“I wish we could give 6 stars. If you're looking for catering for a wedding, Antigua is THE place to go. My now-husband and I were easy-going about almost all of our wedding decisions, but our number 1 priorities were our venue and food. We did not want the standard dishes offered at most weddings, we wanted something that stood out and represented our love for delicious food. We saw the many awards Antigua has earned when we went for our initial tasting and, after having tried their food and hired them for our wedding, we're baffled as to how they don't have many, many more. Citlali, the owner, has won our hearts and anyone thinking about getting married in the Milwaukee area MUST check Antigua out. She made everything so simple for us, and was present on our wedding day to make sure everything ran smoothly. The staff running food and clearing plates were superb for everything from appetizers to helping to set up the dessert station. Every single person at my wedding that I spoke to after dinner raved about the food. Run, don't walk, to Antigua and hope that they aren't already booked for your wedding day.“
“We hadn't come to eat here for a long time and wow, very impressed with the changes to the restaurant, good service from Eyla, quite friendly and welcoming. The delicious food! I recommend El Almuercito and a passion fruit juice. We will definitely return.“
“I never knew I liked empanadas until I stopped in here. They have a ton of different flavors and every one I've had is really good. My favorites are the chicken tinga, mushroom and tomato mozzarella. The mushroom one is incredible. The chimichurri sauce is also great. They have a nice little tap beer selection as well. Always a good stop in Milwaukee.“
“This was ordered & picked up on the way to work by a co-worker that suggested this truck, I’m very happy he did so, love the plantain Slider’s & can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Definitely a place to go to if you want to try something different and “
“Once we got ahold of them and found out no reservations and that it was a very small (3-4 tables) we can't star - can't get ahold of them at their phone - tried many times - but once we got there and it was empty (scary but then worth it), we had a very nice meal - the ambiance is odd since there was only one other couple there during our entire meal but good drinks and good food. I'd try it again.“
“The food is delicious! The service was great and the atmosphere was very uplifting. They change the menu every quarter and there is enough variety you can find something you like.Just be aware it's not cheap. If I have any complaints, it's the cost of the drinks in the small cups they give you. Should be bigger for what you're paying.“
“This place is amazing! Really authentic with their taste. Lomo Saltado is "buenazo" sooo good. Our waiter recommended a scallop appetizers and man was he dead on. Delish!!! Great Gluten free options that makes my celiac daughter happy with zero issue. We live a whole 50+min away and trust me we will be coming back. Amazing food, superb service and great atmosphere!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“
“Hidden Gem Alert! This place is connected to a school (UCC) it’s open to the public.I was so hungry I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of my meal, but I was able to capture my fiancés lunch. He went for their famous Friday Fish Fry!“
“it was awkward when my group first walked in because there was no one there to tell us to pick a table or give us the thumbs up to seat ourselves. our waitress was kind, but lacked to check up on how we were doing.the food itself was subpar, though the gordita is actually good, but the enchiladas rojos were a big miss. they tasted like they were sitting in the freezer for a few hours, and the cheese was the only thing giving it flavor. everything else on the platter was satisfactory. the servings are huge, just to let you know! plan on bringing friends along to help you eat it all.overall a great experience!Parking: it’s hard to find a spot because they don’t have their own little lot where cars can park. we had to do a whole circle to find a good spot, which is essentially right next to the sidewalks.“
“I decided to celebrate my birthday at Tulum. The location is convenient and parking is available on the street. I contacted the venue through Facebook to make the reservation for approximately 15 people and what I liked the most was they reached out right away to place my reservation. There’s no host/hostess so we sat right away and I noticed the table was set up for my party and next to us was another group. The place looked empty at 7:00 on a Snowy Friday night, but that changed in the course of one hour. All my party was complete and our only server did a great job placing our drinks and food even though they all showed upst different times.I ordered the Molcajete because it stood out from the menu and it didn’t disappoint. It was a massive amount of different meats served with rice, beans, and pico de gallo that my sister and I couldn’t eat half of it after eating tortilla chips and salsa. We drank Happy Hour traditional margaritas and I continued ordering the blended mango margarita. I really liked that one, however it is messy due the chamoy. From the start of our night our server asked us how would the table be splitting the bill. That helped to avoid confusion when paying.Everyone ordered different things from the menu and all seemed very pleased with the quality, timing, service, and the restaurant’s atmosphere.Between 9:00-9:30 the restaurant switched to a night club by turning off the lights and changing the music. I noticed the music genres were shuffling between Traditional Mexican music to Salsa and Bachata.Overall, I had a great experience. I was very pleased with the service and food. I would definitely recommend for parties and/or celebrations. The restaurant brought a lemon filled cupcake with a sparkling candle. It was so cute and dessert was pretty good.Parking: On Kinnickinnic street parking is free past 6:00 pm on Friday.Wheelchair accessibility: There’s one step at the front door and door needs to be held to keep it open. Bathroom is big enough for a wheelchair. Sink might be too small and far to reach.“
“I had an overall pleasant experience, and the service was excellent. I ordered the churrasco Argentino with asparagus and amarillos. Despite ordering the steak medium rare and assured it would be bloody, it certainly was not. The asparagus was bland, but I loved the amarillos.“
