“We just moved to the DeForest area, and this location was recommended to us. We enjoy smoked meat and all of the associated sides, so we decided to check out out. We were warmly greeted, as if we were regulars, and quickly seated. Our server was very friendly and helpful with the menu. Our food was served quickly. Our server's recommendations were right on the mark. We really enjoyed everything. The cheesy potatoes and the cornbread were our favorite sides. I tried one of the platters to sample so that I could sample several mains. The ribs and pulled pork were favorites. The brisket was good, but not really notable, as was the chicken. The gumbo soup was also great. The meat was served "dry" and there were several bbq sauce choices to help take the food in the direction you enjoy. We've already returned and will continue. The prices aren't really a bargain, but they seem to do a solid business, so they're apparently appropriate for the local market. Definitely recommend.“
“Best bar there is in Waunakee. Great burgers made fresh with beef from the butcher down the road. Go on Sunday for a great Bloody Mary made by Cheryl or Marci.Parking: Parking is slim in most instances out front along the highway. More parking is available in back.Wheelchair accessibility: Not necessarily wheelchair accessibly. I little work would need to be done to get in the establishment.“
“We went this past sat with friends. 5 of us had drinks plus food. Were in no hurry and susie was busy.. former owner. Tamtam. (TAMMY) also off duty stepped in. We had so much fun. Plus the burgers were stellar. We all.loved our food ham n cheese plus the bacon burger roll ups. We got a couple great songs from susie. We cant wait to visit again. I'd say go. 5 of us plus drinks under 70.00. Run there and support your local small town establishment. I hope they remember us when we return. My mouth is already watering for a burger.“
“This a quintessential Wisconsin corner bar where neighbors come to watch the Packer games have a great burger and adult beverages. I love places like this. It may be your first time there but it feels like you've been coming here forever.“
“Stopped in tonight before 5pm...very busy, The bartender was friendly, but probably a bit overwhelmed. She didn't seem to be too bothered, however, and continued serving drinks. We didn't get food on this visit (short on time). From past visits I know you'll have to wait a bit for food. Food is traditional bar food....burgers, pizza, fried yum. The burgers are tasty.“
“It was really busy when I visited, my friends said it's not normally that busy. They only had one bartender and other than food being less available, she was keeping up amazingly well! We did get a pizza from her, but she just couldn't do burgers, understandably!“

My all time favorite was the bartender Ms Michelle who was extremely nice ,friendly, and fast. “Several of us got a "burger recommendation" for the Frontier bar in Poynette. We were not disappointed with either the quality or price of their burgers. Drinks were very reasonable and well made. The staff was very friendly and mindful of our group. We will return to the Frontier Bar.“
“Great Venezuelan food with a lot of options. Start with the house specials or arepas. Big portions. They also have good vegetarian options. The service is always good. They have a great patio with an awesome view of the sunset over the downtown skyline. Great for happy hour.Vegetarian options: Most of the dishes with protein options can be ordered vegetarian. The flavor of the veggie option is really good.“
“The Frog Pond has become our go-to for a consistently good Fish Fry and great burgers, We try to go every month for the burger of the month, which are always unique and an amazing deal at $7.50. This month was a "Benny Burger" - fresh hamburger patty, ham, fried egg, and Hollandaise. We weren't sure we would like it but it was delicious. If you haven't been here yet give it a try, it's truly a hidden gem for good food.“
