“I wish we could give 6 stars. If you're looking for catering for a wedding, Antigua is THE place to go. My now-husband and I were easy-going about almost all of our wedding decisions, but our number 1 priorities were our venue and food. We did not want the standard dishes offered at most weddings, we wanted something that stood out and represented our love for delicious food. We saw the many awards Antigua has earned when we went for our initial tasting and, after having tried their food and hired them for our wedding, we're baffled as to how they don't have many, many more. Citlali, the owner, has won our hearts and anyone thinking about getting married in the Milwaukee area MUST check Antigua out. She made everything so simple for us, and was present on our wedding day to make sure everything ran smoothly. The staff running food and clearing plates were superb for everything from appetizers to helping to set up the dessert station. Every single person at my wedding that I spoke to after dinner raved about the food. Run, don't walk, to Antigua and hope that they aren't already booked for your wedding day.“
“Had an amazing dinner on March 22nd at Cavas! Chef Ana and her husband Peter made us feel as if we were in their kitchen at home, enjoying cultural dining and champagne over family stories. The food was out of this world! We ordered the Mixta Paella for two. It came with an appetizer of Entrada (Pepa's mushrooms). This did not disappoint; the mushrooms were fresh and in olive oil sauce with Manchego cheese served on artisan bread. Next was Mixta Paella...a combination of Valenciana and Mariscos paella (roasted chicken, slow cooked pork and chorizo, with a mix of clams, mussels, shrimp, and white vermouth). The Spanish rice was crispy with flavor for days, the seafood fresh, and the chicken and pork cooked to perfection. Just when we thought we couldn't eat anymore, Chef Ana brought dessert, mini-Spanish flan and mini-Spanish bread pudding. Miraculously we found more room, as the dessert tasted like heaven! During the meal we sipped on a bottle of Cava champagne (included in the paella for two price) and enjoyed every minute of it. It's been a while since we had a dining experience this special. Chef Ana and Peter make you feel like a part of their family, and you can taste the love in the food. Highly recommend Cavas for date night, big family dinners, or a night with friends you won't forget!“
“I really enjoyed the service and food! Unfortunately the ‘ automatic 18% service charge’ goes to the restaurant and not the waitress I had. I understand owning a local restaurant is not easy but this did make my bill higher than it needed to be since I am still leaving an additional tip for my waitress. Again, food and service was awesome though!“
“Dined at Amilinda on Friday (moms night out). Had a lovely evening. I was greeted warmly by the host (I arrived first), and seated at a cozy candlelit table. Our server was awesome, she was fun and had great recommendations for cocktails and food. There were 3 of us, so we each ordered different entrees and shared. Everything was amazing (seabass cheeks, carcamusa and a pork shank). We devoured it all. We also had dessert, some dark chocolate mousse that was incredible (I am still thinking about it). Chef Greg even came to our table for a chat. We had the best time (the employees seem genuinely happy, and we never felt rushed, which was nice). The word I would use to describe this place is: warmth. 5 stars.“
“La Caleta bar and restaurant is amazing. The staff customer service is excellent. Let me first start with the dip with tortilla chips. You will not find this dip anywhere else. It sooo... Good. It is not the traditional dip. The food will not disappoint. believe me.“
