“We had read that this place could be busy, so we chose to go a bit later in the evening and were seated immediately. The waiter wasn't super outgoing, but he was polite and actually became quite talkative when we took the initiative. They had excellent vegetarian meals with some real effort from the chef. Indoor vibe was fun with bikes hanging from the ceiling. The patio also looked nice with flowers and hanging lights.”

“Steakhouse chain with good food. Very busy location and there is a median that prevents traffic from turning in if not coming from the nearby freeway exit. Atmosphere is a bit too loud for me, but that is true to their brand and motif. I like to get a medium or medium rare new york strip, well trimmed. Its awesome with just salt and pepper.”

“The food and service was excellent. We had the pad thai with chicken. The portions were huge. You do not leave hungry. What made it even more incredible was that someone anonymously paid for our dinner. Thank you, Whoever you are! Your generosity was over the top. The waitress informed us that the anonymous person paid for the dinners of the entire restaurant. Just mind-blowing. We will definitely pay it forward!”

“2nd visit. It was a quite night, the staff informed us that was due to ”spring break”. This restaurant has a warm, fun atmosphere. We were given a “tour” of the two main floor dining rooms and learned about the history of the building and Wausau itself buy the pictures hanging on the walls. The staff was attentive. Extensive wine list, bartender gave a quick lesson of Gins (differences between London dry and botanical) to one of our guests. With spring around the corner, I enjoyed the zucchini pasta.”

They were also very busy but not busy enough to treat everyone there the same as they treated me. Of course the pizza and garlic bread were amazing. This place is a Wausau landmark for a reason. Even if the food wasn’t always perfect and they didn’t have best toffee cappuccino, the service is absolutely impeccable. The staff genuinely treats you like family—warm, attentive, and always smiling. It’s rare to find that kind of hospitality these days. This last visit was extra special because we finally got a booth! We joked that there’s a “three-visit minimum” before they grant you booth access, which only adds to the charm of the place. They have a fish fry and I treated my sister and daughter. We all had different meals off the menu. Shrimps, walleye, halibut, ribs, coleslaw, German/American potato salad, cheese curds, fresh re-read. Alll the food was piping hot, fresh, seasoned and delicious . The presentation of the food was incredibly pleasing to the eye and the taste matched the look. The Boba drink was creamy delicious. Best I've ever had! Dana is great and has been doing an amazing job the 20ish years she's been there! Highly recommend labor temple and the pizza is amazing!”

“We got the twelve pack of pork eggrolls from Hmong Eggroll and we were impressed! First, the building, while a hole in the wall type of place, is full of fun culture and a beautiful story quilt. The service was friendly and helpful. But best of all were the eggrolls. Tons of sauce came to go, they were porky, cabbagy, stuffed with rice noodles and tons of other goodness. We are definitely coming back and trying more here!”

“We ate there tonight to celebrate my wife's ??th birthday. Our waitress was good. The food was decent. The mixed drinks were nearly sans alcohol. The rub didn't come until it was time to pay our bill. They actually charge an additional 4% to use your credit card. I realize that other eateries in our area have consorted with their fellow restaurateurs to add an additional fee to "cover their costs to do business with their credit card brokers but 4% is a new high. In the past 3 weeks my wife and I have traveled over 5,000 miles in the car on a road trip to the Pacific coastline. In the entirety of those travels, we did not find ANYBODY charging an extra fee to pay their bills at checkout. I HAVE learned, however, that the prevailing view is to simply deduct the charge card fee from your normal tip. That way, nobody is the wiser, but you didn't cover the fee; the waitstaff did. The waitstaff has no way of knowing how you NORMALLY tip, so they have no way to know that you charged them for the fee. I am generally a strong tipper. A strong tip less the fee still might look like a strong tip. So in a nutshell, if you are part of the waitstaff that charges a fee for your customer to pay their bill...........They are not paying the fee..YOU ARE! This is bad business on the part of the owner.”
