“My husband and I had Karubees for dinner. He had curry chicken and I had jerk chicken. The sides were cabbage, mac and cheese, and rice. Chicken so tender it fell off the bone and so very tasty. As you can see in the picture, I couldn't wait for my husband to shoot the pic before I had a bite. I love that her husband picks up all ingredients instead of having them shipped so they are always fresh. I highly recommend you give it a try if you like Jamaican food.”

“Over the past few years, East End Pub has become a regular destination that my group has included in our roster of go-to lunch spots. EEP makes an incredibly good Chicken Bacon Swiss sandwich that, IMHO, cannot be beaten. I have taken over a dozen friends and family members with me to lunch and every one of them have become regular customers of EEP. Their egg rolls are delicious and always in demand, and I have yet to encounter a menu item that disappointed. It is a small space with limited parking in its front lot, but there is ample parking along Washington Street or on East Avenue. Susan, who tends the bar, and Kendall who waits tables are always a pleasure to see and they take good care of their customers. As word has spread through town, EEP has gotten more popular and crowded, but that’s what good food will do. We have taken to arriving early to beat the lunch rush. My group of friends have ordered everything from EEP’s burgers, to hot dogs, to East End Egg Rolls to half a garden salad with a (seasoned or not) chicken breast on top, to the Rueben and to my favorite, the chicken bacon Swiss sandwich, to the breakfast platter and everything in between, and all the food has been delicious! They definitely have some of the best French fries in town! While it’s a small establishment, it’s a great size for a local neighborhood pub and a great place for lunch or dinner, or just a few drinks at the bar. They have specials for lunch that regularly change and are written on a chalkboard on the wall as you go through the front door. You seat yourself upon entering; one does not need to wait to be seated. It also has a great location at the corner of Washington Street and East Avenue which is at the foot of north side of the 35th and 36th Street bridges to Kanawha City. Overall I’d rate East End Pub at 9 stars out of 10 due to its excellent food, great service and pleasant atmosphere - and those awesome French fries!! If you want a casual tasty meal, some drinks or beers, or all of the above, East End Pub is an excellent option!”

I couldn't be more impressed with their down to earth and willing to engage with customers like they've known them for years. Especially loved Mark's stories our conversation and him showing us the process in the back. I would highly recommend visiting them not to mention there products being authentic is a huge plus. If Mark or Brenda reads this just know Mark and Sherri from the Toledo area really enjoyed our time at your establishment. “When they told me they had separate fryer that was dedicated to gluten-free, I was sold. And the food and service was amazing! I have celiac disease, and for the last 25 years going out to eat has always been so hard (with risk of getting sick). It’s still often that I get confused looks when I mention “gluten”, other places…but to have a dedicated fryer or cooking area that never happens! That made my night.. super delicious! “I realized I posted a review on google but not here! The transition from Vino’s to the Blvd Grill is honestly what downtown Charleston has needed for so many years. All of the staff are amazing but I do have to say since Billie has been there it is seriously THE PLACE to be downtown. You wanna eat? They got you. Wanna play pool? They have 2 diamond tables. Wanna play darts? They have FOUR boards. Not interested in playing anything? The whole bar area is open to just hang, whether it be at the bar, the several high top tables, or the few booths they have away from to games. Listen, I might be biased, but as a frequent flyer of downtown for many, many years, I assure you this is the atmosphere Charleston has needed. And something I didn’t mention in my google review is that they also have an upstairs area that can be rented out for private events!”

Tried several beers on tap and they weren't very good but had standard selections as well. Good atmosphere quite a few people in there. Servers were great. “I’ve been going into this location for several months in the morning. The young man with the salt and pepper hair is always so polite and nice. He makes my whole experience so much better. He remembers what I buy every morning and has it ready and waiting for me. Great customer service from this young man! I’ve had previous experiences at this location that were not so nice and stopped going for a long time. He makes my day a bit brighter. Kudos for such a pleasant person Cold Spot!”

“Honestly the best pizza place around, not because there Pizza is the best it's good but nothing crazy. What makes this place different is the staff.

The delivery driver drove to me not once, not twice, but 3 times to ensure that we got my son's pizza box.

My son has a few special needs. Basically it meant a lot to him that we supported him by getting him HIS pizza box that he made for a school fundraiser. The delivery driver made damn sure we did too, there were some mixups back at the store which totally makes sense I am sure they were slammed, not complaining, but praising how on what must have been a hectic night the driver and the staff made sure we got that darn box.

We usually get the same driver who drives a truck and is husky not sure his name, but my kids love him. He always is friendly, just a super cool human being.

Anyways just saying that the staff at this store is top notch and if there Upper management does not give them a reward in the next 30 days they should be fired and hire new upper management. Lol halfway joking but I will check in to make sure they got some kudos for making box night a success at least at my house. If you guys did not do anything for them, I will. I will also give them the option to get a new job where they will be appreciated at another local place as I know a good bit of GM's in this area.”
