“One of the best meals I've had in the Milwaukee area. The prosciutto appetizer was superb! We also had pasta with lamb Bolognese, as well as pasta with green garlic and mushrooms (not the names on the menu, don't recall what they were called). The lamb was magnificent, the other was very beautifully spring-like in presentation and flavor. Ordered tiramisu to go - next day it was phenomenal! Thoroughly marvelous experience.“

“If I had to sum up my experience at Filippos in 1 sentence it would be "bang for your buck casual Italian dining with high quality service" We chose Filippos as our valentine day celebration meal. My aunt had trouble calling ahead for reservations but when I called they answered straight away and were very accommodating. The restaurant was a little less than half full on this Wednesday/Valentines day. They were a great restaurant to take a little toddler too, they had so much fun with our two year old and did not seem bothered whatsoever, a true family friendly restaurant. Everyone enjoyed our four course meal. We started out with bread, they brought plenty, some garlic and some plain. Next course was a minestrone that was quite tasty. Everyone's meals came with salad next which was a basic house salad with iceberg lettuce. Next came our huge portion dinners. Not one of us had anything to complain about. The food was so tasty. I ordered the chicken Alfredo but tried the primavera and was obsessed, will definitely be ordering that on my next visit. The chicken cordon bleu is coated with mushrooms so beware it's not just on the side. We ended our night with a cannoli and tiramisu, the perfect ending to a great meal. Our server was so patient with us as we were cackling while ordering. She was very attentive and the food was speedy. Filippos gives the vibes of a family owned no frills business that I'm drawn to. A new west allis staple for me We all left so full and everyone had leftovers.“

On to dinner, the staff was INCREDIBLE. Not a single beat missed on ensuring we had everything needed. Our host noticed both me and another guest are hard of hearing. I tried meatballs, ravioli, perch, tiramisu, and small complimentary desert wine. It was such an outstanding meal, I cannot wait to come back! It was 5:30PM on a Sunday and we were seated immediately. The waitress was prompt and courteous, the food was delivered quickly, and everyone liked their food. Everyone knows it's not freshly prepared or authentic Italian food, that's not what we expected. My wife was given her choice of anything on the dessert menu for free which was very nice. My only complaint was the price; like every restaurant these days it's not cheap. For 1 chicken entree, 3 fettuccini alfredo plates, and 1 kids meal it was about $110. A plate of fettuccini alfredo alone is $16, plus $4.25 for a soda, etc.Kid-friendliness: There were many families with children dining on a Sunday night, it wasn't crazy loud but it's not fine dining either, definitely bring the kids along and definitely don't expect to have a quiet meal with only adults around you.“

“We stopped in to have their fish dinner. I had half baked/fried cod and my wife had all baked cod. We both really enjoyed the fish, the fried cod was excellent. We also had the potato pancakes, which had a slightly sweet taste and were also really good. It’s an older establishment and look every bit of that statement. Our table and seats were clean and so was the rest of the seating area. I’d recommend trying their fish dinners and plan to go back. I thought it was a bit pricey compared with other restaurants offering fish fry dinners.“

“Just had a funeral dinner with the great folks at Alliota’s. To start with, we had a family member in a wheelchair and our dining room was in the lower hall. The had a lift chair available and the manager assisted. Worked flawlessly. We had a slight delay with the family at the gravesite. Their team was so very helpful in bringing the guests in and getting them set with beverages and seats. Being a bit late, there was concern on our part but the hosts/managers couldn’t have been nicer. They setup an Italian buffet. Food was very good, hot and fresh. Salad was a great mixture of fresh greens, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. They had meatballs with marinara, breaded chicken Parmesan and Italian baked fish. Homemade sheet cake was served with a great cup of coffee. I wish I could have offered 6 stars. At the conclusion of any funeral, it’s great to have a place treat you like family.Parking: Tons of parking, cleared of all snow and was dry pavement when we got there.Kid-friendliness: We had three or four munchkins, who were a bit out of control because they’d been cooped up in church for four-five hours. The staff took care of business and graciously worked around them. Again, the staff were wonderful.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a commercial chair lift and a member of the management team helped with our family members.
