“Small quaint little brewery that is somewhat hidden on the Greenfield Avenue. You could easily walk past it. Beer selection was definitely serviceable. The silent disco was very interesting. It's is small so be prepared to be a bit cramped. Nice little beer garden out back when the weather is nice.“
“We have always loved the beer at lionstail. They now have in-house pizza, which is yummy. The staff has definitely gone down hill. We have been going since they opened and never had unfriendly service. Tonight was different. We had a giftcard we just got this past January. It was slightly bent. The bartender couldn’t get it to work and told us to go to Wauwatosa to use it instead. In the plus side the owners are still great and have said they will replace the giftcard for us.“
“I recently had the pleasure of stumbling upon a small corner bar in West Allis, WI, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight. This unassuming bar, with its unpretentious ambiance, turned out to be a haven for burger enthusiasts like myself. From the moment we stepped inside, it was evident that we had discovered something special. We decided to try their renowned build-your-own burgers, and boy, were we blown away! We opted for the double patty, and when those burgers arrived at our table, our taste buds went into overdrive. Tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, these were hands down the best burgers we've had in ages. It's clear that the chefs at this corner bar take great pride in their culinary skills, and their efforts are truly commendable. What made the dining experience even more satisfying were the homemade fries that accompanied our burgers. There was no doubt that these golden, crispy delights were made in-house, as the freshness and quality were unmistakable. To top it off, the seasoning on the fries was perfectly balanced, adding just the right amount of pizzazz. But the wonders didn't stop at food alone; this corner bar's dedication to craft continued with its impressive selection of self-brewed beers and an enticing array of local craft and domestic brews. Pouring their heart into every pint, this establishment truly understands the allure of a well-crafted libation. However, what truly sets this place apart is the warm and friendly atmosphere cultivated by the bartenders and owners. From the moment we walked in, they made us feel right at home. Their genuine hospitality and jovial demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to an already delightful dining experience. So, if you find yourself in West Allis and in need of a memorable burger experience, be sure to visit this small corner bar. Its phenomenal burgers are sure to satisfy your cravings, the homemade fries will leave you yearning for more, and their exceptional beers will quench your thirst. Plus, the friendly faces behind the bar will make you feel like family. Take my word for it - this hidden gem deserves your attention. Also: they make their own apple pie and offer shots for $4!!“
“I have not had the food. I usually just go for a beer. They have a great rewards program and they always have a great beer selection, so many varieties. The staff is always friendly but today Julie, the bartender and by herself and she was busy but she was still super friendly and took great care of us.“
“One of our new favorite breweries, Torzala is truly a hidden gem. It’s one-of-a-kind atmosphere is quiet and cozy yet so welcoming. The owners and bartenders are incredibly friendly and have a “strangers are just friends we haven’t met yet” attitude. We loved our time here and can’t wait to go back soon!“
“Huge open brewery. Their selection of home brewed beers will have something for everyone. It is pet friendly. Really like the self service watering station. Bubbler for locals. Water fountain for non Wisconsinites. They have 4 huge garage door which would make nice weather days a awesome environment. Definitely recommend and will be going back.“
“The perfect vegan brewery! Come here for every event and you won't be disappointed! Service is always great, and the arcade surroundings will wrap you in a warm blanket of nostalgia. It's your friend's basement where you played video games as a kid, and your friend's mom has made pizza!“
“We had a great time here. They have a nice space, it has a nice atmosphere and is well decorated. We did not get to see the beer garden or explore much though. For a brewery about to celebrate 26 years they do have a tap list that reflects that experience. Lots of good dark beers, pilots, small batch, barrel aged, etc. Also, the company was very good. We spent a while talking to our bartender and other patrons. One of my top 10 breweries we've visited.“
“We walked in here on New Years Day and had to wonder if they were open. It's a great space, very nice bar, good seating, and a few games. Lots of bathrooms and you can see the brewery equipment. It was a slow start but really grew on us. The beers were good. The abv was lower but the beers were also a bit more refreshing. It was a good menu, great space, good service, and a good time. It strikes me as an "old money" brewery. Everything is deceptively nice. Look at the bar, the rugs, the bathrooms, the walls. It's a nice place and very understated. We were surprised by how dead it was, there were only 2 to 8 other people besides us.“
“We've been here a few times, and the food is always pretty good, but I'm pleased to say we've finally had something that we thought was really exceptionally well done, which was the Buffalo Cauliflower Bites. These were really excellent, and I would probably get them instead of wings here in the future. The rest of the meal was good as well, a wide variety of options are available, so I'd say this is a good option for family or business meals where you need something to please different palettes. Conveniently located directly on a HOP Streetcar stop as well.“
“We stopped by last night. I got a flight to try a few different flavors. All were very tasty. One of the best stouts I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere, great people. Chris is just fantastic. I wasn’t planning on getting anything to go, but the beer was so good, I grabbed a few crowlers to bring home. We will certainly be back!“
“You could almost miss this place from the street side, but Gathering Place-Tosa is a chill taproom with a large outdoor patio in the back. Their beers are cheap, with a half pour for $3 or a full pour for $6. The bar tender was helpful in describing a few beers to me. They don't have food here, but Maggio's is right next door. You can order pizza from them and bring it over which is a great option! They also have a ton of boardgames in the back.“
“Love a graduation party at a brewery!! I am not a big beer person but the blood orange ale at Big Head Brewing was my phenomenal. Super light and sweet with a little tang- perfect for a hot day with a 6 UV! The big open garage was perfect for a party with bags, hammershougen, and darts! The bartender was so sweet too and catered to everyone at the party with ease! Would recommend stopping by when you're in Tosa:)“
“First time visitor with a friend after an evening of indoor climbing. Ordered the Smoked Chicken Wings and BBQ Nacho Bites. Both were amazing. The BBQ Nacho Bites were more than amazing. I apologize for the missing portions in the photos, but once i started eating I couldn't stop!!!“
“I meant to do this in November. I took Amtrak to Milwaukee. I went to the art museum and walked back to my hotel. I randomly found this place. When I got there, there were about 20 ladies waiting to get in. They were just about to open. I was in no rush, but while the ladies were figuring out their drink selections, Benjamin Rossi (just found your card in my bag) took my order and suggested the most perfect beer I'd had in quite some time.I'm usually with my husband when trying new breweries, but I was solo. He made me feel extremely comfortable. We talked about beer. He informed me that he was not only the server but did some brewing. The two beers I tried were great. He gave me some suggestions for other spots too. I just wanted to thank him. I wasn't having the best day...and that was so pleasant. I didn't get around to trying the food, but we will next time. It's a must try. ....and what a beautiful space. Thanks, Ben... Oliver if you can remember that far back. It was November. LOL“
“This had to be some of the fastest service I have ever had. Right after we ordered our food, it was already coming out. Food was good, service was good prices were good. This place covers all of the bases.Kid-friendliness: They had a decent selection of games.“
“This is absolutely fantastic. Excellent food, excellent service, and I don’t know why, but I left feeling like I had an amazing time. Very highly recommended.Parking: It’s at the stadium… If it’s not game day, there is an unlimited amount of parking.“
“Company is an exquisite local brewery/bar & restaurant on the Center Street, the central hub of the Riverwest neighborhood. Their selection of beers and coktails can't be matched. They also are super supportive of the local indie music scene of Milwaukee. They have cool live performances on their incredible stage every other weekend.“
“Water Street Brewery continues to be a favorite food destination when in the Oak Creek area! This was the first brewpub to open in the Milwaukee area and one can see it in the local/historic items displayed, fun beer signs throughout, and large menu options. One can sit at the bar and enjoy a game or sit in a more remote part of the restaurant to enjoy good conversation. A unique perk of Water Street is not only do they brew their own beer, but they also make their own root beer! Our group of four all got a round of root beers which came in a chilled mug. We started with the Bavarian Pretzel Twists and loved that we could add a fourth pretzel for a small upcharge. The queso was great as I'm not a huge honey mustard fan. Additionally, we got the cheese curds which were lightly breaded and more flakey than crispy. The curds came with both regular ranch and a chipotle ranch. For our mains, our group got the Chef's Butter Burger, Beet & Arugula Salad, WI Hot Chicken Sandwich, and BLTA. All orders come with chips or fries as well as some other options for an uncharge. All of us loved our food! Our server was great at listening in to any details and substitutions we requested and everything came out perfectly. Portions were rather large as 3/4 of us went home with boxes. We felt like everything was a pretty well value and nothing too expensive for what we got. Love Water Street and will certainly be back!“
“I had been away from Milwaukee for a few years so wanted to check out the new spots. Pilot Project stuck out due to the venue's decor and views; the in-person experience exceeded expectations. Nice staff, great beer, and tasty food (try the fish fry).“
“I was down on water Street on a Sunday during Easter and they were open which pleased to me! The service was excellent! I did not eat so I can't comment on the foodParking: This location is very tough on a Saturday and a Friday! There were shootings down at Pfizer forum and now it's a train wreck The cops are everywhere and it's a total circus I wouldn't recommend going down here on a Saturday night it's impossible to find a place to park unless you Uber or walk 2 miles it sucks Milwaukee is a train wreck“
“This is my first time eating at this restaurant. The food was good. The service was great. It is a new restaurant for this area. So I knew it was going to be crowded. We arrived around 4:30 PM. The atmosphere is a lot like champs restaurant in Brookfield. If you don't like restaurants with a loud atmosphere, then this is not the place for you. The service was great. The food was good. I had their slow roasted bone- in original sauce, chicken wings as an appetizer. I loved it! I also had their clam chowder. It was interesting because they don't have chunks of potato in the soup. it is puréed. So I like it better because I don't really do well with too much cream. For the entrée, I had their tri-tip sirloin wedge salad, which was also good, but the bacon was not great on it. Overall for the price I was satisfied, probably won't go back during dinner hour, just because it's so loud in there. I apologize for the bad food pictures, I kind of ate some before I remember I need to take a picture.“
“Went to Faklandia on karaoke night and was disappointed with the service. It took me like 10 minutes to get my drink order placed, which was only able to happen when my friend flagged the bartender down. Then while making the drink order I informed the bartender that I would be placing an order for food too, in which I had to have my friend once again flag him down. Throughout the night, the theme stayed about the same as the bartender seemed to give 95% of his attention to one part of the bar (the group with the club mugs). Additionally, I’m not sure if I caught the bartender on a bad day or what, but the dude had a straight up stone face and zero personality/friendliness the whole night to the point where I felt like I was inconveniencing him. Lastly, I’m pretty positive that based on my bill price, I didn’t receive my bogo beer, which is disappointing. Overall, I’d describe my experience as “meh”. Do better Faklandia!“
“A great spot for a good meal.We arrived right at noon for lunch and the place quickly filled up around us so our server was running his butt off but kept our sodas full and kindly pointed out the basket of napkins already on our table when he was flagged over in request of more napkins because the jalapeno burger was delicious but that beer cheese WAS messy.I love perogies and all things fried but I'm still trying to decide if I liked these deep fried perogies as much as the typical...(Steamed?) Variety but they WERE good. And I got the grilled cheese (called something else I don't remember) less the tomato but added ham. Perfectly toasted melty deliciousness.“
