“First time eating here and I have a serious allergy so who served me was very patient, read the ingredients in the sauces, etc, explained to me how their menu worked, and was generally very nice. The restaurant was clean and music wasn't too loud to be able to enjoy eating in. The portion vs what a paid was great with very fresh ingredients - and I went at 6pm! Will be back. :)“

“If we are in town we go to Me & Ed's Pizza. It really is the best pizza. Tomato allergy? No problem asthey make fabulous pesto based pizza so everyone can have fun and socialize over beer and pizza. For many years we would have to go to the Burnaby or Coquitlam locations. You know it is amazingly because we live on an island and wehave been going here for over 30 years,“

“Simple place, good food and reasonably priced. Presentation is great but taste good as well. Service was fast too. There are so many choices which are unique. Not a typical Japanese restaurant. Our favorite is the salmon tartare, salmon carpaccio and club salmon poke. We tried the aburi salmon shikoya - salmon with zucchini roll, its just okay for us but not outstanding. Will definitely come back again to try the other dishes.“

“More like a 3.5-3.8 stars. They don't take reservation before 8pm and not for party less than 4, which seems like a weird policy. Server suggested me to call 30 minutes before to be put on a waitlist, so I did. I arrived at 7pm and was seated promptly. They have the Bites of Burnaby available, I ordered the papaya salad, soft shell crab soup noodle, mango panna cotta & and salted plum soda. For $35, that's quite a lot of food! The papaya salad tastes just as expected, quite a generous portion. The soft shell crab soup is quite thick, not like a pho broth. It's more like stew. The tapioca noodles are softer than expected. The soft shell crab itself has good flavour, but the soup and noodles lack depth and dynamics in flavour. Mango panna cotta is quite nice, but the salt plum soda is too salty. Service is quite attentive and price is reasonable. I'll likely go again to try other dishes, hopefully other signature dishes are more impressive. But with Hoang Yen opening a Burnaby location, it's a very tough competition.“

“I had a great experience with the service today, I ordered the southwest chicken bowl and as always delicious. Then there was a little misunderstanding with one of the things I ordered and Sky was quick to help me and solve the problem, I leave with a full stomach and a smile.“

“This place is so good that I want to gatekeep it… but a girls gotta share!! As students, this is literally our new favourite sushi place in all of the greater Vancouver area. We’ve tried an assortment of rolls and they’ve all been absolutely out of this world delicious!! Not only is Salmon Wave affordable, the staff are SO lovely and the hours are incredible (especially for students in the area… it’s a great place to study or fulfil evening cravings!!) I’d easily recommend salmon wave to anyone!! ???Pictured is the volcano roll, the French kiss roll, the baked salmon roll, and two cups of heart warming miso soup :)“
