We ordered Ardent's Lent special Friday only fish fry and at $30 a pop for either perch or blue gill we were understandably curious about whether it would prove worth the cost but because the restaurant always delivers the best in culinary quality we felt pretty confident. Let me just say once we got home and opened up our 'pizza sized delivery boxes' we were stunned ! Each contained mounds of perfectly crisped French fries delicately sprinkled with parsley & dill , 2 containers of creamy flavorful tartar sauce , 2 slices of yummy marble rye slathered in sweet butter, a generous serving of piquant coleslaw and ample serving of PURR-FECTLY breaded & fried fish fillets + 3 fresh lemon wedges to add a bit of zest. Seriously in a post COVID world where restaurant prices continue to rise and in many cases quality & quantity slips an utterly delicious dining experience like this deserves all the accolades we can muster! Congrats to Ardent's entire team for having the dedication & talent to put it forth . Only regret? That Lent doesn't lasted all year long!

I was really excited to try Ardent's new bar and lounge section. You can make reservations but they also leave some room for walk-ins. I made a reservation for a Saturday night. Service was impeccable, as always, and so was the food. They have a really great bartender and such unique cocktails. The stand-out entree for me was the burger - it had nutrionally-yeasted onions, boursin, pickles, and your choice of a single or double smash patty on a sesame seed bun. We also really enjoyed the pear sorbet for dessert. I'll definitely be back because I'm still dreaming about that burger.

The only pre fee coursed meal I'd experienced before coming to Ardent was Thomas Keller's Per Se.... Let me tell you, this experience at Ardent exceeded every past "elite" dining experience I've had.Each course was well thought out and beautifully executed. Highlights on our menu were the curry carrot cake and the uni onion soup. Each course held an element of surprise and finesse. I asked my boyfriend to take my back here for my birthday. Everyone cross your fingers!!!!

Definitely one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at in the world. Every dish was fantastic. The food was very interesting, with innovative ingredients. More importantly, unlike some fine dining restaurants, they made sure that every innovative dish was absolutely delicious. Particularly the koji ice cream with brown rice and caviar, the shiitake rooibos tea, and the madras carrot cake. They also made great substitutions for my pescatarian wife. Excellent beverage pairing as well, and perfect portion sizes. Can't wait to come back!Vegetarian options: They can make a vegetarian tasting menu, with great veggie options.

I had a fantastic experience in the tasting room! Devine food, perfectly paced and portioned. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and always there with what I needed. It is clear the staff love what they make, and are excited to share it. I am already making plans to return when I can.Dietary restrictions: They were easily able to accommodate my food allergies, and intentionally asked at two stages (during reservations and when we first arrived) if we had any food restrictions. I never felt like I was missing out, the food felt complete no matter if they took something out for me.

Stopped by for the opening of the lounge, and it exceeded expectations. The quality is the exact same you would expect from their tasting menu, the prices are more than reasonable for the quality, and the staff is top notch as usual.The lounge idea turned Ardent from an annual event location to a spot for a usual date night.If you don't at least try it, you're missing out.

We knew in advance that the experience would be outstanding, but they outdid themselves. We were in their new quarters next door on a weekday evening and enjoyed the 10-course tasting menu. We had two incredible coctails (their special versions of a Manhattan and and an original containing Genepy) and they were in a class above coctails at just about any restaurant we can think of (in or out of MIlwaukee). The menu items were original, impeccably prepared, and delicious. Not only their flavors, but also their textures, colors, combinations within the same course, and temperatures were created and choreographed by the chefs. Many of the courses were served by the chefs who prepared them -- and they were clearly happy to answer questions. When asked about the term describing the final course, one chef even provided a definition and etymological summary of "Mignardises"! Thank you very much, Ardent, for the wonderful dining experience and outstanding service!

We went here for our 10 year wedding anniversary. This was the greatest dining experience we have ever had. The staff were wonderful and kind. The food was outstanding. It was cool to see the kitchen plating and have every dish explained. Highly suggest getting the wine pairing. I have never had a drink paired so well with the food. It brought out so many different flavors. Everyone made you feel welcomed and answered any questions we may have had. Overall 10/10 experience. We can not wait to go back!! Thank you for an amazing night and experience!
