“I got the woodsman pizza which tasted delicious, a little oily for me. The service was fast, efficient and the hostess welcome us kindly. Because it’s was a weekday they were not busy at all. Definitely a place I would go back, I like the atmosphere too, inside it has a red decor and with the candles looks cool. Also the price is great!“

“Don’t come to Madison very often but when I do, it’s always a stop at Ian’s pizza. Someone suggested the Garver feed mill location and I was pleasantly surprised.
Very cool location, unique set up. I wish I had more time to explore around this area with the bike and walking pass.

The pizza is always delicious. I enjoy how friendly the services. Two slices and two canned root beer is $18. Not a bad price at all.

“For a loyal customer patronizing Glass Nickel for decades, I shouldn't be in a position to need to write this. With all the problems, - and it seems that nearly each order has come with one or more - I still came back for the great taste of Glass Nickel pizza. However, the most recent issue made me finally decide to take my business elsewhere. My pizza had (over three inches) of no toppings toward the edge. Unacceptable. It appears that the mushrooms are not chopped into bits anymore like in past orders, and that I appreciate, but it looks like the big barren spaces, sans toppings, made up for that. I asked for a refund, but was given a half credit. In addition, I had to dish out more for the tip and delivery charge. I'm finally done with them.“

“This has been my favorite pizza place since I was a teenager and there was one where we lived. Now I only get to go when I'm near one which isn't often. Today's pizza was soooo good. Sauced just right, nice and hot, and (as always) the sausage was great. This particular location has been one of the best ones and today did not disappoint. I'm already looking forward to a trip that I can use as an excuse to go back to Rocky's again.“

“I have to tell you this: some of the best pizza that I've had, I have to say, is even better than Salvatore's tomato pies. They're good, don't get me wrong, but the crust on these pizzas is amazing. The sauce is amazing.

Another thing: if they were to move to Kansas, specifically Kansas City, Wichita, Kansas, and Topeka, they would dominate Domino's, Papa John's, Little Caesars, and Pizza Hut. They would take them all out of business.

When I go home to Kansas, it's definitely going to be a disappointment when I go back to that pizza. I'm going to always think of Rocco's.“

“I absolutely love the gyro here and it’s consistently tasty, hot and fresh every time I order it. I’ve ordered from here well over 50 times in the last year and only had an issue with my order twice and both times the employees corrected the issue and got new food out to me asap and was so apologetic and helpful. “The gluten free crust was delicious and I watched the folks working change their gloves when they were handling my pizza to prevent cross contamination. It’s a bit of an awkward wait (longer than you’d expect), and I wouldn’t recommend eating at the tables inside unless the weather is poor. Go outside and enjoy the view!

“I have been too many, many different restaurants trying different things and this restaurant is like a One-Stop shop for everything you would want. It doesn't matter what type that you're looking for. These guys have it and they're very good. They're very respectful. They're enjoyable to be around. They're very, very affordable and I would recommend this 100% of the time every time. You don't need to go anywhere else. They have pretty much anything you would want. I would recommend them every time“

“Despite coming in with a group of 7 people at 12:30 am, the workers on duty were incredibly receptive and patient. The food was hot and fresh overall and the boxes seem to be higher quality than places like dominos or Pizza Hut. Not sure why this place received such poor reviews but I have to disagree. I am a huge pizza lover and this hit the spot!

Customer service was great and with a smile.

Picked up a duo pepperoni slice around noon. The slice was soft, cheese was plenty,sauce had the right level of seasoning, and the dough was airy and light.

Perhaps it tasted so good because of the time of day. The lady behind the counter did inform me that all the slices were fresh.

I'd urge you to pick up a slice around noon and see for yourself.“

“This would not be a four star restaurant in Paris or New York, but it is a four star restaurant in a motel in Madison, Wisconsin. I had the sirloin twice during a three-day stay in the motel and found it miles ahead of one I had at a popular bar not far away. I carefully described how I wanted it cooked, and it came just that way on each of the two nights. The mashed potato side is delicious and should not be eaten by anyone!

This is not a fancy restaurant, but is quiet and pleasant. Eating outside on the patio is also enjoyable. Since we live close by, we will be coming back regularly for the excellent food at surprisingly good prices.

Edit: We did go back again last night and I and my son both had the steak. Strangely, it was a lot thinner than before. Maybe 5/8 of an inch instead of 1 inch! It was still cooked correctly, but was no longer exceptional. My wife again had the spring rolls and she indicated they were not cooked as well as before. Also, I should add since people are reviewing it, that the breakfast for motel guests is no big deal. It is a run-of-the-mill motel hot-table breakfast comprising scrambled eggs, probably from powdered, and those little sausages instead of the bacon that the best places have, etc. So only four stars, but still a nice, modest place we will return to.“

“I went to the Echo Tap over the weekend because I had a craving for a burger. I didn’t know that there was a hockey game that night so it was quite busy but our server was very nice and accommodating despite how many tables he had. But the burger I had… it was the BEST burger I’ve had in a long long time! It was cooked perfectly and the flavors were perfect. Highly highly recommend!!“

“Have not been there in a long time, decided to stop in and we’re glad we did. The restaurant was super clean, and the staff was friendly! While we waited the owner came out and introduced himself. It was such a nice gesture to see how proud he was of his store and the recent improvements. He stated he recently took ownership of this restaurant. He talked highly of his staff and you could see the respect was truly given! We were impressed by the food and by the character of the owner and the employees. While this may have been just grabbing a quick pizza it was definitely a business model others should take note of. Way to go East Side Madison Toppers!“
