“I grew up in South Hills many years ago and we didn't have anything close to the quality of 1010 Bridge St back then. An amazing dining experience, every dish was expertly crafted down to the tiniest detail with the end result being a gastronomic bonanza!! Took my mother and my grandchildren for dinner - it was wonderful. Wish I could get back sooner!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”

“It's not often you see a place rated a perfect 5 stars on Google. Believe the hype. Everything I had was the best id ever had. The spinach pie....omg the orzo salad.... perfect the MFin gyro literally gave me goosebumps. If you like Greek food you're an idiot if you miss this place.”

The owner, Bina, served us herself, and she was so pleasant and lovely. She made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be eating there again. “From the first step in the door, I knew I was going to have a special experience. The service was friendly, informative and gracious. I love, owner, Mario’s style of espresso and the gelato is out of this world. I have tried and loved many of their flavors, but recently discovered Cafe Romeo’s toasted marshmallow. It tastes exactly like what the name suggests. What a treat. I have been and always will be a big fan of this place!”

As is the case with many little dive bars, the craft beer selection is sparse, however all expected classic drink are available at an affordable price. I think I remember seeing food being available but I wasn't hungry so can't report on that.”

“I thought this place would be smaller but it’s actually pretty comfortable on the inside. The bar runs the length of the dining area with plenty of space between it and the tables. Since it was my first time here I let them order for me and I got the street tacos and it was delicious. The service was great and they were really kind to me. I am excited to go back and have more. They even brought me my own big bowl of chips. Which was nice as I was by myself and starving. I couldn’t have had a better first experience at a place. Nice to have a Mexican restaurant downtown and within walking distance in all of Charleston. The atmosphere is dark and the decor is really aesthetically pleasing. It really works for setting the mood. Good place to watch the games I imagine though none were on while I was in. I will be back with guest.Parking: Parking is limited but you shouldn’t have to park more than a block away at a meter or at the parking garage located on Summers Street. I believe it is free.Wheelchair accessibility: You can get inside the restaurant from the sidewalk and sit at the end cap of the table quite comfortably.”

“What a delightfully delicious dining experience! Our food was terrific, especially the Angel Hair Crabcakes, and our cocktails were out of this world! Our server, Crystal, was the epitome of the best of the best! She made excellent food suggestions and never made us feel rushed. Kudos to Crystal! On our next visit to Charleston you can be sure we will once again dine at Hale House!”

“This place is an amazing treasure with friendly workers. We arrived at the hotel across the street on a rainy night and didn't want to go far. The restaurant next to the hotel got mediocre reviews so we decided to try Barone Brothers which got excellent reviews. Wow. The Great reviews couldn't have prepared us for the amazing toasted Italian sub my husband ordered. The meats were hearty deli slices. The sandwich was cooked to perfection. I ordered a Greek salad. The salad was nice and cold. The mix of veggies was perfection. The dressing was good. Maybe more Italian inspired but it was a perfect compliment to the salad. We would stop off the interstate again specifically to go to this charming little place. It's not fancy. They appear to do mostly a takeout business, but they do have seating. We arrived close to closing time, and were not rushed or made to feel like an imposition at all. They treated us like we were right on time. So friendly..”
