Baking goods, meat, snacks, cheese, yogurt, condiments, tea, coffee, drinks, salads, soup, eggs (my favorite), and the popular sandwiches (hot & cold) including the Unwich, an underrated lettuce wrap. The place gets busy and packed for a small store, but the expansion is coming soon so there will be more room and it's a well deserved popular place for the people of Hayward and many more to enjoy their goods.”

“I went to Tembers Wheel Inn with some friends for lunch today. My first time there and I am anxious to go back with my husband. Not only was the food great but the conversation about the bar/restaurant was very enjoyable. If you haven’t stopped yet swing on in. I am not a local but I felt right at home there.”

“The pizza was really good. We had both the traditional and deep dish and all 6 of us enjoyed them. The wait was about an hour for our food. So I wouldn't come if you are in a hurry but we felt the food was worth the wait.

Our server was good but busy which left us without drinks for a solid chunk of the time we were waiting for food. We could see her buzzing around helping others. They layout would make it hard for a server as there are three different dinning spaces (bar, outside, and back room). The decor is typical up north with pine walls and taxidermy fish.

I wouldn't hesitate to go back again.”

“Wests is simply the best homemade icecream I’ve ever had. The quaint atmosphere of an old fashioned dairy bar, kids carrying a banana split with a smile just as wide and the forty flavors cant be beat. The only downfall is that the line is sometimes out the door and down the street. Staff handle it with patience snd a smile. 😊”

“Friday Fish Fry was excellent. So we decided to try their Taco Tuesday. Portions and prices very good. However, there was an over abundance of pork in our Taco and Burrito plates. Not much else. Just tasted like unseasoned pulled pork. Nothing to resemble a Mexican taco. We'll skip it in the future. However, the Beer and wine was good. Lot of choices”

“Backroads Coffee is honestly a genuine, upbeat, positive natured, honest and employee and customer based atmosphere!! Whenever there has been an issue the team has always done their best to correct the issue and when their isn't anything to be fixed they present themselves nice, fast paced and on target. I would recommend this sweet treat, delicious food and out of the world coffee to everyone. Whether your out of town or a local ❤ thank you backroads coffee ☕”

“We finally got a chance to try Tamarack's this summer and it was AMAZING. It was busy but we were seated within 20 minutes. Excellent service. Super fun atmosphere. We got the ribs (of course) and the BBQ pizza with the gluten free crust. It was the BEST gluten free crust we've ever had. Throughout our meal we had to keep reminding ourselves to slow down so we could keep eating, and eating! My pinot noir was also excellent.”

“My wife is glutton free and a pizza places can really be hit or miss with glutton free. We drove 35 minutes and were hoping it wasn't a miss on the glutton free. My wife loved her glutton free pizza I had a build my own thin crust with Philly steak, taco hamburger, black olives and jopalinos, my daughter, son in law and their 3 kids had 2 other pizzas, we all really liked our pizzas. This place is operated by a family, which we got meet. We called ahead to see if they are able to seat a party of 7 which they had set up for us when we got there. We'll be back to support City Limits saloon and enjoy more great tasting pizzas. We'll worry the drive.”

“Our first time in, greeted with amazing hospitality! The kids we given coloring sheets while we waited for our 5 drinks. They were made pretty quick for one staff. There is a cute bookshelf where children can get a free book. Very cute jewelry available too. Affordable prices and as a coffee connoisseur, the best caramel macchiato I have ever had! Thank you and we will be back!!”

“Got the par-b-que burger, the Italian beef and the mozzarella sticks. Burger and fries was definitely the best of the three. Italian was your typical bar Italian beef with the pepporocinis advertised as giardenara peppers. There is no giardenara as far as I can tell. The marinara that came with the mozzarella sticks was either old, dry or stale we did not eat it. Overall all not bad, great vibe, just got a know what to order.”

“Stumbled upon this place on a Friday night. The random chance we took turned out great! Good drinks, great food, spectacular dessert. We got a few items to try:
- breaded mushrooms - crispy and juicy at the same time
- potato skins - cheesy, crispy bacon, cooked just right
- scallops - seared to perfection, rice, asparagus and sauce were all top notch
- fish fry - perfect. Try the cornbread muffin, it's unreal.
- turtle cheesecake - just the right amount of nuts and caramel
- brownie with ice cream - warm brownie, cold ice cream, 100% yes

“We went for the first time last night for the fish fry. Everything was amazing! The fish was lightly breaded and had great taste, it, along with the steak cut fries were cooked to perfection. A tasty old fashioned. Fantastic service from Bonnie. My niece inhaled her burger, and we even shared a delectable dessert. Wonderful experience!”

“The people at this restaurant know EXACTLY what they are doing, and what they are doing is creating an experience like no other that I've had. It was nothing short of spectacular. Everything about it was top notch. When walking up to the restaurant, we were greeted with a smile immediately. The outside dining creates an atmosphere of relaxation. Overlooking the lake/log competition arena was super nice. There was no competition happening, so we got to see the serene view of the still water, an occasional kayaker paddling by. I commented several times that it felt as if you were sitting in a southern outdoor restaurant, enjoying a fine dining experience, while sitting in an up-north cabin. It was a surreal and awesome combination. Our server, Emile, was quick, knowledgeable and friendly. She added a comfortability to our experience that you don't often find. The food....the food that Chef Troy planned and Sous Chef Angela executed for us was truly spectacular. The new tastes and knowledge that Chef Troy have brought to the restaurant is phenomenal. It was beautifully served, perfectly seasoned, the taste was indescribable in the best way. We had crab cake as the appetizer, which was the only crab cake I've ever enjoyed. Fresh crab, not fishy at all. Just delectable seafood. My husband had the salmon sandwich as an entrée. He said he's never had anything so delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the aioli went perfectly with the dish. He even commented on the how wonderful the bun was, which we found out later was brought in directly from the Big Easy. I had the filet mignon. This steak was so flavorful, and so tender I literally cut it with my fork. I tested it just to be sure. Finished off with a very rich chocolate cake that could have easily fed 4 at that table, with the right amount of semi-sweet cream that was the perfect compliment to cut the richness and bring out the chocolate. I mean, I literally cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I would return again and again, and drive from Minnesota over to Hayward JUST to eat there. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for dining in Hayward, and be confident that it would hold up against any place out there as outstanding.”

“The food was great! We went for lunch so I got the burger and fries which hit the spot between stopping into shops nearby. We were there during the Lumberjack Championships so maybe they were short staffed but service was slow so maybe don’t go if you’re in a hurry. It looks like there is a second dining room in addition to the main room and the patio but it was closed on a Friday afternoon. Not sure if that’s the norm.”

“I see some reviews that mention less than perfect service, get over it people. This is a straight forward bar and grill, sometimes the bartender is the only one on duty and is doing their best to keep everything rocking. We go for wings on Wednesday and they are great with an awesome variety including a house rubbed smoked wing that is flat out great!! If you are looking for five star fine dining.... go to an expensive 5 star restaurant. If you want a place for a cold beer and great food that attracts the locals, this is your place.”

“Stopped in on a Saturday. The whole town was busy. 2 workers who were doing their best. Everyone was kind to them as you could see they were just busy. My food was excellent! The 2 employees were kind and energetic. I was very impressed.”
