“Our second time there is the past couple of months. Once for lunch and tonight for fish. Both times the meals were great. Friday fish (the cod had the most wonderful, light beer batter breading) was wonderful. Once again we were met by one of the most personable people - Mary. She's right there to greet us, pays attention to our "specific" drink choices and to our orders. Service was quick and Hot - thanks also to the Chef. But hats off to Mary for remembering us and being very friendly. The bar was full and noisy but the overall atmosphere is great - it's a landmark and I hope it continues to do a thriving business. Mary seems to wear many hats but handles it well. We'll definitely be back.“

“Owner wouldn’t believe us that our food order was wrong so he proceeded to take a fork and dig through 4 orders of tacos to make sure they were made with fish instead of shrimp. You could CLEARLY see it was fish. Did not comp us anything for our food and expected us to eat the food he just dug through. THEN THE OTHER owner came to apologize for the incident and STILL didn’t offer to make it right. Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT go there.“

“Great local place for some great food. We were very excited to try it for the first time. I got the lunch special. Salmon Power Bowl with rice, avocado, arugula, an egg and sweet potatoes. It was one of the best tasting protein bowls I've ever had. Wish this would be a full time menu item! Wife had the Gnocchi pasta. It was also fantastic. Kirk is a great server and provides excellent service.“

“We went for an early dinner on a Saturday. By 6pm every seat in the restaurant was full - with good reason. The food was amazing. Roasted beet salad, pork belly appetizer, duck and an off menu item - steak and frites. Each was beautifully presented and delicious. Service was attentive.“

“Date night and the quest for the best burger continues. What a delightful find. Service was exceptional! When we arrived, we were told 15 minutes for a table and 45 for food. Well, date night so...perfect. Our table was no where near 15 minutes, maybe 5 tops. AND the drink order the bartender took was placed on the table. Super fantastic. We went for burgers, and they were great! I had the Wisco Inferno, but I chickened out a bit and had the reaper ranch on the side. Outstanding flavor, and putting the sauce on the side was a great idea for me. I put just a touch of the sauce on. The burger was so satisfying. Service was wonderful. They refilled our adult beverages in a super timely manner. Overall wonderful visit. We will be back“

I recommend stopping for their mixed drinks, especially their Espresso Martini, as they are well thought out and bursting with unique flavors! A must stop for locals and visitors alike! “Friday Fishfry was amazing. Kim, our waitress/ bartender was very friendly and knowable of the menu and offerings. She started us off with some really excellent muddled Brandy old fashions. Our dinner were the deep-fried haddock baked haddock and deep fried scallops. All very delicious and piping hot.It was close to the end of dinner rush so Kim was able to spend a little time chit chatting with us about the area and that we should come back for the Saturday prime rib sandwich special or Sunday chicken fry deal. I do believe we will be back soon“

“My bride and I received a date night gift card from our good friends. We had never been to Xe54 before this evening. WOW!! What a wonderful place to have a date night. The staff was warm , welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the wines and drinks they serve. The cheese board was outstanding. “Very nice bar/grill. This was my first time there. I ordered a Reuben which they made with a hamburger instead of corbed beef. I probably didn't read the menu closely but it was delicious. It was quite chilly in this establishment. My husband had fish which he said was awesome.“

“This place is really cool! We went to see a burlesque show,we went to one a week prior in New Orleans and this one at remixx was much more entertaining in my opinion.Just a very friendly environment, probably some of the politest staff of any venues I have been too. one of the preformers who I think may have been a owner? Or at least part of the staff did a absolutely amazing cover of Tennessee whiskey. Definitely check this place out!!“

Different days and times draw different crowds, so you don’t always know what it will be like when you visit. Excellent food, great spirits and service! “we are in town for state bowling and came here for dinner. when we first walked in, Brett was quick to find us a spot to sit. I watched him flip tables quickly and he had a smile on his face the whole time. our waitress, Amber, was the best server I have had in a very long time. she was so friendly and attentive. the food was also delicious. 10/10!“

“I love this bar! My husband and I used to come here out of a wing for somwhere different to hang out at and then we met NATALIE! She was all alone studying for school so my husband and I would come visit her before it got busy. During that throughout the years we met a lot of amazing people and enjoyed all the moments with the bartenders and customers. “Honestly... It's the first bar I have gone into alone in years! There's a community spirit there with welcoming arms to newcomers like myself! People of all ages and all walks of life patronize this place! There kindness is Keen, the bartenders are superb, including the owner. “There was a sign as we walked in "Worst food I've ever eaten" Review on Yelp...It was a JOKE based off of some idiot because the Friday Fish was AWESOME!!!! HUGE JUICY SHRIMP!! Thick and juicy perch and haddock, perfectly cooked baked potato. My gf is hard to please and she even said 9+ out of 10. The only thing was the coleslaw had a late vinegary taste. But we loved it!! “Allow me to preface this review with the fact that I've moved up here from the south, so I know a thing or two about good barbecue, and I can be quite picky when it comes to this subject.With that out of the way, I'd like to praise this chain (and this location in particular) for becoming my new home away from home. Do not let the name fool you; this isn't just a generic pizza place, but a genuine, southern-style barbecue restaurant that happens to also offer pizza. Not only do they serve sweet tea, like every restaurant honestly should, but their tea is also genuinely great! My wife loves the mango-flavored one, whereas I go for the standard version, as I tend to. Seriously, this is one of like five places in northeastern Wisconsin where you can find genuine sweet tea (unless we count the other locations, of course).That being said, of course I have to talk about the food as well. I've read about on their history a bit, and it would appear the people who started this chain (in Kiel, WI, I believe) actually used to work in Kansas City, slinging up smoked meats and the like, and let me tell ya: you can absolutely taste it. The ribs in particular are great here (arguably top 3, but definitely top 5 I've ever had), and we also like to get the brisket as part of our shared platter. Now, I won't lie to you; the brisket isn't quite as consistent. While I'd rate the ribs 9/10, the brisket ranges from 6.5 to 8 out of 10; they have their good days and their bad ones when it comes to that, but it's not bad enough to where I wouldn't recommend it, as it still gets the job done, and I'm frankly somewhat of a brisket fiend. And even when it's not as good as I know it so often can be, it's nothing their sauce won't be able to fix, which I'd also like to point out: is amazing. I'm always a huge fan of Memphis and South Carolina styles, and they're both fantastic. The rest of the sauces are good, too. My wife really likes the pineapple habanero one, which I wish was spicier, but does have a nice sweetness to it.My one criticism would be that I feel that every barbecue restaurant needs to have either collard, mustard, or turnip greens, which I love to have as a side. But I do like their baked beans and mac and cheese well enough.Overall, great place to have within an hour of where we live. Southerners, this is the one! This place is authentic, right down to the wonderful atmosphere it provides. And the price is right, too.Parking: While the free street parking is limited, I have never seen it get busy enough to stop us from parking nearby, even during peak hours. I have a feeling this one of the less visited locations, which is a shame, because my wife and I love it!“
