. Our server was kind and attentive and the food was fast, fresh and really good. The menu is big enough but not too big and there seems to be something for everyone. Not only would I recommend, I will return tonight for dinner.“

Wontons were homemade with cream cheese with fresh chopped jalapeño’s in a wonton wrapper served with sweet Thai chili sauce. Mild and really good. Then burgers made your way. Service was very good considering it was around noon.“
