“Owner wouldn’t believe us that our food order was wrong so he proceeded to take a fork and dig through 4 orders of tacos to make sure they were made with fish instead of shrimp. You could CLEARLY see it was fish. Did not comp us anything for our food and expected us to eat the food he just dug through. THEN THE OTHER owner came to apologize for the incident and STILL didn’t offer to make it right. Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT go there.“

“Looking for a spot to hang out and have some good beer? This place is it! They have their own brew and other great picks on tap. No liquor but they do have wine. They also have really good homage pizza made in a stone fire oven! Their patio is also a nice place to chill and enjoy beer or glass of wine.“

“This was our first time here. Placed order online, got to the window and a very kind man said they made one meal incorrectly, so they had to remake it. He handed us 2 garlic bread sticks and asked us to pull forward to wait. HOW KIND!! Everything was so good and hot!“

“Allow me to preface this review with the fact that I've moved up here from the south, so I know a thing or two about good barbecue, and I can be quite picky when it comes to this subject.With that out of the way, I'd like to praise this chain (and this location in particular) for becoming my new home away from home. Do not let the name fool you; this isn't just a generic pizza place, but a genuine, southern-style barbecue restaurant that happens to also offer pizza. Not only do they serve sweet tea, like every restaurant honestly should, but their tea is also genuinely great! My wife loves the mango-flavored one, whereas I go for the standard version, as I tend to. Seriously, this is one of like five places in northeastern Wisconsin where you can find genuine sweet tea (unless we count the other locations, of course).That being said, of course I have to talk about the food as well. I've read about on their history a bit, and it would appear the people who started this chain (in Kiel, WI, I believe) actually used to work in Kansas City, slinging up smoked meats and the like, and let me tell ya: you can absolutely taste it. The ribs in particular are great here (arguably top 3, but definitely top 5 I've ever had), and we also like to get the brisket as part of our shared platter. Now, I won't lie to you; the brisket isn't quite as consistent. While I'd rate the ribs 9/10, the brisket ranges from 6.5 to 8 out of 10; they have their good days and their bad ones when it comes to that, but it's not bad enough to where I wouldn't recommend it, as it still gets the job done, and I'm frankly somewhat of a brisket fiend. And even when it's not as good as I know it so often can be, it's nothing their sauce won't be able to fix, which I'd also like to point out: is amazing. I'm always a huge fan of Memphis and South Carolina styles, and they're both fantastic. The rest of the sauces are good, too. My wife really likes the pineapple habanero one, which I wish was spicier, but does have a nice sweetness to it.My one criticism would be that I feel that every barbecue restaurant needs to have either collard, mustard, or turnip greens, which I love to have as a side. But I do like their baked beans and mac and cheese well enough.Overall, great place to have within an hour of where we live. Southerners, this is the one! This place is authentic, right down to the wonderful atmosphere it provides. And the price is right, too.Parking: While the free street parking is limited, I have never seen it get busy enough to stop us from parking nearby, even during peak hours. I have a feeling this one of the less visited locations, which is a shame, because my wife and I love it!“

“I wanted to try something new instead of the everyday fast food joint, and man am I glad that I stopped in here. My first time was a smashing success. The atmosphere was wonderful, Miss Sony has an outstanding presence and is so passionate about her craft and most importantly, the food was delicious. I’m not a soup person but decided to indulge in the Creamy Asparagus soup which did not disappoint! So many flavors. I also had the Pulled Pork Sandwich which tasted like I was at a local Kansas City spot. Lastly, the Reese’s Pieces pie was to die for. “Placed an online order on a Friday night around 5pm for a 7:30pm delivery.Order arrived at 7:26pm and was so hot and fresh!!Mozzarella sticks were crispy on the outside and stringy/gooey on the inside. “Always a solid choice for Italian food. Pizza is always great if you're looking for something more casual, but the entrees and untouchables are fantastic for a more upscale experience. The only complaint I have is that sometimes it gets a little chilly at the tables near the main entrance during the winter. Just order an extra glass of red wine to warm up“

“we have been a long time customer of Sals...tonight we were faced with rude service and was threatened by an employee. we were there about 150am..and were told we couldn't the women's restroom bc its been closed since midnight. so as a woman I said I will use the mens when empty...the employee threatened to call the cops. For what logical reason would that even be. We do not need that kind of negativity in Appleton. We wont be back and certainly will no longer recommend it.“

“We had a work outing and wanted to catch a meal beforehand so I reached out the day previous to see what time frame would work to have 14 people join us. That is not normally their main thing as we have normally done take out, but they assured us that would be no issue. I spoke with Melissa in the afternoon and requested a time to have five large pizzas ready to eat without wait and the first one came out at 4:55 PM and the final one precisely at 5 PM, which was the time I requested. Different days and times draw different crowds, so you don’t always know what it will be like when you visit. Excellent food, great spirits and service! “I got there a little too late and they were done with wings but the bartender Nikki was so nice. She turned the fryer back on and made me some of the best wings I've ever had at a bar. I used to cook bar food so that says something. I worked in the service industry for many years. The wings were perfect and the service was outstanding. Nikki is an awesome bartender and she made my night when I thought I was out of luck, but she came though with great food and great service. Thanks Nikki. Please give this lady a raise.“

“For a long time, there was no place in town to get a GOOD Mexican taco. Then Fast Taxi came along and was serviceable. But now, Appleton has a GREAT Mexican taco. Just phenomenal. For ethical reasons I prefer chicken, but I will admit it's just okay here. So honestly, ethics be damned: I get the steak and al pastor because they're phenomenal. Great selection of salsas and other toppings, especially if you like heat. Also, if you're feeling really extravagant, try the quesabirria taco, which is just an insanely indulgent treat now and then.“

Was greeted by multiple staff members on the way in and wished good night by more on the way out. The pizza was hot when picked up and tasted amazing, numerous compliments from our party guests. “I ordered pizzas for our employees for lunch today. The thin crust and bread sticks cooked faster than the original crust so I had them start with that. I cooked them in the house and had to carry through the rain to the shop. Second pizza was cooked and upon entering the shop umbrella in tow...the pizza ended up face down on shop floor. I called a reorder in and when i arrived to pick it up i told them what had happened. They said this one is on us! Wonderful experience!“

Hostess greeted us right away and seated us and got our drinks, waitress did a great job with refills and getting our order correctly. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and 2 calzones and everything was great. Pepperoni was a little spicy which we love ans sausage looked to be house made which is always nice. If you haven't been here, I would highly recommend you give it a try!“

“We had my son's birthday party there. The staff was awesome. They took really good care of all of us. One of the employees working his name was Mike was a very friendly guy and constantly checked up on us. Food was great and the kids had a blast.“

“I was SO EXCITED that Toppers now offers vegan pizzas and Beyond chicken tenders! We tried them out and both were fantastic! The vegan cheese is so similar to real cheese, and the dipping sauces were awesome. I love that they offer so many options for dipping sauces. The Beyond chicken tenders tasted so much like chicken tenders it was almost unbelievable. The guy taking our order in the store was super friendly and talkative, and I love the ambiance there; we ate there and really enjoyed it. I will definitely be going back for more!“
