“This place is an amazing treasure with friendly workers. We arrived at the hotel across the street on a rainy night and didn't want to go far. The restaurant next to the hotel got mediocre reviews so we decided to try Barone Brothers which got excellent reviews. Wow. The Great reviews couldn't have prepared us for the amazing toasted Italian sub my husband ordered. The meats were hearty deli slices. The sandwich was cooked to perfection. I ordered a Greek salad. The salad was nice and cold. The mix of veggies was perfection. The dressing was good. Maybe more Italian inspired but it was a perfect compliment to the salad. We would stop off the interstate again specifically to go to this charming little place. It's not fancy. They appear to do mostly a takeout business, but they do have seating. We arrived close to closing time, and were not rushed or made to feel like an imposition at all. They treated us like we were right on time. So friendly..”

I got the steak pizza and my friend got one but I forgot which. The horseradish was a bit hinted which was nice because I’m not super into horseradish but I can appreciate what they did with the pizza. They also gave a great selection of beers! If I go back to town I’d come here again.”

It was hard to figure out what type of sushi to get, they have their own specific recipes that are different enough from typical recipes that it was hard to know what to get. The salad was okay, except for the water in the bottom of the bowl? It was odd and diluted the delicious ginger dressing. Overall though, the meal was good. Fried rice was delicious, hibachi was well prepared.”

The menu has changed some over the years but the quality and consistency has not. The Greek Salad Bowl with house made fresh poppy seed rolls are perfect to start. The seafood is reflective of what's in season the catch but if it n doubt the blackened yellowfin tuna steak never disappoints. The steaks are great too, as are the Maryland Crab Cakes. And I can't forget to mention the raw bar where the oysters,shrimp, etc are chillin on ice. I only wish they would put my all time favorite meal back on the menu....the marinated Teriyaki Steak with red potatoes. It was one of a kind and set the bar for what I still to this day expect of steak.”

“After so long we FINALLY decided to take a night for ourselves away from the kids. This was our first fine dinning experience at the highly anticipated Chop House in Charleston, WV. We received phenomenal service, and though the wait for our entrees was longer than expected, it was well worth the wait. I enjoyed the lamb chop lollipops with the BEAUTIFUL Beef Wellington, while my wife ordered the Rosemary Chicken. There were a few people that were making a lot of noise and distracting myself and my wife in the dining area, however they were also paying customers just trying to have a good time. I couldn’t have asked for a better night. Thank you for our lovely server that took care of us this evening! I hope to pay another visit soon!”

“We have ordered from Fortune Pavilion many times. It’s a mom and pop restaurant with usually just two people working. Food is cooked fresh to order and is really consistent. The flavors are a little different from what I usually receive from other places. For example the crispy chicken is more spicy and less sweet. There is no inside dinning.”

We had met Nick who works in the kitchen the day before who gave us the recommendation and he was spot on. Really great food with the correct portions. Cocktails were awesome from Derek who was attentive and super knowledgeable.We would definitely recommend this to anyone in the Charleston area to dine at.I’m not surprised that the chef/restaurant is nominated for a major award.Keep up the great work.”

“Today was probably the 5th or 6th visit that we have made to La Roca's within the past year (always for lunch) and we are always pleased with our experience. The food, the service, the menu, and the atmosphere have all consistently been excellent. I am a vegetarian and I can honestly say the Vegetable Fajitas are among the best I have eaten (the Corn and Zucchini Tacos are yummy as well). The portion was more than ample. In fact,I had enough remaining to take home for another meal. My husband is not a vegetarian and has loved everything that he has ordered (he has never had any leftover to take home!). The staff is always pleasant and attentive, which is much appreciated. I have no reason to doubt that our next trip to the Cross Lanes La Roca's (and there will definitely be a next time) will be as outstanding as our previous visits. ??⭐”

“I don’t normally review chains but I visit the captain d’s about once a month for lunch. Each time I’m delighted by the speed and friendliness of the service. My food is either ready by the time I grab my sauces or being place on the table before I sit down. The food is fresh, hot, crispy, and cooked properly. Management is really do a good job of hiring and training people which is exceptionally challenging these days. I rated the atmosphere down a couple of point because the dinning room is showing wear since it’s last update. The prices are much higher but the portions and quality command it.”

“While this Burger King sometimes has a bit of a wait due to being a smaller location inside a gas station, the wait has always been worth it. It seems the food is always super fresh, and nice and hot. I'd much rather have a slightly longer wait if my food will be fresh instead of getting food that has been sitting under a warmer for an hour. The spicy chicken 'Ch'King' sandwiches I've gotten here have been among the best I've had. Super crispy, and well flavored. Definitely give this location a try if you haven't!”

The only negatives I can think of is that the service is pretty slow when you visit the courtesy window, which is likely because there isnt enough staff to run it. The employees are very kind. STaffing shortages are to be blamed on the corporation and not it's poorly compensated in-store employees.I love rallys and will come again. I visit often as an employee in the Plaza.”

Both of us got the sirloin, and they were perfectly cooked and huge! Only issue was the carrots were way under cooked.”

“After several hours spent at CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital, we decided to stop in for a quick bite before heading back to Beckley. We were pleasantly surprised by the quick service and the friendly faces that met us at the window. The employees were extremely attentive, ensuring that we received proper care, even though we used the app to place a mobile order. We had requested barbecue sauce, and though they didn’t have it, instead of ignoring our request completely, they asked if there were any other sauces that would suffice. The food was hot. The only thing I could comment on would probably be the nuggets which could have been a little crispier. We will definitely be back!”

“This is the second time I've been here to eat . Both times was good. First time a little better I'd have to say due to service. It wasn't as busy this time, but it took forever to get our drinks. I turned my stopwatch on my phone when she came back to take our order without the drinks. 8 mins 5secs later , we got them. My drink was horrible and my son's drink was too strong and wasn't good, he said. Vodka and very little redbull. I got something with way too much Midori .The food was great. Both times. I got the Greek quesadilla and deep fried feta. I forget what my son got but he loved it. Some kind of huge hot dog looking thing. We got the baklava and ice-cream for dessert. YummyThe manager was on the scene greeting all the customers and had a very pleasant attitude despite some light sarcasm I might have let slip my lips. (We waited another 10 minutes on the baklava lol ) ?‍♀️So worth the wait!”

“Hadn’t been here in so I long I don’t remember if I’ve ever been. Went in for a lunch at about 12:30. Had to wait approximately 30 mins to be seated. Table was sticky bc they need refinished. Kinda gross and made me feel like it was dirty. Asked her to wipe it and the rag just stuck to the table. Ordered my 6oz sirloin steak medium. Cooked perfectly and was good steak. Baked sweet potato and Mac and cheese was good as well. Aside from the table I’ll be back and hope to be seated at a better non sticky table.”

“I love Applebee's and the food is great and fast, but every time I go there to eat, what I want to eat is gone for that visit and it's because I believe that the management doesn't know how to keep the stock ordered for the public.
