“The Wisconsin State Fair is a good place to get drunk, eat cream puffs, listen to music and walk around, in any order. It's a lot less dumpy than what I remember as a child, so that's nice. (Usually it goes the other way, and the streets of nostalgia are paved with gold!) It's similar to the Minnesota State Fair with some differences: + More beer, less food. No falafel, sadly. + Much more contained, not sprawling, but still a fair amount of walking + Less dusty and dirty + Fewer shops and less junk + More music and relaxation, centered around beer tents + Cream puffs are the big, overpriced dealio and they're good, rather than Sweet Martha's cookies I had a good time this year!“
“Love this addition to State Fair grounds! They have all the best local craft beer on tap instead of the boring big name beers. I was able to order my favorite Hazy IPA to enjoy and while we were there they were making announcements left and right on people tapping the kegs. If you tap a Keg they call you out and give you a t-shirt, which is a fun addition and keeps the atmosphere lively. Plus it's a covered pavilion and very nice to step out of the sun for a moment. I will for sure be frequenting the Micro any time I'm at Wisconsin State Fair!“
“3 cellars host's the best wine tasting events around. ("Code Red" is the best)- staff is knowledgeable and is always bringing in new products- food options are great(pizzas are delicious)- great atmosphere- tasting bar always has new fresh options. They've got something for everybody.“
“I went to the restaurant recently and was pleasantly surprised at how great the service was. Our server was Alexa and she was extremely attentive to us whether we needed another drink or just simply checking in. She was a warm face and really made our dining experience enjoyable. The food and drinks were also great!“
“Very cute beer garden! The bars were fairly open and quick to pour beers. They also have a glass repository station so you can drop and go whenever you're done. And, no deposit on the glassware. Prices are comparable to others in the area. Loved the rippling stream on the other side of the garden. There was a walk way but we didn't venture too much. Some folks were fishing even so it seemed like a pretty great spot. Plenty of seating. Would definitely go back!“
“Highlights/Lowlights 1. Outdoor Fire Pits 2. Food Available 3. Open Year Round We love coming to South Shore! Glad this spot is open all year round. There are lots of picnic tables inside and outside, and gas fire pits on the patio in the Fall and Winter. Views of Lake Michigan are top notch as this spot is right on the water. The menu selection is pretty big for a Biergarten with sandwiches, flat bread, a variety of appetizers and drinks. They even have a gluten-free* crust for the flatbread. We did a few sandwiches and a flatbread and thought the food was pretty good. This place is really for the ambiance and drinks so probably won't be the best meal you've ever had but the food serves its purpose. Note - they have beer, seltzers and sangria. This is part of MKE County Parks so they don't have a permit for wine. We love South Shore and will continue to keep visiting! *Not sure about cross-contamination for gluten-free items. Recommended to call and ask if you have additional needs“
“Food is not why you go to this beer garden. It's fine for snacking, but food delivery apps are better option if you want dinner. Seasonal beer selection is good, plenty of choices no matter what your taste. Lots of tables, but limited inside shelter if raining. Live music on weekends (check website) is a fun bonus. Nearby playground for the kids.Parking: Parking has improved, but be ready for short walk during peak summer hours.Kid-friendliness: Playground is close, picnic tables near there you can enjoy your beverage from while keeping an eye on the kids.“
“I love this place even though I am technically banned from there for making a joke on stage during my bands set about Dime Bag Darrel which the owner misheard as a dig about him maybe shooting a guy.. right after he had to shoot a guy that tried to rob and shoot him... sigh The joke goes: "hey what were Dime Bag Darrels last words?" "Can I get some shots up here?"“
“We love Urban Harvest Brewing due to the family atmosphere as members of the mug club and all the events that involve the club and the general public (i.e. block parties and fundraisers). I absolutely love how owner Steve supports his community and organizations like the Wisconsin Humane Society and his patrons. Also as a retired Infection Control Practitioner, I am SO impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and especially how UHBC operated during COVID-19 pandemic ... nice job!“
“Third Space has the perfect open chill vibe that you're looking for in a brewery! The staff was super helpful to explain what the beers were like compared to the type of beer we usually like. The Heavenly Haze IPA is our all time favorite Hazy IPA out of any we've tried. If you like Hazy's, you must try the Heavenly Haze!“
“I discovered this place when I was on the Oak Leaf Trail, I cycled past it many times before and stopped by finally, I bought the Bavarian hot dog which was excellent and the Hard Cider which was as well! I'll be stopping by when I'm on the trail “
“Food was delicious! We had the French dip sandwich and the chicken panini. The service by Shannon S. was great! We were celebrating our friend's 82nd birthday and she was very nice about making sure he was celebrating well. Thank you, Shannon, for making the extra effort a worthwhile experience for all of us! BTW, the chocolate creme brûlée was outstanding -- you won't be disappointed!“
“This was a random Google find, and I'll definitely be back. The Chicken sandwich was delicious, the breading light and crispy (and completely attached!); one of the best I've had in a while. The breakfast Burrito was a good size, bigger than expected as it was about standard burrito size (you know how some places offer smaller breakfast sized burritos) The corndogs were pretty good, although they were about half the size the picture online made them appear. Fries did not disappoint and my son said his burger sliders were good. Overall it seems like you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Employees seemed in good spirits too.“
“We stopped there at about 630 pm on a Friday for fish fry. They accept reservations but we didn't make one and they were able to actually get us in pretty quick. Service was fast and friendly and fish was delicious! I would definitely recommend!“
