“I love this restaurant. The quality of the food is excellent, atmosphere is charming and you will not fine better bread in Milwaukee period. The staff and owner are very friendly. I have seen a few reviews noting slow service, it is a small business and they have limited staff but it is worth the wait. Shorewood is lucky to have such a fantastic coffee, breakfast, brunch and lunch option.“
“Forgive me Colectivo, because despite reviewing your great cafe drinks, I don't think I've ever noted the five-stars for my favorite food item: Veggie Pesto Burrito. It's been awhile since I've had it, but recently I came to ordering this goodness again and it was tasty as ever. I love the size of their burritos - not massive, but just enough to fill the hunger void. This one is full with roasted potatoes, cooked broccoli, pesto, melty provolone and quality-sourced eggs. All of the flavors pair well together and there's even a nice kick of heat to it! Maybe it's from the homemade salasa that comes paired? Either way, it's delish. Find it on the "all-day breakfast" menu! Oh and while I'm here, another positive shoutout to the pistachio matcha latte. It was my first time having the *pistachio* version and it might be my new go-to order. It added this nutty, slighty sweet (but not too sweet) flavor to the green tea. So yummy.“
“Fresh bakery, good assortment of desserts, good breakfast and lunch fare, in addition includes a plant based menu. And of course coffee! Counter service, fairly quick service. Hang out and work on your laptop or have a bit with friends, or both!“
“A pretty little place to stop by and get an affordable brunch that actually has flavor in it. I got the tomato, chicken, pasta dish (I completely forget what's it's called) and it was a great meal for 11:30. A lot of good options. Be courteous with parking, it's a bit awkward. 8/10.Vegetarian options: There's like, 35% of the menu that's vegetarian, vegan I'm unsure.Kid-friendliness: New tastes without being overwhelming, for parents trying to get kids to like stuff.Wheelchair accessibility: Decent if not a little awkward.“
“From the moment you walk through their corner shop door, you feel like you've entered a familiar and comfortable place. The service and atmosphere are just what you want out of a local coffee shop. Andy and Anya were super friendly and conversive. And she makes a fantastic cortado! The Cream City Brick and the nods to the local hometown make you feel like you've entered something truly Milwaukee. The coffee is great; it's now one of my Go-Tos anytime I'm in the area. What a great discovery this morning! Apparently, it only took me 20 years to fnd it! Happy 20th!“
“The food is fantastic, but the wait might not be. Going at peak brunch times means an hour wait, but whenever I stop by on a Thursday or Saturday at 2, the service is fast and amazing! I love the Bruncher and Portlander. The sweet cortado and refreshing crepe are exactly what I crave for brunch! Their OJ is astounding, too!“
“Every trip to Mad Rooster is excellent. I may get loud for some people, but that is because everyone enjoys themselves there. The food quality and preparation is top notch, and they hosts and servers are always helpful and pleasant. Come early or be prepared to wait, and the parking lot is limited, but there is an adjacent lot very close by. The Mad Style Yogurt is a signature of there’s in my opinion, and I always enjoy the savory selections. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! The food was heavenly and is a perfect choice for vegans (full vegan menu). Even if you aren't vegan you will still enjoy the food here! The ambiance is very modern and trendy and definitely has a bright and light feel to it. The space is a little small but thats not much of a negative since it prevents the space from getting over crowded. The wait staff was very friendly and had excellent recommendations for the dishes. Definitely try the veggie breakfast burrito, the flavors meshed together very well and was expertly prepared. Also the lavender London fog was amazing! It had that nice cerebral feel that you get after having an expertly crafted cup of tea which allowed me to unwind after a difficult night. Thank you for giving me a comfortable space to unwind and enjoy a meal with friends!Vegetarian options: Full vegan menu“
“I got a naan melt, and now I’m wondering why I waited so long to try Indian food. If you’re new to Indian food and don’t know what to get the workers are happy to help you out. Great food, excellent service, clean restaurant! Highly recommend stopping by!!!“
“My go to is usually a almond chai or Jolly Green Jenny, a single maple-syrup laced crepe and a side of tofu scramble. Together they satisfy all my sweet salty and savory cravings with a comforting hot beverage. It’s always civilized in there, everyone keeping their voices to a mellow decibel and the greenery all over in the living walls is over the top beautiful. In the summertime it’s gorgeous outside. Michael and his staff are always hospitable and polite and you feel like they’re family taking care of you. It’s a terrific little gem tucked away in a sweet spot. Go there for healthy ish eats but mostly go because it feeds your soul.“
“I tried 2 tasty warm items today a feta and spinach pastry and a chicken croquette. I would say these are some of the tastiest things I have tried in a long time. Flaky pastry with a buttery taste and a croquette with the chicken that was so flavorful! What a lovely place. They also offered other warm items, pastries and a lovely seating area and free internet. I will come again. Perfect for coffee, small groups, families or to do work on the computer.“
“Comet Cafe in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, proved to be a delightful spot for a lunch outing. From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the cool ambiance. Despite being a popular spot, I had no trouble finding a seat, which was a plus. The cleanliness of the place added to the overall positive experience. The server's friendliness and attentiveness stood out during my visit, enhancing the dining experience. Their warm demeanor added a personal touch to the meal, making me feel welcomed and valued as a customer.Opting for the club sandwich was a wise choice. It was delicious, with fresh ingredients and flavorful combinations that satisfied my taste buds. Each bite was a perfect balance of textures and tastes, leaving me thoroughly impressed with the culinary offerings of Comet Cafe.Convenience played a role in my experience as well. Finding street parking nearby made the visit hassle-free, adding to the appeal of returning regularly, especially if I lived nearby. Comet Cafe would undoubtedly become a regular dining spot for me, given its combination of great food, friendly service, and convenience.Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Comet Cafe to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Milwaukee. Whether it's for lunch, dinner, or even just a casual hangout, Comet Cafe has everything you need for a memorable meal.“
“Took myself out to breakfast for my birthday and I had to check out the all vegan cafe! I have been vegan for 7 years now and I have never found anything like this! I had a veggie scrambler and mango tango fusion smoothie and both items were so good! And then they brought me a slice of vegan chocolate cake for my birthday dessert. It was the sweetest and kindest gesture. I can’t wait to come back!“
“Coffee shop with industrial flair & amazing vibe, particularly well-suited to coworking & remote work. There are plenty of power outlets built into the tables, as well as enclosed *pods* for when you need to have that quiet space for a call or a break. Friendly staff & inviting atmosphere. Oh yeah, and great coffee too! I’ll def be back!“
“Root Beer Chai! This is one of the specials and it was so good. I forgot to take a photo until I was home and it was gone. Subtle, balanced flavors. I added soy milk and I recommend iced. Some merch available and cute seating nearby. Highly recommend. Thank you!“
“This location of Anodyne is one of my favorite coffee shops anywhere. They roast at this location. They always have several roasts on drip. They also have outstanding lattes, specialty coffees and pastries. In the evenings, they have occasional live bands, beer, wine and coffee cocktails. There's a large stage, good wifi and plenty of seating.“
“My dog and I love going to Nomad coffee bar. He loves his pup cups. I cannot give 5 stars only because the one item I order is always “out”. I try to call ahead every time but no one answers the phone. Not ever. I’ve called probably 10 times in the past 2 months. I dislike that my dog and I have to walk all the way there just for them to tell me I can’t order the only thing I want. My dog doesn’t care cuz he still gets a pup cup because he will scream like an infant if he doesn’t get one. His eyes light up anytime we’re near nomad. Service is great regardless.“
“Honestly just walked in here because we arrived early for our reservation next door and needed to kill some time. I didn't expect much from the coffee shop, but was pleasantly surprised. The shop offers different types of coffee, tea, and alcoholic beverages. Sometimes when you go to a random coffee shop and they offer a huge list of flavors, you either don't taste the coffee or you don't taste the flavors. That's not the case here. Our drinks were very well made. You could taste the coffee and the actual flavors in your drink. The staff was very friendly and I definitely plan on coming back here next time I am in MKE!“
“Came here for a quick stop on our way to Port Washington. The food was excellent and the variety of pastries just like back home on the island. The workers here top notch. Had a great time and wish we could come more often but we are from Chicago and the distance doesn't allow us visit here more often but I recommend to all who are looking for authentic Puerto Rican cuisine.“
“Tommy, the incredible soul with beautiful black hair, warms my heart with his smile. The variety of specialty delicious lattes & tea & the brioche-yum! The service & smiles & the fact that they serve in actual mugs are why I come to this café vs any other. They care about the environment, so I've gotten a discount for bringing my own cup when I get it to-go (not many other cafés care about Mother Earth). They have food, alcohol & live music. Big bright, open space to relax. Thank you Tommy for being you! And thank you to all others who welcome me with warm smiles & friendly service.“
“Ordered the ox tail, jerked chicken, and island shrimp and all of the meals were on point! Your portions were fair, everything was well seasoned and the staff was super friendly while I was picking my order up. We always jumped from one Jamaican spot to the next when we shopped but I think you earned our loyalty on our first visit.“
“Genuinely one of the coolest places in Milwaukee. The food is beyond excellent and the staff are so nice that I forgot I was in a restaurant! Highly highly highly recommend going here, even if you aren't vegan!Vegetarian options: The entire restaurant is actually vegan!“
“Press served their delicious waffles at our wedding on 9.24! They were a huge hit!! Our guests loved the waffles and their super cute vintage trailer! Emily was great to work with as well! We also love to grab Press at South Shore Farmer’s Market, they make the best Belgian waffles and have great topping options!“
“We have been going once or twice a week. Ever since we found this place. their Waffles, crepes, and fresh fruit juice are absolutely delicious! Also the fresh Hazelnut baklava is so good! Their customer service is amazing. They are always so kind and welcoming. This will be forever one of our favorite spots.Kid-friendliness: It is a very big restaurant and there are a lot of kid friendly options.“
“First time here this morning! It was so peaceful and cozy! It was so clean and welcoming I got a hot caramel latte and a cinnamon roll! The barista was so friendly and made great recommendations I grabbed my coffee, cinnamon roll and Kindle and sat down to read my book and have a relaxing morning.“
“BEST cortado i’ve ever had—so smooth, and the homemade whipped cream on top was the perfect addition. the barista even explained that he added coffee bean shavings on top, which was a sweet touch ?we stopped in after going to retique around the corner, making for a lovely afternoon “
“This place is beautiful and comfortable! Over the past year, I confess I often wondered if this spot work ever actually open. It was worth the wait. Staff are friendly and efficient, the food looks good, and the coffee is great. The regulars I saw there this morning felt like a Seinfeld episode or Cheers. I'll be back.“
“I got the veggie scrambler and my brunch mate got the breakfast sandwich on the croissant. Both were delicious, good quality food and good portion size, without breaking the bank! Very satisfied. Locally owned (the person working today is the owner, she's very kind) and good tunes playing! Highly recommended.“
“Very friendly staff, if you need something, ask them; if they make a mistake, tell them and they are so apologetic and will try their best to make it right. The food is also very good for the price. I was told that they are looking to expand their menu selections as well. They have paintings on the wall that has a price tag on, so they probably support the local artists as well. Not a bad place to have breakfast.“
“Benny's is one of the best family restaurants I've been to in a very long time. Our server was fantastic, the food was delicious, and my classic bloody was made from scratch, not a mix! I had an avacado omelet, American fries and pancakes, Happy Birthday to me! Glad I picked here, we'll be back again.“
“It's very small, but the service and food is great! I put $10-$20 but I really don't remember how much I spent. I think it was right around 9 or 10 dollars. The 5th question I really don't remember. I had a vegetarian bagel sandwich, though.Vegetarian options: I just know what I got was a hummus cucumber bagel. The bagel was toasted and it had lettuce as well.“
“When your goal is the whole experience, and you believe in families, and you want healthy food, and ESPECIALLY when you have a family member who is ADHD (for example), this is a wonderful restaurant! It's welcoming, peopled with kind hearts and knowledgeable, empathetic folk. It has a sensory room, and an art room with small, achievable projects. True, the menu is limited but the food is healthy and fresh, and by this time, aren't you sold on it? Go there. You'll be uplifted! We were.“
“lovely local diner with good food and good service [cash only]I tried this place out for the first time this past weekend after being recommended by a friend and was not disappointed. It's a small restaurant that physically is showing signs of its age, but the good food and friendly staff more than make up for it in my opinion. They're a cash only business and only open breakfast-lunch, but prices are absolutely reasonable and I would definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the area and looking for a bite to eat.Parking: parking next to the restaurant is limited to a few street spots in front, the next door liquor store does have a parking lot and there is free street parking nearby if you're willing to walk a block“
“Anodyne consistently delivers a great experience at all of their coffee shops that I have visited in Milwaukee and this one is no exception. This shop would be a good place to set up a laptop and get some work done, with plentiful seating and tables. Easily accessible by MCTS Route 15.“
“I went to smallpie, due to the building's design. I had no idea what it was. However when I went in I was greeted by two wonderful people!! After looking at the menu I went with the cheddar and apple sandwich which was so, so good. I got a few things to go. This is a place with stopping in at!!! The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. I'll be back!!“
“While it may not serve me to make this place even more popular, I am posting this review to perhaps give more people the opportunity to enjoy an Italian coffee bar experience in Wauwatosa. There is also a Walker’s Point location. Divertirsi!“
“I was recommended to come here for the food and wow I was not disappointed! I was also impressed with how much seating this café has to offer- great spot for studying/working. I tried the avocado breakfast sandwich, the sausage breakfast sandwich, and the almond waffle. It is all amazing! If you like almond flavor, PLEASE try the waffle... I'm still thinking about how tasty it was!“
“A classic place to dine in for breakfast. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with a great menu for everyone to enjoy. Only wish the servers were more attentive, but overall, very kind. We will be back for more delicious breakfast and lunch!“
“For a chain breakfast restaurant, it was very good. The service was attentive and speedy, especially considering it was a busy Sunday morning. We had the biscuit and gravy, the works omelette and the farmhouse skillet. They all looked great, with fresh ingredients and were cooked perfectly. We especially liked the avocado, eggs, and potatoes in the skillet. It was very balanced both in texture and taste. The mocha mint iced coffee was a great finishing dessert. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely return in the future.“
“Amazing food! My husband and I had our catering through them for our wedding. It was fabulous! Everyone loved the food, the portions were enormous and Michael was a delight to work with. The set up was beautiful and fast. Thank you for everything!“
“I came at prime brunch time and was welcomed warmly by both the barista behind the counter and also a waitress when I transitioned into the dining area. The person I was with and I had a lot to chat about and our waitress came back like three times before we finally ordered our drinks; she was so kind and didn't pressure us to keep it moving. My Bloody Mary was good: it included a huge pickle and a chaser. I got the spicy chorizo hash and it was huge; the potatoes aren't crispy though--that's the only thing I wished were different. The sourdough toast was perfect and I'd come back again because everything on the menu looked really good!“
“Every time I visit here the coffee is consistently delicious and well made and the baristas are above and beyond friendly. They are patient and kind in helping you decide what to order, and keeping your tab open in case you want to order again. They collect your dishes and make your visit very enjoyable. The food is always delicious as well. Definitely recommend visiting!!“
“A hidden gem! Usually coffee shops in the third ward are a bit pricy, but Full of Beans is vastly different, including a wide selection of pastries and any coffee you can think of. M-F they offer any size drip coffee for $1! The owner greets you every-time you walk in the door, and offers a cozy atmosphere with various books, games, and local events posted by the door. If you’re in the area, give it a try!“
“This has become my go to breakfast and lunch place. Everything I have had has been delicious, the space is adorable, and the service is outstanding. I often meet with friends and we are never rushed and instead encouraged to hang out no matter how busy they are. Love this community oasis.“
“The service was absolutely fantastic. The friendliest servers you could ask for. The food was absolutely delicious. Some really creative items on the menu. Great variety. Check out the menu. Photos that have been added. Definitely worthwhile stopping in prices are very reasonable. And they have a fantastic fish fry also. I found a great sandwich in the three meat sandwich… delicious Chicken breast on top of a burger with bacon added. Very filling and absolutely delicious. be sure to try this sandwich.“
“i was working in the area when i was approached by an employee. i was offered a coffee and the generosity could have made me cry. on top of that, the coffee itself was made perfectly. not harsh on the throat , too hot or cold, and the taste was phenomenal. the location is ideal; about a block away in all directions from busy traffic and it was just relaxing no matter where you were. the employees were compassionate about their customers and to me that deserves an award. they even support local artists! how amazing is that!!!“
“Softly played piano tunes and bistro decor made this a pleasant outing. Host was cheerful and initially attentive, but our drink order was unusual (chocolate malt, rather than alcohol) and didn't arrive before the meal (probably was never made), so we cancelled it. The waitress was friendly and attentive, no complaints there. Tenderloin was amazingly tender, garlic mashed potatoes were tasty, and the garnish of onion rings hit the spot. Ribeye steak was deliciously grilled, but had a lot of fat and grizzle, and therefore was understandably chewier than my husband's tenderloin. Baked potato was generously sized; sauteed mushrooms were a treat. Overall, we set out to have a nice steak dinner, and mission was accomplished.“
“I had a berry smoothie with protein in it, it unfortunately wasn’t the best especially for it being $8. Your best bet is to stick with the coffee. Other than that, it has a great location and a lot of seating to offer both inside and outside. Great place to study, bring your dogs, or meet up with a friend.Parking: Parking lot is usually really full.“
“A bit pricey, but well worth the experience. Staff is friendly and helpful. It really shows that they have a passion for what they do. Mochi drinks with Boba were a real experience . And the bakery items are amazing. Try the Tornado Potatoes while you are here... delish!!!“
“Top burger spot in Milwaukee. I had the crave burger with a small fry. Very flavorful, the bun was incredible, and the fries were crisp. Service was quick and great. The cafe has 3 tables with chairs inside and a patio. Definitely more of a carry out spot, but wouldn't mind staying to eat if I had a small party.“
